We’re on the hunt for a Programme Manager to join us at this exciting stage of Settle’s development. Over the next few years, we hope to grow the number of young people we are working with and develop new services to support young people with a range of support needs.
The Programme Manager will report to our COO. You’ll be managing a team of Settle Coaches working on the frontline, delivering one-to-one sessions with care-experienced young people across London. You’ll use your skills to ensure that the Settle Programme is the best it can be, coach our frontline teams and ensure high quality delivery is maintained for the young people we work with.
You will work with our COO and wider Programme Management team to deliver and develop our safeguarding practice and ensure that the frontline perspective and young people’s experiences are embedded across the organisation. You’ll manage existing referral partnerships and help develop new partnerships as and when needed, as well as share best practice with the partners you manage. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in strategic projects across the organisation.

This individual will join a successful team and work closely alongside another Philanthropy Manager to steward and cultivate existing supporters as well as manage a pipeline of prospects through their giving journey. You will work directly with the Head of Fundraising and be responsible for your own portfolio of major donors, trusts and family foundations. By August 2027 Bookmark aim to have reached 500,000 children with our literacy programmes, you could be part of that incredible goal.
Job Description
Delivering the Philanthropy plan
- Work with the Head of Fundraising and existing Philanthropy Manager to grow the major donor portfolio within the wider strategy
- Build and maintain a portfolio of existing and new major donors who give or can give £15,000 or more, ensuring a first-class cultivation and stewardship journey
- Line manage the Philanthropy Executive and support their professional development, providing direction, support and guidance
- Work with our Fundraising Research & Administration Intern to identify new potential Bookmark major donors, working with Trustees, senior stakeholders, and our wonderfully supportive Partnerships Board to secure introductions and make asks of prospective supporters
- Design and deliver creative events and activities to generate income, cultivate and steward donors
- Create compelling, relevant and tailored funding proposals, reports and collateral to inspire and inform donors, reflecting Bookmark’s strong brand. The could include Trust and Foundation applications.
- Use Salesforce to manage the accurate recording, progression and forecasting of major donor relationships, enabling efficient reporting and KPI management
Work with the rest of the Fundraising team
- Work closely with the rest of the Fundraising team to ensure opportunities to maximise income for the fundraising team
- Devise and deliver annual plans, together with associated budgets, in line with the charity’s strategic objectives

Essential
- A successful track record in high value fundraising and acquisition, including a proven track record of securing five figure gifts
- Experience working towards and meeting, or exceeding, fundraising targets
- Experience developing relationships with high-net-worth individuals through all stages of the donor cycle
- A demonstrable ability to build internal relationships and use senior stakeholders (CEO, Trustees, Senior Leadership Team) to help progress major donor relationships
- Experience working on successful charity events that meet fundraising targets
- Great verbal communication skills, demonstrated by strong relationships with donors and colleagues. You will have the skills to influence, motivate and persuade people to donate

2025 was a huge year for Scotland, Crisis’ campaign to introduce new laws to prevent homelessness was a success. Scotland now has one of the most progressive homelessness systems in the world. We are now looking for a Fundraising Manager to focus on building and shaping Crisis’s high value income in Scotland in both corporate partnerships and philanthropy. With a strategic focus, you will connect high value partners and supporters our mission in ways that are ethical, person-centred and rooted in dignity and respect for people experiencing homelessness.

The Deputy service manager will join our management team to assist the service manager in the delivery and development of high-quality support to survivors accessing our community-based services in Derby City. In this role you will ensure the smooth running of high-quality service to support survivors of domestic abuse. From breakfast TV sofas to lifestyle titles, online news outlets and specialist press, you’ll help ensure our voice is trusted, respected and heard. You’ll sit within the PR unit of our Media team and work closely with colleagues across fundraising, brand, advocacy and partnerships. You’ll also support the day-to-day running of the press office, contribute to integrated campaigns, and help spot and seize media opportunities as they arise.
Skills and experience
You’ll bring the skills and experience needed to succeed in this role, including:
Essential
• Experience working in a busy press office or PR agency environment
• Proven experience securing high-quality media coverage and increasing brand awareness
• Strong understanding of the UK media landscape, particularly consumer, lifestyle and features media, as well as broadcast and online outlets
• Confidence developing relationships with journalists and pitching stories and ideas effectively
• Excellent written communication skills, with experience producing press releases, media briefings and other materials at pace
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and see media opportunities through from idea to delivery
• Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work openly with colleagues across teams
• Passion for environmental issues and alignment with WWF-UK’s mission
Desirable
• Experience delivering high-profile UK PR campaigns, events or brand and celebrity partnerships
• Experience supporting spokespeople for media interviews
• Experience monitoring and evaluating media activity and impact
• Experience working on a press rota or responding to breaking news
• Degree-level education or equivalent experience

This is a UK based contract, and you are required to have the Right to Work in the UK. Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer sponsorship and any offer of employment will be subject to evidence of your Right to Work in the UK.
This role is hybrid with a minimum 40% of your contracted hours spent at our beautiful UK head office, the Living Planet Centre in Woking, Surrey, where you’ll hot desk among trees and gardens.
