Overview

The Member Engagement Administrator will play a key role in supporting the eAA’s member engagement and event activities. This post will focus on increasing participation across the Association’s Special Interest Group (SIG) programme, supporting online and in-person events, and assisting in the delivery of the International Awards and International Conference.

The e-Assessment Association (eAA) is a not-for-profit membership organisation based in the UK that brings together everyone with an interest in digital assessment. Since 2008, the eAA has championed the adoption of technology-enhanced assessment across education, training, and professional learning.

Key Responsibilities

Special Interest Group (SIG) Support:

• Manage the administration and coordination of the eAA’s Special Interest Groups.
• Support and prompt volunteer leads to ensure each SIG remains active and productive.
• Coordinate and schedule SIG meetings and online events, including setting up Cvent/ Zoom/Teams sessions and distributing materials.
• Assist with follow-up actions such as publishing content, circulating recordings, and gathering member feedback.
• Monitor engagement levels and prepare summary reports for the Operations Manager and Board.

Event Support (Online and In-person):

• Assist in the setup, promotion, and delivery of online events, including webinars, panel discussions, and SIG sessions.
• Manage speaker liaison, registration processes, and event logistics.
• Support the delivery of major eAA events including the International Conference (2026) and the International Awards Gala Dinner, including administrative coordination and event materials.
• Ensure a positive participant experience by handling communications and post-event follow-up.

Membership and Communications:

• Respond to member and volunteer enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Support the creation and distribution of newsletters, announcements, and updates about SIG and event activity.
• Contribute to website updates and online event listings (including management of our online ‘Events Calendar’).

General Administrative Support:

• Maintain accurate records and documentation in shared systems 
• Support the wider team on projects or tasks as directed by the Operations Manager.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

• Work closely with internal teams, volunteers, and external partners.
• Attend in-person team meetings and support in-person at Association events (Time-Off-In-Lieu policy in operations for additional hours worked). 

General:

• Maintain records, files, and documentation in an organised manner.
• Assist with special projects as required
• Other appropriate tasks and roles as delegated by the Operations Manager
• To undertake other duties which may, from time to time, be necessary to further the work of eAA.

Please note, there will be the occasional requirement (c. 6 times per year) to travel nationally (UK) for events and team meetings. These instances will include overnight stays. There may be future requirement for some international travel. 

Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• At least 2 years’ experience in an administrative support role.
• Experience managing events (especially online events such as webinars or small conferences).
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• ‘Tech-savvy’ with a willingness and ability to adapt to new technologies and programmes, including AI. Confident using digital tools such as Microsoft Office, Zoom/Teams, and social media platforms.
• Ability to work independently in a remote team environment.

Desirable Skills: 

• Experience working in a membership organisation, charity, or non-profit setting.
• Familiar with CRM systems, preferably HubSpot.
• Familiar with content creation tools such as Canva.
• Experience using event platforms such as Cvent. 
• Passion for education and technology, with a commitment to promoting the use of e-assessment.

About Adolescent Health Study

The Adolescent Health Study (AHS) is an ambitious new UKRI-funded initiative to establish a prospective, longitudinal population study that will generate a globally leading open science data platform and research resource. AHS aims to recruit at least 100,000 young people from across the UK and to follow their mental and physical health and wellbeing over at least 10 years. It plans to collect data through questions and measures; to obtain bio-samples for a wide range of genomic and other high-throughput assays; and to capture linked data relevant to health and wellbeing from participants’ health, education and other administrative records. There will be a strong emphasis on engaging with and involving young people, schools, parents and other relevant stakeholders in the design and delivery of the study, as well as on including young people that represent as wide as possible a range of backgrounds, experiences and characteristics. AHS will focus on enabling a wide range of research, including studies of the critical biological and social developments that occur during the transition from childhood to adulthood and the determinants of both mental and physical health and wellbeing in adolescents and young adults.

Purpose of the post

Main responsibilities

Financial Strategy and Planning
• Develop and implement robust financial strategies to support the organisation’s strategic goals.

We're looking for a new Senior Campaigning Copywriter to join our Copywriting team. This position takes a lead role in our campaigning communications, using the power of language to present complex policy issues in a way that drives change and mobilises people to take action.

