What you'll be doing
We have a grand opportunity for someone looking to grow their charity experience - As our Fundraising Officer, you'll generate income by creating exceptional written applications and reports. To do this, you'll dive into research, keeping tabs on all fundraising opportunities, as well as crafting strong grant proposals, which is a key aspect of this role. You'll also need to bring in new corporate supporters by building new relationships/sponsorships as well as maintaining existing ones.
In this dynamic team, you'll plan costing, and execute various activities for a charity experiencing an invigorating period of expansion. The role encourages autonomy for you to help move the foundation forward, giving you visibility to own it by working with different people within the organisation to help our foundation grow.

Survey Administration: Assist with the design, administration, and analysis of surveys to gather feedback from grantees, staff, and other stakeholders. Monitor and act on grantee feedback, sharing relevant results with key staff.
Research Administration: Schedule and undertake interviews/focus groups, supported by the I&E Manager. Manage administrative activities such as contact with participants, transcription and coding.

We receive no government funding and it is only thanks to the generosity of our supporters that vital life changing, life-saving neurological research can be funded.
We are a well-established charity that has recently launched a new strategy to accelerate the progress and funding of neurological research. This is a new role. The role
Reporting to the Events and Community Fundraising Manager, you will play a key role as part of the Fundraising Team by providing the highest levels of fundraising and event administration support to ensure the provision of seamless, excellent supporter care and assistance to our supporters. Specific fundraising streams will include, but not be limited to, London Marathon, Other Runs and Challenges, Community Fundraising, Special Events and other streams as needed.
Whilst this role is primarily providing administrative and stewardship support for fundraising and event activities, there will be opportunities to be involved with all other aspects of the charity and the development of future fundraising initiatives and events.
The successful candidate will need to be a good team player, able to work independently; flexible; hard working and prepared to play an enthusiastic role in helping to deliver excellent supporter care and increased fundraising income. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities
In this position you will:
· Be a primary contact point for our London Marathon runners to provide excellent customer care and increase fundraising potential
· Answer general public and supporter enquiries that come in by telephone, email, social media and WhatsApp groups and mail in a way that makes them feel important and valued regardless of the nature of their enquiry
· Assist with the processing of all income (cash, cheques, online platform donations) correctly into the Donorfy database, and thank or pass to relevant team members for thanking in a timely manner
· Record as necessary enquiries, correspondence and responses on our Donorfy database
· Be a primary point of contact for our Challenge Event fundraisers. Build excellent relationships with them and provide materials and support, liaising before, during and following their activity/event as needed
· To work with the team to provide support for key fundraising activities such as the London Marathon and other challenge and running events. This will include assisting with event administration, proactively making telephone calls in response to applications for places in London Marathon and to encourage fundraising, answering telephone calls, responding to emails WhatsApp and Facebook messages, thanking participants, sending materials to participants and updating records on Donorfy
· Monitoring Social Media and assisting with providing content for these channels/platforms
· Communications support: this may include contributing content for appeals, website and enewsletters and will include monitoring stewardship schedules and deadlines where needed
· Act as liaison for BRUK’s administration where needed with our fulfilment house and/or other suppliers

We’re looking for someone who has a good working knowledge of database systems and who understands their importance to organisations like Al-Khair Foundation. We seek someone who is naturally process-driven and has a great eye for detail. You will be responsible for specific monthly processes, such as organisation income reconciliation and ongoing data uploads and cleansing for the Fundraising teams. Your Role
Al-Khair Foundation uses Salesforce to manage relationships with our donors, supporters, and stakeholders, including recording all donations made to the organisation. Al-Khair Foundation’s Database Officer will be responsible for the monthly delivery of the income and data reconciliation processes for the Fundraising teams, which includes liaising with a wide range of external agencies and the website to successfully download and query files, update and create new supporter records on the database, process cheques and payment requests, and work closely with the Finance team to ensure all anticipated and banked income tallies correctly.
You will also work closely with colleagues in the Database team to support and maintain regular database processes, data cleansing, and other database-related functions that happen on a monthly or quarterly basis. This may include responding to and being responsible for Support Ticket queries in relation to income, data, and/or the database generally and working with external database agencies such as our web platform partners and Salesforce.
Aside from these core duties, from time to time, you may also carry out general administrative tasks on behalf of the Supporter Engagement team. This may include supporting the Supporter Care Assistant during busy periods with customer care via email and telephone and recording updates, processing invoices, and maintaining and updating team rotas and trackers.
Your Responsibilities

The Opportunity:
We are seeking an Accounts Officer to support our Finance Director in managing the financial operations within the UK office. This pivotal role contributes to our mission by ensuring financial accuracy, adhering to compliance standards, and facilitating effective financial administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily financial operations, including processing transactions, managing payroll, and handling expenses for staff and volunteers.
- Support the month-end financial closing process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Help in preparing and filing VAT returns and managing compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Serve as a contact point for UK banking operations, helping to maintain robust banking relationships and mandates.
- Contribute to the maintenance of financial controls and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Assist in providing financial training and support to BIF staff, promoting understanding of financial policies.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure alignment of financial procedures and support the Finance Director in strategic financial planning.
Competencies and Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in financial operations, preferably within a charity or NGO setting.
- Preferably progressing towards/has recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW)
- Understanding of UK financial regulations and tax laws, with specific knowledge of VAT and GiftAid advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with both finance and non-finance colleagues.

