Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Bid and Funding Officer is a new role for Involve as we seek to build the infrastructure to support the growth that we have experienced in recent years.  This role will sit within our Finance & Support Services function and will work alongside colleagues at all levels in the Innovation & Practice, Capacity Building & Standards and Advocacy & Communications functions to identify and provide compelling proposals in response to fundraising and tender opportunities. 

As Senior Bid and Funding Officer you will be responsible for identifying fundraising opportunities to bring forwards to the team for evaluation and coordinating the submission of returns ensuring high quality tenders are produced that meet the needs of funders and commissioners.  You will support function leads in monitoring fundraising outcomes and comparing to income generation targets, developing a database of funders and improving tender response processes to reduce the administrative burden of tender responses without compromising on quality.

Our ideal candidate will have experience of managing the tender return process in other organisations, either in a commercial or charitable sector environment. You will bring strong project management skills, be able to coordinate tender submissions to set deadlines and have an inquisitive mindset to enjoy researching opportunities and thinking creatively how Involve can meet funder requirements while also advancing our mission.

We work across the UK, with offices in Belfast and London. Many of our staff work from home across the UK or in a hybrid pattern, rather than being based at one of our offices, though we meet up regularly as a team. We are seeking additional experienced Associate Independent Investigating Officers (IO) for Complaints, to increase our capacity to respond to referrals from Local Authorities to provide an independent element to the formal Stage 2 investigations under the Children Act 1989.

The IO will lead investigations, and will give the complainant (who may be a child, young person or adult) the opportunity to express their view, ensure the child or young person’s rights and best interests are at the centre of the investigation and that the investigation/review process is open and transparent. They write a report on the investigation/review, which is submitted to the referring agency.

The Job Description document sets out the expectations for an Associate Independent Person for Complaints (IPC) who is approved by Coram Voice. IPCs are independent, freelance and responsible for their own work. Nevertheless, IPCs are accountable to the organisation for their professional standards and are expected to comply with Coram Voice Code of Ethics and Practice Guidelines.

Citizens Advice Milton Keynes is a local charity that helps people to resolve their legal, money and personal problems. We have been providing free, confidential, and impartial advice since 1972 and helped over 8000 local people last year.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, reliable, and confident person to join our Triage Team. The ideal candidate will provide support to clients via a range of channels, acting as the ‘first contact’ with the organisation for local people. They will conduct triage interviews with clients face to face, via telephone, video call and webchat to understand their problem better and in greater depth, as well as to determine the next steps for supporting them.

Triage and Referral Officers assess and identify the main issues relating to people’s welfare, debt, and housing enquiries, as well as other legal and practical problems. You will not need to be an ‘expert’ in any one subject, but in the time, a successful candidate will need to ‘know a little about a lot’ and full training will be given to them to develop a good foundation knowledge of each advice area.

The ideal candidate will also need to be patient, calm under pressure and possess great communication skills and able to explain information to people from a variety of backgrounds, including those living in the community who could be considered ‘vulnerable adults.

The interim Chief Executive is an executive leader, who co-leads the Belgrade with the Artistic Director, reporting to the Board. They are responsible for driving strategic planning with SLT, programming, advocacy and fund-raising, stakeholder management, and overseeing the finance and operations of the organisation. They are one of the public faces of the Theatre, alongside the Artistic Director.

The interim CEO works in close collaboration with the Artistic Director to:

• curate a high quality artistic programme and support the organisation to deliver the artistic strategy.
• provide effective and inclusive leadership for the staff team, drawing on the collective strength of the SLT in their decision making.

The interim CEO drives the income generation for the Theatre, to achieve the balanced budget, and is chiefly responsible for the Main Stage visiting work programme.

The interim CEO line manages an SLT including a Chief Operations Officer (who in turn oversees finance, HR, production and operations); Director of Audiences and Growth, Director of Producing and Co-Creation and Head of Business Support.

