Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning

Support with the creation and delivery of a monthly, insight-led digital engagement and content plan , ensuring it adheres to the strategy, and aligns with MNMUK’s advocacy and campaign objectives and influencing global decision-making.

Manage and optimise channels and content from an agreed strategy, ensuring our messages reach and resonate with priority audiences in key geographies.

Support on all aspects of digital and content for multiplatform global campaigns and engagement moments (e.g. World Malaria Day, UNGA, G7, Davos).

Content Creation & Publishing

With support from senior communications’ colleagues, you will ideate, and produce creative multi-channel content, sometimes supporting the management of agencies, freelancers, and partners to ensure delivery of world-class multiplatform campaigns.

Provide digital, content, and social expertise across MNMUK and its partners, ensuring creatives, scientists, and advocates are amplified through coordinated digital strategies.

Website Management

Support the upkeep and optimisation of the organisation’s website by updating content, uploading blogs, campaign pages, and resources, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with brand guidelines. Flag technical issues to external providers or the Senior Digital Manager as needed.
Qualifications, skills, and experience
Essential

Proven experience in managing social channels including publishing content and engaging with audiences.

About the role
We’re looking for a highly organised, creative, and proactive Events Officer to coordinate and deliver our programme of in-person and online events.
You’ll be the go-to person for making sure everything runs smoothly — from planning and logistics to communication and on-the-day delivery. Working closely with other part-time staff, volunteers, and local event hosts, you’ll play a key role in bringing the BMS community together.

We’re looking for someone who:
- Has at least 5 years’ experience delivering successful events in a charity, membership, or learned society setting.
- Is confident running both in-person and virtual events.
- Brings strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a solutions-focused mindset.
- Is great at building relationships and working with volunteers, working groups and committees.
- Is comfortable working independently from home, while staying connected with a remote team.
- Has experience with event tools, databases and GDPR-compliant data handling.
- Can create professional-looking event materials using Canva (or similar).
- Desirable: a background or interest in natural sciences or mycology would be ideal, but curiosity and enthusiasm are just as valuable.

The Stoll Foundation is the leading provider of housing and support services to vulnerable veterans. Founded in 1916 by theatre impresario Sir Oswald Stoll to house severely disabled WWI veterans, The Stoll Foundation has provided a sanctuary to help veterans rebuild their lives for over one hundred years.
As The Stoll Foundation enters a new chapter, an opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Heritage Project Officer to join our team and oversee the day-to-day delivery of a 2.5-year heritage project. Veterans’ Voices: 100 Years of Housing Heroes is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we have been able to launch an ambitious project exploring the rich history of The Stoll Foundation while engaging our residents through workshops and events and building lasting ties with the local community.
Veterans’ Voices: 100 Years of Housing Heroes
The Heritage Project is a direct response to the sale of our main site, the historic Sir Oswald Stoll Mansions, which will be handed over to our neighbours Chelsea FC in 2027. While residents of the Mansions will move to nearby, higher-quality accommodation in the new build development of King’s Road Park, aspects of our heritage including the Mansions themselves, our on-site archives and the memories and stories of our residents are at risk.
From late 2025 until early 2028, the Heritage Project Officer will deliver a series of workshops, tours, activities, and lectures which celebrate, preserve, and share our rich heritage while engaging and integrating the local veteran and civilian communities in Fulham. Working with partners including the Fulham Society, Hammersmith & Fulham Archives and two volunteer committees, the Heritage Project Officer will also conduct extensive archival and online research to piece together the hidden history and forgotten stories of The Stoll Foundation and our early residents. Additionally, the Officer will lead on the production of key assets including a website section devoted to our heritage and a physical and digital book of the local community’s memories of Stoll Mansions. The project will culminate in a temporary exhibition which the Heritage Project Officer will design and deliver with the support of volunteers and professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruiting and managing two teams of volunteers: a Local Heritage Heroes committee of local community members and a Veteran Heritage Committee of The Stoll Foundation residents.
- Planning and delivering events and activities including workshops, open days, lecture series, committee meetings and field trips.

