About the role

As  Programme Manager, you'll manage, advise and support our  Pathways Coordinators in schools and other partner organisations. 1. Fundraising Strategy & Planning

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans as part of our Active Journeys South and East team covering projects across London and South East, where you will help shape healthier, happier communities through walking, wheeling, and cycling. 

As Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the design, delivery, and oversight of behaviour change and engagement projects, as well as leading and supporting the delivery team. We are looking for a dynamic and people-focussed Finance Coordinator to take our organisation to the next phase: this is a fantastic opportunity to have a real impact at a fast-growing organisation. We have recently upgraded our finance systems to Xero and updated our processes: we now want to build on this success. The Finance Coordinator will prepare financial reports for the board and ensure compliance with financial regulations. They will work with our bookkeeper to ensure excellent day-to-day financial management. They will collaborate with our Project Leads, supporting them to set and manage budgets, report quarterly to the board, and ensure all project income and expenditure is recorded accurately in Xero. They will also use produce cashflow forecasts and scenarios using the Xero integration with Syft that Selce has implemented. They will also play a role in HR processes reviewing timesheets monthly and ensuring contracts are amended as staff roles evolve. This role is crucial in supporting the financial health and sustainability of our organisation.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

· Review financial data and prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports.

· Present financial reports with variance analysis and commentary for the board.

· Support with the preparation of annual accounts, working with Selce’s nominated accountants and the Board.

First Give inspires young people to make a difference to causes they care about. We work in partnership with secondary schools, providing a fully resourced scheme of work that guides an entire year group of students to engage with local charities and causes, and then carry out social action (fundraising, raising awareness, campaigning, volunteering etc) in support of them.

Programme Delivery Officer role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join our Programmes Team as a Programme Delivery Officer. PDOs will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the delivery of the First Give programme in up to 50 schools, ensuring smooth running of the programme, plus providing guidance and troubleshooting for the lead teachers at First Give partner schools.

The role will be hybrid, with 3 days a week in our main offices in West Hampstead, London. Regular travel to schools across London and the South East will be required.

We seek a proactive Philanthropy Manager to join its successful Fundraising Team and lead the organisation's first-ever major donor programme. This new role offers the opportunity to shape how the charity engages with high-net-worth individuals from the ground up. Reporting to the Director of Fundraising, the postholder will develop and implement a new major donor strategy and cultivate long-term relationships with major donors. The role will also involve working closely with senior leadership, subject matter experts and trustees to identify and engage prospects, host donor events, and steward high-value supporters.

The ideal candidate will be a confident and hands-on fundraiser with a strong track record in major donor giving. They will be skilled at building meaningful relationships and crafting compelling communications that inspire support. With excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, they will thrive in a small but ambitious team and be passionate about the charity's mission to protect people and nature from harmful chemicals.

What You'll Do:

• Set up and manage tuition programmes for schools and Local Authorities and charities.
• Match tutors to students based on individual needs, availability, and subject expertise.
• Act as the main point of contact for families, tutors, school/LA staff, and link workers throughout each programme.
• Review EHCPs, student profiles, and supporting documentation to understand individual learning needs and tailor support accordingly.
• Respond to new tuition referrals and gather the information needed to plan appropriate support.
• Deliver tutor induction sessions to support onboarding and prepare tutors for their roles.
• Complete Risk Assessments prior to the start of each tuition programme.
• Share lesson feedback, gather input from stakeholders, and monitor student progress.
• Report on the impact of tuition and flag any concerns or areas for improvement.
• Attend tutor interviews and liaise with the recruitment team to fill roles.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout the day to ensure smooth programme delivery.
• Attend regular stakeholder meetings and share updates on student progress.
• Refer any safeguarding concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).

We’re looking for someone who:

• Communicates clearly, empathetically, and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Builds trust and maintains strong relationships through consistent, responsive, and thoughtful communication.
• Is highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple programmes and priorities at once.
• Stays calm and adaptable in a fast-paced environment, responding to challenges with confidence and a problem-solving mindset.
• Takes initiative to resolve day-to-day issues and improve systems and processes where needed.
• Is proficient in Google Sheets, Docs, and Gmail, and comfortable learning new digital tools.
• Has a genuine interest in education and in supporting students with diverse and complex needs.
• Has experience providing administrative or operational support to a team, ideally within an educational or youth-focused setting.
• Can work from our office in Angel, London four days a week, with the option to work remotely one day per week.
• Shares our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Bonus if you have:

• Experience working with children with SEND, SEMH, and EHCPs.
• Knowledge of the UK education system.
• A background in teaching or coordination.
• Experience using tracking systems or CRMs.

CRM Manager -to spearhead a step change in our organisation's CRM approach. This is a pivotal role where you'll shape and deliver a new customer-centric strategy, using our Consumer Value Model and audience segmentation to drive engagement, increase visits, and boost revenue across our commercial activities.

As the Trusts Manager, you will manage your own portfolio of five-figure Trust donors and take ownership of relationships to secure funding from both existing and new supporters. The post holder will join a team of safeguarding officers who will carry specific responsibility for individual cases, undertake risk assessments, lead training and advise churches. The post will be aligned with specific Methodist districts and provide support to colleagues across the regional area requiring regular travel.