What You Will Do

Leadership & Management​

• In collaboration with the Artistic Director;​
• Provide inspirational leadership and a clear sense of direction to the senior team and wider organisation​
• Drive and oversee SLT in the development and delivery of the Belgrade’s story of change and business plans that support the Vision, Mission and Values of The Belgrade, communicating these internally and externally.​
• Take an inclusive approach to line management of the SLT which fosters a culture of clear timely decision making and communication. ​
• Oversee the SLT to ensure the experience all artists, audiences, visitors receive from the Belgrade is inclusive, informed and enriching; and the building provides a welcoming, safe space.​

Programming ​

• Work closely with the Artistic Director and SLT to curate and deliver a high-quality and relevant programme which balances artistic, financial and operational needs, taking chief responsibility for the visiting work.​
• Develop strategic relationships with a wide range of commercial producers and visiting companies to secure appropriate visiting work and negotiate the deals maximising the benefits of these partnerships for the commercial benefit and artistic reputation of the Belgrade.​
• Support the Artistic Director to shape the artistic strategy and creative direction of the theatre. ​
• In collaboration with the Artistic Director,​
• agree lead productions and secure co-producers​
• Bring in co-productions that enhance the programme.​

Governance​

• Work closely with the Chair and Board of Trustees to ensure best practice in governance, maintaining effective working relationships with all Trustees.​
• Support the implementation of the Board Effectiveness plan.​
• Develop and maintain robust and effective risk management systems with SLT.​
• Work closely with the SLT to ensure full compliance with all legal obligations and statutory requirements, including the preparation of Annual Report and Financial Statements, and annual returns to Companies House and the Charity Commission.​
• Carry out any other tasks that may be allocated by the Board of Trustees.​

  External Relations​

• Nurture excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, partners and supporters, including Arts Council England (ACE) and Coventry City Council (CCC); specifically, leading on NPO applications, and working to meet the objectives of CCC’s Cultural Plans.​
• Continue to develop The Belgrade’s role as a strategic partner and cultural leader locally and regionally.​
• Act as advocate and ambassador for the Belgrade, representing the organisation publicly, seeking out opportunities to raise the profile of the Belgrade. ​
• Lead on the Reporting to Funders, with support of Head of Business Support, and in collaboration with the AD.​

Position Overview: 

At CPI we believe people are at the heart of our success. We are seeking a Grants Officer (Associate)   based in Europe to join our CPI Europe (CPIE) team. Your role is  critical  in ensuring the smooth delivery of the AI Opportunity Fund. Position: Individual Giving Officer
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (compressed or part-time hours considered - minimum of 30 hours per week).
Location: On-site at our purpose-built training centre in the rural countryside of Osgathorpe, Leicestershire. Please note due to our rural location, it is essential that you to have the ability to travel reliably to the training centre.
Direct Reports: Individual Giving Administrator
 
You will be part of the ambitious team raising vital income to enable us to continue our work training assistance dogs for disabled people and be responsible for securing donations from individuals via appeals and our puppy sponsorship scheme; My Amazing Puppy (MAP). A proactive approach is key to ensure that we are maximising all opportunities to increase income and to ensure that our data remains compliant and accurate. You will focus on marketing our individual giving campaigns digitally and physically, stewarding existing relationships and creating new ones, ensuring exceptional donor journeys throughout. You will have the opportunity to lead the creative development of propositions for direct marketing appeals collaborating with wider fundraising colleagues and the communications team, delivering compelling appeals and campaigns to generate income, to work with our beneficiaries and hear about their stories.
 
About you:
 
• Demonstrable experience in appeal or project management to strict deadlines.
• Excellent written communication with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of audiences.
• A successful track record of securing and maintaining income from individuals.

Programme Officer for Europe & Eurasia

About the role:

The Programme Officer will provide programmatic support to a portfolio of Internews Europe’s projects in the Europe & Eurasia (E&E) Region. The role will be part of Internews’ Regional E&E Team and report to the UK-based Regional Programme Manager. The role will support the project teams in the E&E region as they conduct their project activities and ensure effective programme implementation, particularly related to project reporting, work planning, and monitoring, evaluation, research and learning (MERL).

The role will coordinate with diverse international donors to contribute to development opportunities that support E&E media and journalists to safely provide good-quality information. The role supports the design and development of innovative programmes and serves as the point of contact for E&E projects within Internews Europe and for some project donors. The role may also be asked to represent Internews at partner and donor meetings. The role will also contribute to Internews’ knowledge management and improvement of Internews systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the project teams across all programmatic and operational aspects of European-funded grant programmes to implement high-quality projects on time, according to the budget, and to the highest technical standards, and in a way that positions projects within a broader regional or thematic portfolio and contributes to organisational impact
• Monitor progress towards project deliverables and provide guidance to project teams
• Support project openings/start-ups and closeouts
• Advise on project team composition and support with hiring key project personnel
• Guide the project teams on rules and requirements of European donors and Internews’ internal policies and procedures
• Work closely with the E&E Business team on business aspects of project delivery, including budget management and financial tracking
• Review and revise donor narrative reports, workplans, and MERL plans to ensure their high quality
• Review and provide feedback on relevant programmatic and monitoring aspects, including MERL reporting, external project evaluation, and other research and studies
• Solicit, draft, and edit success stories, briefers, and other communications materials for E&E projects in coordination with project teams
• Contribute to or draft scopes of work, programme descriptions, etc. for subgrants or contracts as needed
• Coordinate and contribute to various aspects of proposal development, including research, writing, and editing
• Provide input and support for organisation-wide initiatives as needed
• Travel within the E&E region as necessary
• Represent Internews in official meetings as necessary

