We're looking for an IT Project Manager to join our Data and IT team. The IT Project Manager will oversee the planning, implementation and tracking of assigned IT projects within the charity. You'll be responsible for managing the project team, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and meet quality standards. You'll serve as a liaison between various stakeholders, including clients, internal teams and vendors, to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. You'll also identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.

About the Team

This role sits within the Business Enablement team within Shelter’s Technology & Data (T&D) Department, which is made up of 30+ people based across the country with bases in London, Sheffield, and Edinburgh.

The T&D Department is accountable for developing and leading Shelter’s technology and data strategic priorities, providing a secure infrastructure, management of data and insight to underpin strategic outcomes, delivery of technology change projects, data governance and the provision of support for a range of software, systems, and platform tools.

About You

As the HRIS Manager, you'll be responsible for managing and developing our HRIS system, ensuring it aligns with Shelter's strategic priorities.

You'll collaborate with various teams to ensure our HRIS supports critical business functions effectively.

You will have experience providing and managing a HRIS support function.

You’ll bring significant experience in managing HRIS systems, excellent communication skills, and a passion for driving change.

You will have experience in aligning technology roadmaps with business strategy (PeopleXD experience advantageous).

Citizens UK and the NRPF Partnership

Citizens UK

We are Citizens UK. We’re working together to make change on the issues that matter, from campaigning for zebra crossings on dangerous roads, to reforming the immigration system, to the Living Wage campaign.

We bring together everyday people and local organisations to build a better, fairer society. Too often communities are left out of decisions that affect their lives, but we know everyday people have the ability to shape the world around them. NRPF Partnership

The NRPF partnership was set up in 2023 and is being developed by Citizens UK, Migration Exchange, and Praxis. We are working to build the necessary infrastructure for collaboration across a range of organisations, amplify their work, and build power to win change against the No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) condition. Each partner contributes staff capacity and will work closely with the appointed person to ensure a positive, professional and supportive culture. The Partnership centres around: 

1)  Placing decision-making power and strategic vision in the hands of people doing the work 

(frontline staff and people with lived experience), via a steering group and working groups.

2) Establishing a strategic pooled fund so that the steering group has sufficient budget to guide the collaboration, act, identify and seize political opportunities, and facilitate active participation of everyone involved.

3) Expanding the movement and building power, using incremental wins to build towards broader change towards the goal of ending NRPF.

The Person and the Role

100,000s people in our communities have put down roots in the UK but are denied access to the welfare safety net (No Recourse to Public Funds).

Citizens UK has worked with Migration Exchange and Praxis to raise over £2m to develop a 5 year partnership to enable the movement to end NRPF.

This Senior Project role will be a core part of the support to the steering group of the partnership to make sure it runs effectively and achieves its potential.

We are looking for a values-driven and experienced person with exceptional skills and knowledge in project management, relationship-building, and community organising. This role will lead and coordinate all project management and tactical activities necessary to support the day-to-day functioning of the NRPF Partnership. Our partner, an international charity, seeks an interim finance manager to support the international finance team. The successful candidate will be an all-rounder, with experience in preparing consolidated annual accounts, management accounts, whilst being hands on and taking on transactional elements of the role.

Responsibilities

• Day to day accounting and administration, including posting transactions; payment of suppliers and staff expenses; international bank transfers to overseas country offices; setting up and processing regular giving payments, and processing one off donations; banking; and process monthly payroll.
• Undertake reconciliations of bank and balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including BVA analysis and summaries, and income and expenditure reports for budget holders.
• Prepare the annual consolidated accounts and financial statements, and support in the preparation of the annual audit, liaising with the overseas country offices.

Requirements

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant with all-round experience working in a small team within an international charity. Experience of leading on the production of annual consolidated accounts as per charity SORP in the UK, management accounts & analysis, and managing day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks.

We are working with Pact, who are seeking an experienced Senior Manager (Major Gifts) with a proven track record of success to manage and grow their portfolio of major donors and legacies, to enable them to make a difference to the lives of those affected by criminal justice.

Pact is a successful national charity that provides life changing and lifesaving care for men, women and young people in custody, those with criminal convictions in the community and their children, family members and carers. 

In this newly created role, the Senior Manager (Major Gifts) will provide strong stewardship of existing relationships of mid value and major donors, support and cultivate interest in Pact’s programmes and unrestricted giving and take responsibility for identifying and developing new major gifts from individuals and family trusts. In addition, you will strengthen and develop the legacy strategy and offer to existing and new individual supporter. 

This is a senior, strategic role within Pact and you will have 

• A proven track record and specialism in either legacy or major donor giving, and the autonomy to raise funds from individuals, including HNWIs and to lead on this area within a charity.
• Experience of researching and cultivating individuals including HNWIs and family trusts to secure financial support.
• Strong interpersonal skills, talented at building relationships and trust, and able to inspire long term commitment.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly convey concepts and inspire a wide range of people through written & verbal channels, with the ability to build a case for support.

We are looking for a Major gifts Manager in Scotland for an incredible animal charity, to join a team and secure income from high net worth individuals.

This is a home based role within Scotland, key activity areas are Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen, and travel between these areas will be required.

The Role
Support the Regional Major Gifts Team in delivering the major donor elements of the fundraising strategy to secure c£400k per year.

Manage a portfolio of existing major donors and prospects and ensure a first- class cultivation and stewardship journey.

Attend meetings with existing and new donors, developing bespoke, personalised written communications and proposals, preparing budgets and proposals to accompany approaches.

Be responsible for stewarding existing major donors in Scotland and recruiting new high-net worth supporters, through creative engagement techniques and the development of trusted relationships.

The Candidate

A track record of relationship development and securing gifts from individuals or corporations to meet targets.

Experience of making successful asks through written and/or verbal proposals.

Position Requirements:

• A minimum of five years of related work experience in major gifts fundraising or in the field of marketing and communications, preferably at a non-profit advocacy organisation.
• A proven track record of bringing in major donations of six-figure sums.
• Experience with Salesforce CRM preferred.
• A practical understanding of fundraising, GDPR and charity regulation.
• Knowledge of and proven ability to develop and implement fundraising strategies.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable presenting professionally.

This role is key to Alzheimer’s Society’s ambitions to drive major, and positive, change at a national level particularly across Wales at an exciting time in dementia policy. 
 
The National Influencing Manager will play a central role in ensuring what the Society thinks about the big issues affecting people affected by dementia is acted upon by national decision makers. They will be responsible for delivering national influencing activity primarily in one nation, as well as overseeing officers’ work, but be part of a fluid and flexible team operating across boundaries too. 
 
They will work across the entire National Influencing Team, and closely with the Local Systems Influencing and Policy Teams (that comprise Advocacy and System Change) to ensure our influencing work is highly integrated locally and nationally.
