Administration of our Business Support Network

The Woodland Trust is looking for a Volunteer Development Officer in our North region to deliver on the volunteering strategy for the Woodland Trust and Northern England region, that connects to the Trust strategy whilst responds to regional need, adapts to the changing trends in volunteering, and maximises opportunities for volunteers to add value to our work.

The Role: 
•    The role will support compliance including record keeping, induction and training, as well as develop new opportunities based on regional priorities and deliver a range of communication and face to face activities to create a safe and positive volunteering experience.

We’re looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join the Stroke Service based across Newham.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following a stroke.

Position: S11320 Stroke Support Coordinator

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for the efficient running of the income and credit control functions, whilst ensuring information is accurately processed in a timely manner and made available to users. You will be a confident communicator and comfortable working in a small team environment where priorities can change at short notice. 

Main Responsibilities:

• To raise sales invoices and, capture and recognise all non-invoiced income in the relevant period.
• Carry out account reconciliations relating to Credit Control in the balance sheet and income accounts including analysis of aged debtors.
• To maintain debtors’ database, deal with queries and to undertake the reconciliation of debtors’ accounts.
• To be responsible for the accuracy of postings to the nominal ledger within given deadlines.
• To ensure payments of invoices and all other fees/income are received within the stated period.

• A qualification in accounting/finance or significant experience working in a finance/accounting role.

• Demonstrable ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively, both internally within and across teams, and with external partners.

Key responsibilities of the role are:

• Interacting with tenants regarding their accounts, payments, and related queries.

• Undertake the recovery of all rents and other charges due to the Haig Housing, in accordance with the law, best practice and the Trust’s policies and procedures, to maximise the Trust’s income.