You’ll be responsible for delivering and developing our fortnightly email newsletter for campaigning supporters, called Action for Nature, working in close collaboration with the Campaigns team. You have your own experience of campaigning, be politically engaged, follow the news agenda, and be able to respond to emerging situations.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring the RSPB's tone of voice, house style and brand expression are consistently reflected across the RSPB’s communications channels - and particularly in our campaigning voice.

Governance Manager (12-months maternity cover)

About the role

This is an exciting time to join Emmaus UK and provide maternity cover for our Governance Manager.

This standalone role is responsible for managing the operations of the board and committees of Emmaus UK, as well as for providing support to local boards at Emmaus communities across Great Britain as they look to develop their governance arrangements.

The postholder will manage the board of trustees, leading on recruitment, induction and compliance, ensuring meetings run smoothly and are minuted effectively. They will also work as company secretary, managing the smooth-running of the AGM, and ensuring returns are made to Companies House and the Charity Commission within appropriate timeframes.

The Governance Manager is responsible for monitoring the development of policies, tracking completion and working with managers to continuously improve policies in line with changing regulation.

The role will also involve extensive work with members of the Emmaus movement, through the performance of reviews of local governance of members, reporting back to local boards on areas to celebrate and actions to develop. They will also be responsible for developing Emmaus UK’s best practice toolkit for trustees to refer to in developing their local governance arrangements, and for liaising with the wider Emmaus movement through facilitation of the membership processes with Emmaus Europe and Emmaus International.

Emmaus UK Governance

• Manage the board of trustees, leading on recruitment, delivering a comprehensive and appropriate induction, dealing with enquiries, maintaining declarations of interest, skills audit and eligibility forms and ensuring all details are up to date and accurate.
• Act as company secretary for Emmaus UK, leading on the preparation for and delivery of the Annual General Meeting, filing required returns, developing documents associated with membership, and ensuring the charity is compliant with relevant charity and company law.

​Board and Committee Meetings

• Coordinate board meetings including organising venues, liaison with the relevant secretary and chairs in creating agendas, preparing and distributing papers and taking and circulating accurate minutes
• Oversee the smooth-running of committee meetings in conjunction with the admin team, including creation of the annual calendar.
• Ensure all follow up actions are coordinated, and ongoing rolling actions logs are maintained and appropriately shared with the Emmaus UK staff team.

Emmaus UK Governance Development

• Lead on governance projects within Emmaus UK, including but not limited to risk, policy management and internal governance reviews, reporting to the Board and subcommittees as appropriate.
• Provide governance advice and support to staff members on an ad hoc basis.
• Monitor all internal policies and procedures ensuring they are fit for purpose and kept under review by the relevant staff members.

​Federation Governance

• Lead on reviews of members’ local governance arrangements, scheduling, undertaking analysis, reviewing documentation, collating responses from members and observations from Emmaus UK Senior Leadership Team members, and reporting to local boards on findings and Emmaus UK’s Audit & Risk Committee on emerging themes.
• Provide guidance for federation members on governance development through ad hoc advice, the production of governance toolkits and supporting resources.
• Facilitate the membership processes and requirements for Emmaus Europe and Emmaus International, supporting transitioning members and contributing to movement-wide events such as the World and Regional Assemblies, international visits and exchange programmes.

Whether assisting students and residents on a daily basis, supporting weekend residentials, conferences and events, or working with the team which delivers our annual Foundation Celebration, this role is at the heart of providing a welcoming campus environment.

The Campus Accommodation and Hospitality Manager will lead a team of reception and housekeeping staff to deliver and administer a full range of campus services. As well as providing an efficient and welcoming reception service, this includes the management of meeting rooms, accommodation booking, achieving and maintaining high standards of housekeeping, and overseeing contracted catering and refreshment services. The postholder will be part of a committed staff team, giving and receiving support to deliver the operational needs of the Foundation in a way which reflects our ethos of hospitality, care and community. 

This is a full-time role, with some evening and weekend work during weekend residentials and other events. The postholder will also participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota.

