We are looking for a Reading Project Leader, to deliver some of our reading projects in London, on a part-time, term-time only basis. You will lead a team of volunteers on three projects per week, being present at a community base while your volunteer team visits local families and reads with children,and  reading with families yourself at times.

You will be a resourceful, confident decision maker able to operate independently on the ground to support your team and be able to engage with our community partners and beneficiaries.

THE COMPANY:

Climate Spring is a global organisation dedicated to transforming how the climate crisis is represented in mainstream entertainment. Funded by philanthropic foundations, we work in partnership with creators, production companies, broadcasters and streamers to develop projects with the potential to shift the narrative on climate. 

Our team is made up of people with experience in commissioning, producing and working in development who understand the complexities of the development process, and who work collaboratively to bring the project to life. Our priority is for the projects we support to reach and engage audiences.

THE ROLE:

We are looking for an experienced and creative Development Producer, to provide development support for and oversee development projects on our growing development slate.

The Development producer will help manage the ideas that are submitted to the development fund, prepare and take part in editorial meetings, and build relationships with production companies that are serviced by Climate Spring, and help form new working relationships within the industry.

The development producer will assist the Head of Unscripted in preparing and delivering creative sessions to production companies and stakeholders. They will also help manage our unscripted contacts and prepare for community-building events with unscripted labels and talent.

You have a track record working on or developing unscripted formats a have good eye for commercially viable ideas for broadcasters streamers and online. A knowledge or experience with ad-funded content, whilst not essential, could be helpful.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Project managing funded TV development projects. This involves having regular meetings with production companies, industry bodies and experts.

• Working with the head of unscripted to prepare for editorial and funding meetings.

• Contributing to the editorial decisions made by Climate Spring

• Attending meetings with production companies – remotely and occasionally in person.

• Building relationships with development teams at different production companies

• Working with the head of development and other stakeholders to create new IP with strong climate narratives.

• Managing our submissions slate and funded development slate.

• Preparing materials for brainstorms.

• Assisting in the preparation and execution of events eg: Pitch Competitions, Training days, and social events.

MINIMUM ROLE CRITERIA:

Please Note: It is a requirement for this role for the candidate to be located outside of the M25 and with ability to commute to Manchester.

• Passion for climate and environmental issues

• Min 5 years working in content Production/development. This is not an entry level role, a strong editorial background is required.

• Experience in reading and writing treatments / TV Formats

• Proficiency using digital tools, including Google Office Suite, Zoom, Airtable, etc.

• Experience handling confidential information with tact and sensitivity.

Job Purpose: The Family Outreach worker plays a vital role in supporting the families of clients to enhance their stability, wellbeing, and access to essential services. Purpose of the job 

 In UK Youth’s Impact department, we find, create and use evidence to respond to the needs and preferences of young people and the professionals who support them. The Public Affairs Manager reports to our Head of Policy and Advocacy and will be responsible for planning and delivering our public affairs activity. This includes: 

• Political engagement: meeting MPs and Peers in parliament and building relationships with their teams with a view to identifying potential new supporters 
• Policy and research: working closely with colleagues to share perspectives on which priorities it may be tactical to pursue and to understand what evidence is available to inform engagement.
• Networking: working with public affairs professionals in other organisations to deliver joint programmes of engagement work which leverage respective organisational strengths.
• Monitoring: You will have excellent political instincts and a strong interest in policy developments,
  monitoring closely what is going on in Parliament and in Government,in order to identify opportune moments to maximise political attention and to galvanise support for policy change.
• Communicating: building compelling narratives targeted at different political stakeholders about the impacts of the food system on our diets, our health and our planet, and the need for evidence-based solutions. 
• Developing briefing materials and reports for policy audiences and formulate responses on behalf of the organisation to policy development processes and Parliamentary inquiries.
• Events: ensuring our messages and priorities are noticed and heard by policy-makers in a very crowded policy space, including by working closely with our events manager to deliver impactful parliamentary events.

You will bring a learning mindset to the role, assessing the impact of our policy engagement approaches in order to make continuous improvements.

A week in the job

Meeting with a Peer that is new to our work to brief them on evidence we have published and our current political priorities, completing a political stakeholder mapping exercise for a new campaign on sustainable diets to identify a shortlist of MPs to engage with, spending an afternoon in parliament to engage informally with passing MPs, pitching a new idea for a
parliamentary inquiry to parliamentary staff from the Health and Social Care Committee, drafting an MP briefing for an upcoming debate on the Government’ s obesity prevention priorities, reviewing next week’s parliamentary calendar to spot opportunities for engagement, attending a roundtable to share intelligence and discuss priorities for political party manifestos with other NGOs working on food issues, ringing round parliamentary offices to confirm attendance for
an upcoming parliamentary reception, meeting with an MP that is closely involved with The Food Foundation’s work to refine messaging for an upcoming campaign.

Your experience
You will have a strong knowledge of the UK political landscape and be comfortable and confident in engaging with stakeholders in Whitehall and in Parliament across the political spectrum. Ideally you would also have a knowledge of policy related to the food system, public health or the environmental crisis.

Role Summary

The Resources Coordinator role sits within the learning content creation team, which is responsible for the devising, commissioning and delivering of high quality, film-focused learning opportunities. These include the production of resources and online courses for teachers and their learners which are made available on our website and on our learning platform.

Main Responsibilities:

• Produce high quality, exciting and engaging resources for educators and young people, including commercial resources for film industry clients.
• Contribute to the planning and evaluation of resources within our three key areas of work: Teaching with Film, Careers and Progression, and Filmmaking.

• Develop quality assurance processes and documentation for our resources, training and online programmes.

Prospectus is delighted to be working with an incredible charity that supports disabled children and their families, helping them to recruit for a Senior Finance Officer role.
 
This role is available on a permanent contract and part time basis (21-24 hours a week). The salary range is between £40,000-£45,000 FTE (pro-rata for 21-24 hours a week). This is a hybrid role, where you will attend the charity’s office in Redbridge (on the Essex/London border), with the opportunity to work from home 50% of the week.
 
Within this Senior Finance Officer role, you will oversee all aspects of the charity’s financial operations and support with strategic decision making.
 
This key role involves managing and maintaining all of the charity’s financial systems, including Sage. You will process income and expenditure, complete monthly bank reconciliations, and prepare monthly management accounts, alongside balance sheet, debtor and creditor reports. The role includes monitoring budgets and forecasts, overseeing the annual budgeting process, and supporting budget holders with financial planning. You will prepare financial reports for Senior Management and the Board of Trustees, attend Trustee meetings, and work closely with external auditors on the annual audit and year-end accounts.
 
In addition, you will support the administration and reporting of restricted funds and grants, work collaboratively with the Fundraising and Office Admin teams on payroll, grant reporting and financial analysis, and contribute to the review and improvement of financial processes while helping to reduce financial and compliance risks across the organisation.
 
To be successful in this role, you will either be fully qualified or working towards an AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent finance qualification. You will bring experience from a similar finance role, preferably within the charity or non-profit sector.
 
You will have an understanding of charity finance and experience supporting with financial reporting of externally funded projects and completing monthly payroll processes. You will have a good working knowledge of SORP and charity accounting standards. You will have strong working knowledge of Sage accounting software and Microsoft Excel. You will be confident in analysing and presenting financial data. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to build strong working relationships.