Qualifications:

Required:

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• University degree in a related field;
• Familiarity with the E&E region and/or media-related issues

• Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will be able to support Prospect Research in The Open University’s Development Office. Through the identification of potential funding opportunities, this role presents the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students across the UK and internationally, as well as supporting opportunities to advance social and environmental impacts and research. 

Based in the Development Office, the Prospect Research Team’s primary responsibility is to identify and provide research on new sources of philanthropic income for the University. Reporting to the Prospect Research Manager, the post holder will support the team in undertaking high quality, tailored prospect research on major donors, trusts and corporate partners.

You will conduct qualitative research, using diverse resources to compile high-quality reports to inform fundraising approaches, providing key data to support work across the department. Whilst working primarily with the five members of the Partnerships & Philanthropy Team, you will also support work across Mid-Value and Alumni Fundraising. 

Key Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for undertaking high quality research on individuals, corporations and foundations in support of University-wide development activities, using a variety of resources, including charitable, biographical and financial databases, international news, the University library and other sources. This will also include undertaking research to match potential funders to projects, working independently to identify and qualify prospects.
• You will be responsible for collecting, analysing, interpreting and documenting research findings to produce written reports of excellent quality. 
• You will contribute to the understanding of the wider philanthropic funding environment and opportunities across the UK higher education sector. 
• Additionally, you will support the Prospect Research Manager in preparing for strategically important events, through the identification of invitees and compilation of biographies.
• You will undertake due diligence on donors in line with the Development Office’s gift acceptance policy.
• Throughout, you will ensure that database systems are maintained accurately by retrieving, correcting and updating information on individuals, corporations and foundations, in line with GDPR regulations.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Experience of conducting qualitative research using a variety of sources to produce high quality reports.
• The ability to summarise and analyse extensive/complex reports.
• Excellent written communication skills, with a high standard of written English and the ability to effectively present research to a lay audience. 
• A proactive approach and an enquiring mind with an instinct for investigative work.
• A working knowledge of IT, including familiarity with web search engines, plus Microsoft Word and Excel. 
• Superior attention to detail.

Role Purpose
This is a key role to oversee RDA UK’s approach to safeguarding, supporting senior management and working with external partners. This is crucial to maintain good practice, resources, quality and support to RDA Groups which includes driving RDA safeguarding training.

1. To ensure RDA UK has effective safeguarding practices:

• develop and deliver the action plan and ongoing objectives from the British Equestrian Federation (BEF) audit/ Framework Plan and RDA Safeguarding Action Plan

• continuous review of all safeguarding materials and resources, to ensure RDA UK’s Safeguarding policy and statutory obligations and expectations are met, including relevant actions following BEF Safeguarding Action Team (SAT) meetings

• manage requests for guidance from the RDA UK network, including concerns raised and reporting

• provide safeguarding case management, collaborating with the Membership Services Manager.

• work in collaboration with the RDA UK Designated Safeguarding Lead and other relevant RDA UK staff and volunteers to plan, deliver and review projects that improve outcomes for children and adults at risk, within the RDA UK network

• provide advice to the RDA UK team and working groups on safeguarding best practice, policies and requirements, including specific projects or events

• deal promptly with enquiries from RDA Groups concerning policies, procedures and training requirements and respond to feedback received

• maintain the safeguarding content on the ‘MyRDA’ website, ensuring it is current, clear and relevant

• provide guidance to RDA Groups signposting them to resources for disclosure checks

• develop and maintain safeguarding training materials, and coordinate the delivery of regular accredited courses and workshops (both tutor led and e-learning), in conjunction with RDA UK Trainers and relevant external bodies

• developing, maintaining and administering Safeguarding courses and materials

• support the Designated Safeguarding Lead to compile reports for the RDA UK Board, including case management data and analysis, updates and recommendations

• act as the Safeguarding Officer at the RDA National Training Centre, the RDA National Championships and other key events

2. To provide administrative support to the Membership Services Team as required.
