Coeliac UK is looking for an energetic and organised Community and Events Fundraising Manager to lead and grow our community and challenge events fundraising during a maternity cover period.

About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality fundraising experiences that inspire and support individuals and groups to raise vital funds for people affected by coeliac disease. You will manage a varied portfolio of challenge events, including flagship events such as the TCS London Marathon and Great North Run, while developing engaging community fundraising initiatives that maximise income and supporter engagement. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery and development of Coeliac UK’s challenge events portfolio, ensuring excellent supporter experiences and strong income performance.
- Oversee the stewardship journey for community fundraisers and challenge participants, ensuring timely, motivating and supporter-focused communications.
- Develop and grow community fundraising activities, including virtual and mass participation events, supporting individuals, groups and schools to fundraise successfully.
- Work closely with Marketing, Digital, Membership and Volunteering teams to deliver integrated campaigns and supporter journeys.
- Manage event budgets, monitor performance and report on income, expenditure and key KPIs.
- Provide day-to-day guidance and support to the Fundraising Assistant, ensuring high standards of supporter care and administration.

You will ideally have:
- Experience delivering successful challenge or mass participation events within the charity sector.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and deliver excellent supporter stewardship.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Confidence using digital tools and CRM systems to manage supporter journeys and analyse performance.
- A positive, proactive and self-motivated approach, with genuine enthusiasm for Coeliac UK’s mission.

Young Citizens is seeking a Business Development and Special Projects Lead to support a critical year of fundraising, income generation and partnership development. This role supports the special projects work with the CEO and will work with the senior team to lead on the income and visibility opportunities that unlock our delivery for our three-year strategy.
Your Role’s Purpose
Year 1 of this role will be focused on business model development, income generation and strategic partnerships. Working closely with the CEO and senior management team, you will help shape, test and secure new funding and commercial opportunities that position Young Citizens for long-term sustainability and impact. The special projects element includes supporting the developmental design of our future business model, charity strategy and public affairs work.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building, creating and working at pace to achieve great results within a small team. You will be rapidly developing propositions, forging partnerships and converting ideas into credible, funded initiatives. You will play a central role in strengthening our relationships with funders, institutions, corporates and sector partners, while supporting wider organisational development projects.

In Year 1, your primary focus will be to:
- Develop and drive income/fundraising with existing channels, including grant funding, partnerships and commercial activity.

- Produce high-quality business cases, funding bids, proposals and presentations of our work
- Design and execute new funding models and partnership opportunities alongside the CEO’s updated strategic plan

Who We’re Looking For
This role is not just open to traditional fundraisers or partnership managers. As long as you have the seniority and expertise leading results, you might come from a charity, social enterprise, consultancy, policy or start-up background. What matters most is your ability to confidently progress a pipeline of opportunities, build partnerships, generate income and deliver results.
We are interested in a wider pool of candidates with 5+ years in the working world, possibly from other start-ups or programme design focus instead of 'trad' fundraising roles'. Working as part of the Casework Team, the Triage caseworker will be the first point of contact for
beneficiaries seeking support: following the triage process to establish the initial needs; moving
forward the requests; and following up once the casework process has been completed.
This role will involve assessing the needs of the children and family to provide recommendations for
appropriate assistance, including financial assistance for welfare needs, advice, and support to
families in the management of finances, and assessment of child specific needs
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Caseworkers provide support and advice to eligible individuals in line with the policies of the
Naval Children’s Charity. They work closely with other organisations to ensure that children and
families receive appropriate and prompt support.
The role of caseworker is to assess the needs of the children and family and provide
recommendations for appropriate assistance to the Senior Caseworkers and Senior Leadership
Team. This includes financial assistance for welfare needs, advice and support to families in the
management of personal affairs and finances, and assessment of child specific needs.
Caseworkers should be empathetic and non-judgmental.
Caseworkers will receive induction training both in house and externally to include use of the
bespoke CMS (Casework Management System) used by the Armed Forces Charity Sector. The
role is subject to DBS checking. It may require some home visits and travel around the UK.
Triage:
- To act as the first point of contact to the Casework team for beneficiaries, providing a calm, supportive and professional welcome
- To complete an initial assessment of need by triaging telephone calls, emails and applications received through Mosaic, Lightning Reach and other referral routes.
- Contact families who submit an enquiry through the Charity website or via email
- To use active listening and empathetic communication to build trust and ensure beneficiaries feel heard
- Accurately record beneficiary information in the CRM system, ensuring timely, detailed, and confidential case notes
- Identify urgent or emergency requests for support and escalate to a Senior Caseworker for prioritising
- Provide clear information about available support, signposting, or referrals
- Follow up with beneficiaries once casework has been completed to ascertain impact and any unmet need
- Process day to day invoices and pass to the Senior Leadership Team for payment
- Maintain up-to-date understanding and awareness of the Royal Navy

- Investigate beneficiary entitlement to statutory funds, advise of other possible sources of charitable funding and, with the beneficiaries’ consent, refer to other charities to almonise with them to provide a package of care for the beneficiary
- Seek opportunities to encourage other organisations to work proactively with beneficiaries
- Ensure confidential handling of all information concerning beneficiaries in accordance with the Naval Children’s Charity’s confidentiality and data protection policies
- Keep thorough, confidential and systematic records of all matters concerning enquiries, applications, and grant awards in accordance with the Naval Children’s Charity’s data protection policies

We’re looking for a skilled and values-driven Training Manager to design and deliver an accredited development programme supporting ex-service users to progress into Refuge Case Worker roles.
You’ll lead a 3-month accredited training programme followed by 6 months of supported, on-the-job development, with two cohorts each year over a three-year funded period. Managing the programme end-to-end. The training programme will be engaging, directly delivered by you alongside specialist partners. You’ll ensure it is trauma-informed, culturally competent, survivor-led and accredited, combining face-to-face and online learning with structured placements in our refuges.
This role is central to strengthening our workforce, creating safe employment pathways for Black and minoritised women survivors, and building a sustainable, skilled refuge workforce.
