Our counsellor’s offer assessments and counselling sessions to children and young people within the newly commissioned ‘blended’ tier 2 Counselling Service for young people aged 11-18 with mild to moderate mental health difficulties. The role represents the operational face of the service in community settings and the post holder will be required to support children / young people accessing provision within the emotional well-being pathway

Qualifications, knowledge, and experience

We are recruiting a qualified counsellor, who has experience working with children and young people, delivering face to face counselling and carrying out assessments with young people to include working with high risk and complex issues. You will have a graduate or post-graduate level Counselling Diploma, or equivalent, and a minimum of two years post-qualifying experience. You will also need to be BACP Registered/Accredited or registered with another recognised professional body (e.g. HPC, UKCP). You will be able to work within the framework of an 6-session model and carry out individual assessments, offer face-to-face counselling or online counselling and group work to children and young people.

The successful applicant will have experience of managing risk, with effective communication around safeguarding procedures. You will also have experience of multi-disciplinary team working and knowledge of local statutory and voluntary agencies. You will also have experience of using electronic database for case management notes and administrative tasks to include monitoring and evaluation.

About the role

This is a great chance to be a part of a service working alongside the Healthcare & Education Department within HMP Bronzefield to identify and support women who are identified as being neurodiverse or presenting with symptoms of neurodiversity and will be returning to the community. The Neurodiversity Lead will focus support on women with a neurodivergent need and improve their transition into the community, with ongoing community support; including collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop their support plans.

The Lead will work in a multi-disciplinary way, including attending the weekly complex case meeting and/or the Safety Intervention Meeting (SIM) as appropriate, they will act as a specialist member of the wider Advance Criminal Justice Service - London team, to facilitate a pathway for women with complex needs including mental health and neurodiversity needs. The Neurodiversity Lead will accept referrals from the Advance Criminal Justice Community team and prison services, and will create a link between prison and the community, helping women to navigate support services and to positively re-integrate into their community upon release. They will co-design a person-centred support and action plan with women accessing support, enabling to support them to address their needs and any risks. The role will combine a casework- based approach, along with a signposting and advice service for the women.

The Neurodiversity Lead will be based in the community and will provide a drop-in service (1-2 day per week) in HMP Bronzefield to support women who are close to release.

A car may be desirable for this role, though not essential

About You

To be successful as the Neurodiversity Lead you will need the below experience and skills:

An excellent understanding of mental health, neurodiversity needs violence against women and girls and its links to women in the criminal justice system

You will have the ability to complete trauma informed, support and action plans in collaboration with the woman; to support in addressing their multiple and individual needs and enable them to engage with services, which will result in timely and prescribed outcomes being achieved.

You will possess excellent organisational skills, excellent communication skills and be able to work in a prison environment whilst remaining calm.

What you’ll do

You will play a key administrative Postgraduate Studies department within the Education and Training Division, supporting the delivery of UCL-accredited postgraduate programmes. Based in a hybrid work environment, you will provide comprehensive administrative support across all stages of the student life cycle - from admissions and enrolment to assessments and graduation. Key responsibilities include maintaining student records, coordinating teaching days and events, liaising with internal and external stakeholders (including UCL), ensuring compliance with regulations, and enhancing the student experience.

What you’ll bring

Essential skills and experience:

• Proven experience in programme or course administration within higher or further education settings;
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities, with a diplomatic and professional approach;
• Ability to work accurately with large volumes of information and manage competing deadlines independently;
• Confident user of Microsoft Office and quick to learn university-specific systems and online teaching tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams);
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively, with a strong commitment to high-quality service and student experience.

Key details

Hours: Part-time job-share (14 hours per week): Wednesday and Thursday, 09:00-17:00. Flexible working is possible.

Salary: £31,366 FTE per annum, plus 6% contributory pension scheme.

Location: Hybrid working (a mixture of onsite and home/remote working). Staff are working onsite for at least 20% of their working hours at our London site (4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH).

Contract type: Fixed-term, 8 months (maternity cover).

Delivery Officer (North)

£32,000-£34,000 (dependent on skills and experience) plus generous benefits

To help us with this important mission, we are looking for a Delivery Officer for our North Region (covering Cheshire FA, Cumberland FA, Durham FA, Lancashire FA, Liverpool FA, Manchester FA, North Riding FA, Northumberland FA and Westmorland FA). As a Delivery Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of capital projects across a defined region – including 3G pitches, pavilions, grass pitch improvements, PlayZones and more. You’ll work closely with applicants and colleagues across the Foundation to help turn project ideas into reality, from early pipeline stages to pre-award. 

You’ll provide first-line support to applicants, coordinate project records, and contribute to grant assessments – ensuring each project meets our standards and supports our strategic aims. What can we offer you? 

The salary band for this role is £32,000 - £34,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.
