Marketing and Communications Officer

We are recruiting a Marketing and Communications Officer to champion and manage the PAPYRUS brand and support the delivery of our projects and services through data-driven campaigns, across email, organic social, and paid digital marketing channels.

What you will do:

Support the day to day running of social media platforms to promote our services, increase brand awareness and drive engagement with our audiences.

Act as the lead for paid social media and web campaigns, working closely with teams across the charity to fulfil individual campaign goals.

Work with different advertising platforms, including Meta, TikTok Ads Manager and Google Ads to promote PAPYRUS services to new audiences.

Produce regular campaign reports using analytical tools to optimise and inform activity on other channels.

Monitor the impact of marketing campaigns to identify and recognise trends within the data to inform future campaigns.

To be successful in this role you will have:

Previous experience of working in marketing and communications;

Proven track record of utilising a data-driven and goal-oriented approach to produce effective multichannel marketing campaigns;

Experience of working with different advertising platforms, including Meta, TikTok Ads Manager and Google Ads;

Experience in audience segmentation to create tailored user journeys;

The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Senior Communications Officer to join their Strategic Partnerships and Communications team in London. Regular travel to these three communities will be required (usually one community visit per week). Travel to team meetings, usually held in Birmingham, and other locations will also be required on occasion.

Who are we looking for?

We require someone with a strong skillset and at least two years’ experience working in a busy communications, public relations or marketing role. Although not essential, knowledge and understanding of homelessness and the charity sector would also be an advantage.

Every year in the UK, around 100 children are diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that mostly affects children under five. Neuroblastoma UK is a small national charity dedicated to finding a cure for this life-threatening disease - and is seeking a talented Senior Communications Officer to help us raise awareness and profile. 

For 40 years, we’ve funded leading research to develop new, more effective and kinder treatments for children with neuroblastoma. You’ll be joining us at an exciting time for the charity as look to fund further research projects to help fight childhood cancer and save more young lives, and build our profile across the national media and social media channels, using the support of our celebrity patrons and families. 

The role

The Senior Communications Officer is responsible for press liaison, pitching in case studies and news stories about our research to the national press, building relationships with our celebrity patrons and families and creating content for our social media channels. A key part of the role is supporting the fundraising campaigns by helping to draft relevant copy for email campaigns and calls-to-action on social media. 

The charity has a small team, so everyone helps with thanking and banking, database management and administrative tasks. And this varied role gives plenty of scope to share creative ideas to develop our portfolio of community activities and challenge events, use your strong communication skills to support fundraisers and apply your excellent organisational skills to track impact and outcomes.

The role currently reports to a committed Board of Trustees, many of whom have a personal connection to the cause.

Summary of the role and key purpose 

We’re looking for a Communications Coordinator to play a key role in supporting, delivering and monitoring RABI's communications and marketing activities. Working as part of RABI's growing communications team, the Communications Coordinator will take an active role in both communications and marketing across the organisation, providing support in areas including internal comms, social media, website development, email marketing, brand usage, advertising, media relations, public affairs, reporting and finance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop content for various RABI communication channels including newsletters, intranet and website.
• Assist the Communications Manager in building and maintaining relationships with media contacts.
• Support with the production of RABI News including collating content, proofreading and managing all mailing lists, both digital and postal.

The Talent Set are delighted to be working with Dementia UK to find their Marketing Communications Planning Manager. 

Dementia UK offer hybrid working between their office location and home, with requirements of working from their office 1-2 days per week. Salary for this role is between £40-45k per year.

The Marketing Communications Planning Manager is responsible for planning and ensuring the delivery of a strategically aligned plan for the Marketing and Communications Team. Collaborating with others, the post holder will ensure the delivery of insight-led campaigns, planned for the right audience, across the right channel, delivering effective content and messages in the most impactful way.

Working with the Marketing and Brand Lead, they will play a key role in setting our communications priorities and planning key organisational communication ‘moments’, such as our brand campaigns and World Alzheimer’s Month. The post holder will manage the delivery of these campaigns, as well as be a central point of contact for colleagues in projects requiring support across our Marketing, Digital and Media Teams.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop channel strategies – working with the Marketing and Brand Lead, plan and execute campaigns, determining which platforms would have the most impact and working with relevant colleagues to adapt assets to suit the channel they’re being used on.

· Manage marketing and planning briefs – for priority projects, be the first point of contact for marketing briefs, refining briefs, advising colleagues on channel strategies and liaising with Marcomms teams to deliver campaigns and content.

· Identifying opportunities for integrated activity – play a key role in aligning marketing communications activity so plans are more cohesive and joined up.

· Manage the organisational communication calendar – work with teams across the charity to agree and implement quarterly external communication priorities, enabling us to be more joined up in our comms planning.

· Manage key brand and marketing campaigns – responsible for leading key brand and marketing campaigns, including; writing key messaging, managing project groups; having oversight of activity and working with channel leads (eg social media, email, design, media) and creative team to deliver the activity.

· Build our bank of insight and research – analyse results from marketing activity, interrogate our brand tracker monthly results, follow the latest trends and monitor what other charities are doing.

· Report on results – gather data on campaign results and create reports to show what worked and what was less effective for different audiences and channels.

· Project management – monitor cost, timescales and resources, assessing and recommending actions where variances from the plan occur.

· Agency management – manage external agencies in delivering campaigns and content.

Person Specification:

· Experience of marketing communications planning and managing integrated marketing, digital and communications campaigns.

· Managing and delivering against budgets and reporting on KPIs.

· Understanding of the needs of internal and external stakeholders, and using audience insight to deliver effective strategies.

· Ability to see the big picture and challenge with both authority and tact.

· Knowledge and use of project management tools and techniques.

· Experience of bringing structure and cohesiveness to competing work plans and comms challenges.

· Demonstrable experience of setting and reporting on evaluation frameworks.

· Experience of developing and implementing new processes and ways of working.

· Experience of leading the planning and delivery of organisational projects in a large organisation with multiple stakeholders.

· Strong experience in working with creative teams to develop and deliver effective content and campaigns.

· Experience of managing external agencies – creative, media, production.

Prospectus is delighted to be working with Your Place on an exciting role, Communications and Supporter Manager (Maternity Cover). Your Place's mission is to build hope and enable lasting change to end homelessness for people in east London. They are a growing charity, helping people who've lost their homes to regain their self-belief and rebuild their lives.

The Communications and Supporter Manager will provide direction and manage the team responsible for brand, communications, events and fundraising through individual giving, legacies and community and corporate partnerships. This role will also directly be responsible for Major Donor relations and income.

This role and its responsibilities are critical in the charity’s growth and delivery of strategic goals through brand development, stakeholder engagement and delivery of some key streams of fundraised income. This role will work closely with the new Head of Fundraising and Communications role which has recently been created, and with their established Trusts Fundraising Manager, to support diversification/growth of income streams.
The successful candidate will have experience of planning and delivering income growth and will have produced communications and/or fundraising plans in the charity sector. You will ideally have brand managerial experience as you will be line managing three members of a high performing team. With an ability to use your knowledge of successful supporter journeys, income generation and communications, this is a great opportunity to make an incredible difference to those who need it most.

This role has a salary of £39520 - £46800 and will be hybrid working from your home and from their office in East London.
