*This role sits within a pay grade with a pay range of £25,601 to £32,089. The salary on appointment will be set at the lower end of the pay range, to a maximum of £27,568 depending on the candidate's skills and experience. Context and purpose of role 

At the Ramblers, we are committed to providing our supporters with the very best experience possible, placing the Member and Supporter Experience Team at the heart of our operations. The team acts as the first line of support for members and supporters, responding to enquiries, managing interactions, and deepening engagement with the Ramblers. 

This role is instrumental in ensuring a seamless supporter journey, helping to attract, welcome, and retain supporters while providing valuable insights to the organisation to improve supporter experiences. As an ambassador for supporters, the role also contributes to the organisation’s ability to deliver its charitable mission. 

Key responsibilities 

Supporter Engagement 

• Respond to supporter enquiries via phone, letter, email and social media in a timely and professional manner, and with professionalism, empathy and attention to detail. 

• Triage enquiries, referring complaints, safeguarding and safety matters to the specialists in the organisation and escalating other enquiries as needed to subject-matter experts. 

• Listen and respond to the needs of each supporter, understanding their motivations and experiences to foster long-term relationships. 

• Acknowledge and thank donations and other payments in a timely and personalised manner. 

Payment processing 

• Handle and manage the Direct Debit cycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely processing with support from colleagues and finance. 

• Provide monthly KPIs related to Direct Debits to Head of Member and Supporter Experience.

• Process and manage in-bound financial payments in an accurate and timely manner, managing any reconciliation as required. 

• Investigate and resolve any payment issues, liaising with supporters and the payment processor as needed. 

• Support our auditors and finance team on any reconciliation or financial enquiries. 

Data integrity and CRM Management 

• Maintain accurate records of interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints in the CRM system in accordance with data protection and Gift Aid Legislation. 

• Share key supporter data and insights within the organisation to elevate the supporter voice. 

• Support key supporter administration tasks (e.g. welcome pack data send) 

Problem-solving and complaints handling 

• Investigate and resolve low-level issues or complaints, liaising with other colleagues as required and keep supporters informed throughout the process. 

• Handle complex technical enquiries related to our digital tools such as app, website, insight hub. 

• Manage feedback and complaints, following established procedure with a focus on turning negative experiences into positive ones. 

Volunteer support 

• Provide training and support to key volunteers, such as Membership Secretaries, helping them to attract, welcome and retain members. 

• Provide support to office volunteers, ensuring they feel values and supported to carry out their tasks effectively. 

Continuous improvement 

• Input into new digital development to ensure supporters receive value, and to minimise pain points 

Other 

• Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required of the post. 

• Engage and proactively develop excellent working relationships across the organisation.

We're seeking a passionate Childcare Worker to join our Sheffield team, working in an on-site nursery within a residential setting. This opportunity is at our unique, specialist family service. A place where parents experiencing addiction to drugs or alcohol come with their children to change their lives and determine their futures. We’re looking for skilled, dedicated and passionate staff to join us at our Sheffield Family Residential Service.

Within this role, a passion for providing outstanding care for children and displaying a positive attitude is required.  We work with families who have previously struggled with substance use therefore promoting a trusting, positive relationship is important within the role. You will be working in an on-site nursery within the residential setting where we have both a 0–2-year-old room and an over 2-year old’s room which the children attend.

The service is based close to Eccelsall Road/Sheffield Hallam Collegiate Campus area of Sheffield, it is easily accessible. Situated in a large Victorian Building, fully refurbished in 2022, there is free on-site parking as well and is also easily access by multiple bus routes.

About You

• Level 2/3 NVQ in Childcare (or similar)

Fundraiser (digital retail)

We are looking for a fundraiser specialising in digital retail to support children and adult social care services.

Hours:       37.5 hours per week (some evenings and weekends)

Salary:      £34,653 - £38,388 (biennial increments)

Location:   Central Office, Cheadle, Stockport 

Accountable to the Senior Fundraiser and Head of Fundraising to drive fundraising activities and support children and adult social care services, you will contribute to the growth of the organisation by delivering the aims set out in the Together Trust’s strategic plan, fundraising strategy and budgeting process including monitoring income and expenditure for key events and activities. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage online retail platforms like Vinted, Depop, eBay, and Shopify, organise pop-up shops, and grow merchandise sales.
• Be an ambassador for our cause, manage volunteers and work experience students ensuring a mutually beneficial volunteering experience with our online shops. 
• Manage personal target related to certain key performance indicators.
• Monitor and report on progress against financial targets and KPIs to an agreed timescale.
• Act as an effective ambassador for the Together Trust at meetings and events, including making presentations or speeches of thanks in accordance with brand guidelines.

About you:

We are looking for someone who has;

• An undergraduate degree in a related field or NVQ Level 3 or 4 in a related field. 
• Proven experience of achieving financial targets with a fundraising or sales environment.
• Experience in public speaking and delivering presentations.
• Experience of managing and developing effective use of data bases and/or donor management systems.
• Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and targets, set and work to budgets and to use own initiative.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft packages, databases, digital channels, Canva.

• Contribute to a communication and stewardship programme.
• Collaborate with fundraising colleagues to track and report on prospecting activities.
• Take responsibility for ensuring that fundraising partnerships with charitable trusts and foundations achieve their maximum potential. 
• Work with the Philanthropy, Trusts, and Prospect Development Managers to identify new prospects.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Service Manager, based in our North-East region, to oversee our Anti-Trafficking and Modern Slavery Outreach and Accommodation support. This role is to manage and maintain high levels of service delivery. You will directly oversee coordinators. You will work with those Coordinators to ensure that; contractual KPI's are met, service users are supported effectively, staff are developed, and internal processes and procedures are followed to a high standard. The NE Service Manager will be the main point of contact for regional events and responsibilities. Where required, you will also play a role in implementing service and system improvements.

