We are looking for a candidate with strong budget oversight and organisational skills to join our small team and be our lead for Camden's Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme, a national programme funded by the Department for Education. With the support of YCF's Head of Partnerships & Grants and CEO, you will oversee and manage a significant budget, and all project management aspects of the programme, to ensure excellent, high-quality provision for Camden's Free School Meal eligible children and young people. 

In August 2025, the programme was extended nationally by the DfE for an additional three years, and we await confirmation as to the exact allocation for Camden, which would hopefully enable us to extend this role to a three year contract to 2029. 

About the HAF programme in Camden and this role

Young Camden Foundation has been Camden Council’s delivery partner for the national, Department for Education funded Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme since its inception in 2021. The programme distributes around £800,000 per year to support Free School Meal eligible children and young people in the borough across the main holidays of Spring, Summer and Winter.

You will lead all project management, from budget stewardship to overseeing programme delivery, with the support of the team. You will oversee a complex budget of around £800,000 ensuring its effective use throughout the year. You will ensure that each HAF programme in Camden offers young participants a diverse and enjoyable range of activities provided by respected organisations, operating at the highest levels of safety, quality, and in alignment with the Department for Education’s funding requirements. You will lead on all reporting, data processing, overseeing of invoicing, and communications of the programme.

We are looking for an Interim Director of Research (Maternity Cover) who will lead a talented research team of staff and associates providing direction and oversight for a diverse, ambitious research portfolio. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play an essential role in strategy and have a hands-on approach from quality assurance and developing research practice, to managing projects and nurturing partnerships.

You will need to have deep roots in qualitative research, as well as the work of charities and funders, with experience of line management, team supervision and leading on new work development.

Your role

The Role

The People Partner will work closely with managers and teams across the organisation, providing trusted HR advice and practical support throughout the employee lifecycle. You’ll balance operational delivery with strategic input, helping to embed policies, strengthen management capability, and drive engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Partnering (30%) – First point of contact for HR queries and truly partner with your area of the Foundation by building trusted relationships, coaching managers, and supporting policy implementation.

• People Strategy & Planning (15%) – Supporting and driving engagement initiatives, policy drafting, performance campaigns, and people data reporting.
• People Operations & Admin (30%) – Managing HR records, payroll liaison, benefits administration, and offboarding.
• Recruitment & Onboarding (15%) – Coordinating recruitment processes, onboarding, and inductions for new staff.
• Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (10%) – Helping embed JEDI principles into policies and practices, and acting as a role model for inclusive behaviours.

About FILE

The Foundation for International Law for the Environment (FILE) is a not-for-profit philanthropic organisation working to accelerate legal action on climate change. 

Through grant-making and in-house legal expertise, we empower our partners to deliver strategic, innovative legal interventions and we support lawyers in their own countries to bring their own cases. 

Legal action can unlock the systemic changes in finance, policy and social systems needed to protect all of us from climate change. The power of the law is both direct (changing policy and practice) and indirect (signalling the wider shifts taking place across these systems).

FILE is a ‘regrantor’ - this means we do not bring legal action in our own name. We receive grants from our philanthropic donors and make onwards grants to partners who align with FILE’s charitable aims and purposes. We do not seek to make any profit from our activities either in a relevant financial year or in the longer term.

Location

We are advertising this role for candidates based (and with the right to work) in the UK and in the Netherlands. Please note that you will see this role advertised in multiple locations but that we are only hiring for one position based in either location, and that we are able to offer collaborative working spaces only in the Netherlands and the UK.

Campaign for Better Transport is the leading national charity championing the need for integrated, sustainable and affordable transport. This role will play a significant part in our Policy and Research team and will be responsible for developing and evidencing our policy work to underpin our campaigning, influencing and communications.

The successful candidate will have experience in policy research, a good understanding of quantitative and qualitative research, the ability to develop and utilise appropriate research methods and excellent data analysis skills. They will also have an understanding of Westminster, national, regional and local policy development and delivery processes.

We are open to levels of seniority between officer and manager level, and will appoint the most suitable person to the post, depending on experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Research 
  • Managing and working on research projects that utilise both quantitative and qualitative methods, including drafting and analysing surveys, statistical data analysis, and organising and leading focus groups and expert workshops
  • Drafting written reports, including analysis of the research findings and the policy context, and developing recommendations for policymakers.

• Policy
  • Developing and disseminating the charity’s policy positions based on robust evidence and analysis
  • Managing the delivery of written materials including policy briefings, letters, consultation responses and inquiry submissions.

• External facing 
  • Supporting external communications, including blog writing and acting as a media spokesperson
  • Maintaining effective working relationships and attending meetings with key partners and stakeholders
  • Representing the charity externally at conferences, roundtables and other events.

Person specification

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• An undergraduate qualification (transport, policy or politics related would be a bonus)
• Experience in a similar role (a minimum of one year for the Policy Researcher role, including internships, and three years for the Policy Research Manager role)
• Understanding of quantitative and qualitative research and ability to develop and utilise appropriate research methods 
• Excellent data analysis skills (ability to use data analytical tools desirable)
• Ability to lead workshops and roundtables
• Understanding of Westminster, national, regional and local policy development and delivery processes 
• Understanding of the major issues in sustainable transport (desirable for the Policy Researcher role and essential for the Policy Research Manager role)
• Experience of working effectively with stakeholders from different sectors 
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly 
• Engaging verbal and written communication style tailored for different audiences 
• Confident public speaker and ability to persuade and network effectively

Main purpose of the role 
As our Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of our fundraising strategy, working closely with the Executive Director, the Finance Team, the Insight Fundraising Officer and the Trust and Foundations consultants. The Fundraising Manager will develop existing income streams and strengthen stakeholder and supporter engagement. As Fundraising Manager, you’ll work closely with other global team members to review and implement our fundraising strategy in line with our strategic goals. 

Main Responsibilities: 

1. Play a leading role in the development and delivery of ICC’s fundraising strategy and the success of direct marketing, telemarketing and online campaigns to generate cash, regular giving and Gift Aid. 
2. Plan, research and implement all aspects of direct marketing aimed at acquiring and retaining new and existing supporters. 
3. Establish a robust donor stewardship strategy, building strong relationships with existing  and potential donors and increasing donor retention and engagement 
4. Lead on the cultivation and stewardship of partnerships with churches. 
5. To manage the direction and relationship with our Trust and Foundation consultants by collaborating in the research, writing and submitting targeted Trust applications and report on grants awarded. 
6. Work with the team to support the legacy giving strategy, to maximise long-term income. 
7. To have oversight of the in-house CRM database (Microsoft D365). Work with the team to develop competency in the effective use of our CRM database as part of our donor stewardship and reporting structure. 
8. To assist and promote ICCs presence at fundraising and other events.
9. Manage the ongoing development and implementation of a regular giving strategy and donor care to reduce attrition rates. 
10. Regularly monitor and evaluate direct marketing campaigns, Trust fundraising, recurring giving and legacy fundraising, provide results and feed the learning back into the organisation. 
11. To keep abreast of key issues and best practices within the direct marketing/fundraising sector. 
12. Ensure fundraising practices comply with GDPR, the Data Protection Act and the Code of Fundraising Practice. 
13. Undertake additional duties as requested. 
14. Line manage the Insight Fundraising Officer and lead our Trusts and Foundations partner.

Fundraising Campaigns and Events 

1. Plan, coordinate, and manage our annual fundraising event. 
2. Support the Executive Director on other events. 
3. Project manage our newsletter and appeal campaigns.
