This isn’t a traditional HR role. At Oak, HR is about enabling people to do their life’s best work in an environment of trust, care and autonomy. �� What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years experience in leading the continuous improvement and service delivery of an HR department, with expertise in employment law, diversity and inclusion, and best practice people management/engagement.

• Experience of managing a 5 figure budget.

• Experienced in recruiting and developing a high performing and inclusive organisation as well as experience in managing and coaching direct reports.

• Highly effective listening and communication skills with a high level of empathy and a commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace.

• Collaborative and innovative approach to continuous improvement with a pragmatic and enabling style.

• CIPD qualified or a Masters in Human Resources Management.

• Experienced/qualified in coaching desirable.

About the team 

Trusts and Foundations (T&F) is part of a High Value Partnerships team that sits within an Income Generation Directorate raising £30 million to support Shelter’s work. About £3 million of that is raised by the Trusts team. T&F is currently a team of nine: eight fundraisers – two in Scotland, one in Bristol and the rest in London, plus a Grant Manager supporting role. Half of the England-based team focus more on new business, while the other half manage and maximise our ongoing relationships.

About the roles 

You’ll help delivery our strategy by generating income from mid to high level trusts and foundations. Raising money for our core day-to-day activities, as well as for new projects, you’ll bring our income generation goals to life. You’ll work alongside a Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager and manage a personal portfolio of funders and projects, and you’ll be fully supported by an experienced fundraising team and senior managers in front line services.

The fixed-term role includes line management responsibility for the Trusts Executive, and is focused on maximising existing funder relationships. The permanent role has no line reports and is more focused on securing income from cold and new funders.

About you

As the Senior Legacy Marketing Manager you will be responsible for the day to day implementation of the UK Legacy Marketing programme and also develop the UK and International Legacy Marketing strategy.

The Role
Develop and refine UK and international legacy strategies.

The Candidate
Proven experience in legacy marketing and strategy.
Strong understanding of direct and digital marketing.

The purpose of this role is to support the research team with business as usual (BAU) administrative tasks. This role will not require formal scientific qualifications and the core focus is to help the Research Team deliver their mission more efficiently. The charity’s goal is to spend 50% of all income on research, this presents exciting opportunities to the Research team but ensuring this is spent on world class research which is independently peer reviewed by international experts is a complex process.

The role will involve organising Scientific Advisory Board meetings (flights, hotels, restaurants, meeting rooms, expenses), email and letter writing (award letters,), organising ad hoc meetings and associated travel, arranging training sessions (Grant Tracker), assisting with organising Team days and QoL sandpit organisation. This role will require working across the whole Research Team providing administrative support as required, balancing priorities and liaising with other Teams within the charity.

This role sits within our Research team, reporting into the Head of Research. Our Research team is responsible for shaping, funding, and evaluating research that will drive our vision of people diagnosed with Brain Tumours living longer and better lives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Support the organisation of external research meetings such as Scientific Advisory Board meetings and meetings with researchers, including arranging travel, accommodation and meeting space
• Organise internal research team meetings, including taking minutes and circulating agendas
• Assist research grants team through preparation of outcome letters and communication with researchers
• Assist in maintenance of accurate records for the research team, including document migration and data quality control
• Manage shared research accounts and subscriptions
• Completion of ad hoc tasks to support the research team deliver their goals such as organisation of team training or planning sessions

Oasis Southampton City Farm is a community focused registered charity working in Southampton. We provide a range of supportive, wellbeing boosting, and nature-based activities for our communities, which include young people and adult learners with disabilities.

We are looking for a Community Gardening Assistant who will support the Farm Lead and community development lead for Southampton in delivering the vision for the farm, the oasis academies, and its wider community by supporting the growth of the farms garden project, as well as community gardens across the city. These tasks will include:

 · Delivering garden based educational and wellbeing boosting activities

· Working alongside our volunteers, young people, and adults with learning disabilities to care for the garden by planting, watering, and sowing.

· To work with Oasis Academies across the city, as well as partner organisations, to support the creation of community garden spaces to boost wellbeing across the city.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:

· Relevant qualifications or experience in horticulture