Responsibilities:

Service Management

• Oversight, line management coaching and support of Coordinators including effective supervisions and annual appraisals.

• Ensure all Service Users are being supported effectively and assist Coordinators with problem-solving and managing incidents, safeguarding issues, and complex cases.

• Ensure all staff are supported and managed effectively by their Coordinators, this includes leave, performance, wellbeing, and training.

• Communicate with the Salvation Army Modern Slavery team where necessary.

• Regular visits to all accommodation sites

• Work collaboratively with People and Culture staff to support and manage staff as needed.

• Organise and run the on-call rota for the service.

• Oversee other services or a team in the absence of Coordinator (ie. Holiday or sickness).

Safeguarding

• Ensure your team works proactively and closely with the Safeguarding Lead to keep all Service Users and Staff safe from harm.

• Ensure that the safeguarding policy and reporting system are strictly adhered to.

Health & Safety / Facilites Management

• Ensure lone-working safety procedures are implemented and sustained.

• Understand H&S standards & requirements and ensure they are monitored and maintained.

• To act as office manager for the regional office:

• Work closely and collaboratively with Facilities, LifeSupply, Operations, Devices, and People and Culture on this area.

• To oversee regular health and safety checks, office furniture & supplies and to liaise with finance re suppliers for this building.

• To support and when required facilitate, regional events and training

Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure all KPIs and standards are met and tracked by staff including referrals, exits, RNAs, and accommodation standards.

• Ensure all Weekly Overviews, checklists, audits, and other quality control systems created by the Assurance team are used consistently and processes are adhered to.

• Manage Service User or external complaints with the support of Senior Service manager when necessary.

• Ensure all month-end procedures are followed by staff, and information submitted effectively.

• Manage all performance issues raised by the Assurance team effectively and proactively.

• Ensure the Service is prepared for internal or external inspection & auditing from CQC, The Salvation Army, etc.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with the Head of Service in developing local partnerships and networks.

• Represent Causeway externally at events.

• Proactively engage in Networks and Forums you are assigned to.

Financial Control

• In collaboration with the Senior Service Manager ensure spending is in line with the MSVCC contract, policy, and budget.

• Communicating with the finance team appropriately with regards to month-end, financial requirements for the service, and problem-solving.

• Sign off expenses and spend in-line with expenses policy.

Training, Learning, & Development

• Support other Services & Innovations e.g. LifeSupply & Bright Future.

• Support the work of the Communication Department as requested.

• Develop and deliver training in conjunction with the People & Culture team.

Organisational Responsibilities

• As the most senior member of staff in the region, be a point of contact for the region and be a representative of Causeway’s values and culture amongst the staff team.

• To take the lead on any new projects that may take place, asked to do so by LM.

• To support any regional events such as staff meetings, training, external events etc.

• Attend relevant team meetings management meetings, and local team meetings.

• To be ‘on-call’, out of hours approximately one week in three/four - managing and accepting referrals and dealing with out-of-hours incidents.

Our partnership in Zambia is six years old. King’s Global Health Partnerships (KGHP) initiated a long-term partnership with Arthur Davison Children’s Hospital and Ndola Teaching hospital, in Ndola province, Zambia. Work in Zambia has focused on maternal and newborn health, breast cancer surgery, antimicrobial stewardship and health worker wellbeing.

KGHP is based within the School of Life Course & Population Sciences. The School of Life Course & Population Sciences is one of five Schools that make up the Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine at King’s College London. The School unites experts across 5 departments, Women and Children’s health, Nutritional Sciences, Population Health Sciences, Ophthalmology and Twins & Genetic Epidemiology, overall covering the complexities of life course health & disease from individual cells molecular genetics to whole population level.

Our research links the causes of common health problems to life’s landmark stages, treating life, disease and healthcare as a continuum. We are interdisciplinary by nature and hugely successful: 91 per cent of our research submitted to the Subjects Allied to Medicine (Pharmacy, Nutritional Sciences and Women's Health cluster) for REF was rated as world-leading or internationally excellent. About the role

We are looking for a Programme Manager to lead on the management of our current programme activities in Somaliland and Zambia. The role will lead on the management of various grants/ projects within our Somaliland and Zambia partnerships as well as strengthening our partnership approaches in these two countries. The role will be responsible for project closeout, startup of new projects secured as well as developing new funding proposals to support the aims as set out in our partnership and organisational strategies. 

About You

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

1. BSc or MSc in Global Health or International Relations or aligned subject
2. Relevant experience managing multiple projects (including large and complex grants/contracts) throughout the full project cycle, preferably projects delivered by consortiums
3. Relevant experience working collaboratively with partner organisations in low resource settings
4. Financial management and budgeting experience for complex multi-year, multi-partner projects
5. Experience of developing MEL strategies for large and complex programmes, including developing indicators, theories of change, learning processes
6. Experience coordinating and managing the development of successful funding proposals including institutional donors such as FCDO and the DHSC
7. Significant experience in donor compliance and relationship management, preferably including trusts and foundations and institutional donors

You will streamline governance processes, provide logistical support for meetings, maintain records, and track actions to ensure compliance with governance standards. Position Overview: The Funder & Engagement Officer will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between funders and the charities we support. Key Responsibilities: 

Fundraising Support: 

• Provide personalised consultations to charities/NFPs we work with to develop and refine their grants and trusts strategies.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

• Proficiency in using digital tools for remote work and virtual collaboration.