Key responsibilities

1. To manage the delivery of accommodation and hospitality operations.

• Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors from diverse backgrounds and denominations.
• Oversee the day-to-day running of hospitality services including accommodation, catering and menus, and support for conferences and events.
• Represent the staff team on hospitality matters at the Foundation’s residents’ and community forum meetings
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service across all facilities
• Liaise with Facilities Manager regarding maintenance needs arising in meeting rooms and accommodation 

2. To manage a team of hospitality staff.

• Draw up duty rotas for the Hospitality team based on varying operational need.
• Provide ongoing support, training, and development for team members.
• Carry out line management responsibilities in line with the Foundation’s HR policies and procedures

3. To manage the delivery of events and conferences.

• Generate quotes for events and conferences in consultation with internal and external organisers
• Support marketing for events, conferences, and other campus activities
• Oversee the Hospitality team to ensure effective administration for the smooth delivery of hospitality for teaching, residentials, events and conferences.
• Oversee room bookings, check-ins/outs, ensuring smooth turnaround of all accommodations between occupancy.

4. Procurement

• Manage procurement for hospitality goods and services in consultation with the Management Accountant and the Director of Operations.
• Monitor costs and implement efficiencies while maintaining quality.

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Asset Manager to own the transition to a new, user-centred Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, Bynder, at a pivotal moment in our modernisation journey.

Working with the Senior Product Manager for Brand Systems, you'll ensure Bynder evolves to meet user and organisational needs, acting as our central hub for visual brand assets. You'll support data migration, contribute to metadata and tagging strategies, and help improve our current processes to strengthen the Brand & Marketing team's vision and responsibilities.

You'll work closely with our communications teams, as well as colleagues across the organisation in frontline science, membership and fundraising roles. You'll also manage and support relationships with creative and strategic partners to make sure our systems deliver imagery that reflects the breadth of our conservation work and the diversity of the communities we represent for nature.

This is a new role with the opportunity to shape how we look after one of our most important resources, our brand visual identity, and to help colleagues across the organisation make the most of it.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the day-to-day product owner for Bynder, configuring permissions and workflows.
• Maintain a simple backlog of user feedback and system developments, prioritising improvements in line with brand and organisational goals.
• Support the configuration and ongoing optimisation of Bynder to meet internal user needs across brand, marketing and communications teams, as well as the wider organisation and creative and commercial partners.
• Develop and implement, and continually improve, metadata schema, tagging conventions and folder structures that reflect brand priorities and user needs.
• Help apply and maintain a curation strategy aligned to our core brand themes and communication needs.
• Help deliver team training on Bynder across brand, marketing and communications, supporting teams to become both fluent users and champions of the new DAM.
• Provide guidance, documentation and onboarding for users across the organisation.
• Act as the first-line system administrator for Bynder during rollout, focusing on permissions, workflows and approval processes in collaboration with colleagues in Digital Data and Technology.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Proven experience working with Bynder or other enterprise-level Digital Asset Management systems.
• Experience designing metadata and asset categorisation strategies.
• Strong understanding of asset lifecycle, curation, rights management and taxonomy.
• Understanding of asset value in both strategic and commercial contexts, including how to compete or compare against commercial photo libraries.
• Experience managing transitions or migrations between digital platforms.
• Confident communicator, able to act as the voice of the user, collaborate across teams and translate user needs into platform structure.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Understanding of branding, content workflows, and the needs of creative or communications teams.

Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:

• Previous experience in brand, marketing, content operations or product ownership, particularly where digital asset management or creative workflow systems were involved.
• Familiarity with onboarding and training content creators or comms staff on digital tools including creating training materials.
• Knowledge of creative file formats (e.g. image, video, design assets) and usage rights.

About the Role

Working alongside the Managing Director, you will play a key role in supporting the day to day running of the BDD Foundation. You will help support the smooth operation of charity projects, media campaigns, and collaborations, while supporting the delivery of the charity’s community engagement and outreach activities.

A key focus of this role will be managing and maintaining the charity’s digital presence, including social media channels, newsletters, and website updates. You will plan, create, edit, and share content that reflects the charity’s mission and values, moderate online communities in line with our Social Media Policy, and collate insights to continually improve engagement and reach. The role also includes oversight of the volunteer and fundraising inboxes, ensuring timely responses and smooth communication.