Arts Emergency is looking for an enthusiastic person to join its dynamic Fundraising & Marketing team.
This rewarding role involves focusing on communicating with and nurturing a large network of donors. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fundraising environment and a good grasp of general fundraising principles and best practices in fundraising.
The salary is £30.5k pro rata. It is a part-time (21 hours per week), permanent role. The role can be home or office-based (London or Manchester), or hybrid.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide first-line support for all fundraising enquiries and ensure they are followed up appropriately and in a timely manner
- Ensure the fundraising database and Gift Aid declarations are up to date
- Support the Head of Fundraising in preparing income reports
- Send thank you emails and post packs to donors at all levels, and keep the website up to date with donor recognition
- Coordinate donor relationships and user experiences within Arts Emergency for regular and one-off donors and for community fundraisers
- Conduct detailed, ongoing research into new funding opportunities and prospective supporters
- Support the Finance team with income administration
- With the wider team, design a schedule of innovative donor events and coordinate preparation
- Contribute to donor communications on social media

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The primary focus of this external-facing role is to ensure that Bond’s member organisations are deeply engaged across a wide-range of Bond services and activities.
Using an account management approach, you will thrive on seeking out, building and nurturing relationships with key job roles at every level within our member organisations, offering them regular support and advice on how to get the most out of their membership of Bond.
As the first point of contact for Bond members, you will deliver outstanding customer service with a warm, helpful, and confident demeanour, lead meetings with members to understand their needs and identify engagement opportunities, and introduce members to Bond colleagues when appropriate. A firm grasp of the Member Value Proposition is essential, as is the ability to confidently and enthusiastically speak to all aspects of it when interacting with members.
Working alongside the membership and marketing manager, you will help to develop and implement strategies to retain existing members, using data (in Salesforce, our CRM) to inform and tailor our approach including identifying members with low activity or gaps in engagement. You will gather feedback and intel from members through surveys and other mechanisms so that we better understand how and why they value Bond and to identify potential new initiatives and services they may find useful. One of your responsibilities is member renewals (which is integrated with Salesforce), in which you will work with the Salesforce Adviser to ensure that the process is optimised and efficient. You will also regularly compose member emails and newsletters and contribute to Bond reporting and Board papers.
While the role sits in the Communications and Member Services team, it is integral across the organisation. You will regularly meet and collaborate with colleagues across our policy and advocacy, sector transformation and senior leadership teams to possess a thorough understanding their work and the value-add it provides to members. Likewise, your deep comprehension of what members need from Bond will input into Bond’s strategy and membership offer.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Member engagement and account management
- Create and implement effective strategies to engage members and keep them involved and interested in Bond’s activities and initiatives.
- Build and nurture relationships with key member audiences to better understand their needs and requirements of Bond and clearly articulate the member value proposition.
- Regularly meet members (predominantly online, but also in person) to discuss their membership and engagement opportunities.
- Ensure the contact data we hold on key member contacts is accurate.
- Coordinate the member renewals process including the communications schedule, automated reminders, reviewing fees and raising invoices.
- Work alongside the membership and marketing manager, Director of CMT and colleagues to develop and implement the member retention strategy, audience profiling work and Member Value Proposition.
- Provide regular communications and updates to member contacts using the Campaign Monitor email marketing tool.
- Contribute ideas to the improvement and development of the membership structures and systems.
- Be the first point of contact for membership queries.
Data analysis and insights
- Monitor, analyse and report on membership activity held in our CRM (Salesforce).
- Use data to understand trends and inform member engagement and service delivery.
- Work with colleagues to ensure that engagement information is logged in our CRM in an accurate and timely manner.
- Support the creation and analysis of member insight surveys.
- Work with team members to ensure that data is held in accordance with Bond’s data protection policy.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
- Demonstrable experience in a membership focused role within a membership organisation or network.
- An innate tendency and proven track record in establishing and nurturing relationships with contacts at all levels within an organisation.
- Ability to think creatively in devising strategies to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience of organising and leading meetings with stakeholders.
- Experience of using data to gain customer/stakeholder insight and inform strategic decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, showing a high level of competence when interacting and communicating with different audiences.

BRAC UK is offering a 3 month paid internship this summer in memory of our colleague Helen Turner. This internship will invite the successful candidate into the exciting and fast-paced world of fundraising for a major global NGO, BRAC.
BRAC is a southern-led international development charity with the vision for a world free from all forms of exploitation and discrimination. By partnering with over 100 million people and working across 17 countries BRAC aims to empower people and communities in situations of poverty, illiteracy, disease, social and climate injustice. The interventions aim to achieve large scale transformative change through economic and social programmes enabling people to realise their full potential.
Working mainly alongside the partnerships team, the international development intern will learn about the entire fundraising cycle, from prospecting donors to contracts being signed. The intern will also gain experience of working within the communications and advocacy team, a crucial part of the organisation in raising the profile of BRAC.