Community Engagement Officer
This role is a FT maternity cover contract over a 15 month period, 38.75 hours pw with some weekend and evening working included. Overseen by our Head of Fundraising, this role primarily covers running the Shelters events alongside supervising our non animal related Volunteers overseeing the running of our two Charity shops , actively recruiting and managing new corporate sponsors and donors including our Helping Hands offering and attending general networking events.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Community Engagement Officer
Responsible to: Head of Fundraising
Post Objective: Working under the direction of the Head of Fundraising, to take responsibility for any community engagements. This being Corporate led commitments, events and management of Volunteers and the Charity Shops.
Responsibilities :-
- Work effectively as part of the Management team reporting directly to the Head of Fundraising to ensure that the Shelter is run in accordance with the instructions of the Board of Trustees.
- In conjunction with the Head of Fundraising and Fundraising team promote a range of fundraising events and functions on behalf of the shelter throughout the year including regular weekend activities, working closely with and involving other members of the management team, other staff and volunteers. Look after the entire life cycle of each event from initial enquiry/plan to completion.
· In conjunction with the Head of Fundraising and Fundraising team oversee regular Corporate groups attending the shelter, encouraging them to fundraise beforehand and afterwards. Support and lead their CSR day at the shelter.
· Responsible for the acquisition of new corporate partners and the effective stewardship and development of existing corporate relationships to maximise long-term support for the organisation.
· Take the lead on any General Shelter talks within the local community.
· Collaborate with the Education team and support them with workshops where requested and relevant.
· Manage and oversee events on the day of happening, including problem solving, welcoming guests/supporters, directing event set-up, communicating with staff and organizing vendors. Ensure all event equipment such as gazebo’s, tables, chairs, information stand, marketing materials, etc are available and loaded onto vehicles the night before and then unloaded when returned.
- Communicate with other members of the Fundraising team to create effective advertisements for each event, creating paper based items such as posters and information or for the website/Facebook online advertisements for individual events., leaflets and online advertisement.
- Anticipate and plan for different scenarios and where necessary plan multiple events at once.
· Have overall responsibility for the promotion and performance of the onsite and offsite Charity Shops liaising regularly with and managing the Onsite Shop Supervisor and offsite Shop Manager. Ensure that the EPOS system incorporating the Retail Gift Aid process works correctly and captures GA where possible.
· Actively promote and coordinate the collection of items for fundraising recycling, via the individual Charity Shops.
· Coordinate the distribution, collection and careful recording of money spinners , individual money collection tins and food collection bins.
· Pro-actively seek out new collection sites and times, gaining local council licences where necessary and be involved and co-ordinate these. Includes street collections ( Christmas and Race week) via Cheltenham Borough Council, Pets At Home store collections and regular supermarket collections.
· Ensure events are well manned by Volunteers and as much support is given as possible to all activities profiling the Shelter.
· Post and monitor adverts for and then recruit and induct new Volunteers for various non animal related roles as demand dictates within the Shelter.
· Monitor, encourage and support those volunteers in all aspects of daily life within both the Shelter and at all external events.
· Record regular hours of all Volunteers, hold thank you events and organise recognition certificates for long service Volunteers.
· Attend various Networking events to make new contacts and keep up to date with all local and national Volunteering groups and news.
· Promote the Animal Shelter in a positive and pro-active manner by improving systems and methods and provide an exemplary lead to staff.
· Provide excellent customer care when in contact with members of the public, supporters, sponsors ,and other’s presenting a professional image at all times.
· Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the General Manager, Operations Manager or Head of Fundraising

Your role

Summary job description
This role is for a Data Protection Officer (DPO) to ensure Blue Ventures meets its obligations under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the UK Data Protection Act 2018. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer/Chair of the Board of Trustees, the statutory DPO will monitor compliance and data practices internally to ensure the organisation and its functions comply with the applicable requirements under the GDPR/DPA 2018.
