About the role

In order to reach and support more kinship carers with these programmes and our other services, we have developed a new Marketing Team to develop and deliver integrated, strategic and creative marketing and engagement campaigns and strategies.  This team is now established with clear plans to engage kinship carer audiences, rooted in insights.

Key responsibilities include:

• Using data and market insights, develop and oversee the implementation of high-quality, integrated and strategic marketing and engagement strategies to support Kinship’s awareness, understanding, interest, income generation, engagement and growth amongst key audiences, with a particular focus on marketing our programmes and services.

• Develop an expert knowledge of Kinship’s target audiences for marketing its programmes and services to (e.g. kinship carers, local authorities, education sector organisations and professionals) and devise tailored multi-channel marketing activities for different audiences to meet service objectives.

• Ensure that all marketing plans and strategies align with, and support, the organisation’s brand strategy.

• Lead the ongoing development and delivery of a focused schools engagement campaign and activity through key channels to raise awareness of kinship care within education settings to engage with kinship carers currently unknown to Kinship, including those from under-represented groups.  

• Work closely with leads for Kinship’s different programmes and services, and in the Business Development, Digital and Communications teams to ensure marketing communications and engagement with key audiences are aligned.

• Work in collaboration and co-production with kinship carers and their families to ensure meaningful input and representation in the development of relevant plans and activities.

• Drive forward cross-departmental work to further develop the organisation’s email marketing strategic approach.

• Contribute to the development of performance indicators for all marketing activities, using these to adjust campaigns to maximise effectiveness  and provide regular reporting and analysis.

• Line management of a small team.

Essential criteria include:

• Significant experience (5+ years) in marketing, with demonstrable success in delivering integrated strategic marketing and/or engagement strategies which met objectives around engagement and acquisition.

• Experience in a management role, with line management experience, and accustomed to operating with senior-level colleagues.

• Experience of combining marketing and engagement strategies and plans, with experience of stakeholder engagement and management in order to reach a wider audience/consumer/customer.

• Extensive experience of project management and delivering ambitious plans on time, to budget and evaluating outcomes.

• Significant digital marketing experience strategically and operationally with particular experience in maximising digital marketing tools including email marketing systems and paid and organic social.

• Experience using a Content Management System, such as Salesforce and using insights to inform marketing optimisation and planning.

Your role will involve gathering and refining user requirements, supporting system rollouts, and contributing to digital training programmes that equip personnel with the skills to effectively use our platforms.

Responsibilities

· Provide support and assistance to the Project Manager to ensure the successful implementation and operation of digital projects.

· Consult with employees and volunteers to gather, document, and refine requirements for projects, ensuring alignment with operational needs and objectives.

· Attend meetings, conferences, and stakeholder engagements as required to provide updates, gather feedback, and contribute to strategic discussions.

· Develop and maintain training materials, including manuals, eLearning modules, and instructional videos, ensuring they reflect the latest system updates and compliance requirements.

· Schedule and manage training sessions effectively to maximise participant engagement and learning outcomes.

· Deliver training sessions to a diverse audience nationwide using various methodologies such as in-person workshops, webinars, and self-paced online courses.

· Foster a knowledge-sharing community among users to encourage collaboration and problem-solving.

· Undertake any other tasks as required to support the digital projects team and training initiatives.

The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. The Business Engagement team leads the RSPB’s work with the private sector and plays a central role in the charity’s strategy, working with businesses as agents of change. Reporting into the Head of Business Engagement, you will oversee and grow a portfolio of multi-million-pound, strategic corporate partnerships, and ones that have the potential for this, ensuring they deliver both significant income and deep impact for nature. Working closely with the Head of New Business & Impact and the Head of Business Practice & Advocacy, you will deliver on RSPB’s Business Engagement Strategy, which focuses on:

• Investing in nature at scale
• Driving business practice change
• Influencing policy and systems
• Reaching new audiences through customers, employees and B2B engagement

As Head of Partnership Delivery, you will:

• Lead RSPB’s most strategic corporate partnerships, overseeing a portfolio that includes Tesco, Co-op, Cemex and Ella’s Kitchen. These relationships are already delivering conservation impact and income, but there is more potential to unlock.
• Manage and mentor a skilled team of four, with a collaborative, empowering leadership style and people-first approach
• Drive income growth and unlock new value from existing partners – including funding for restoration, nature projects, biodiversity in supply chains, engaging with business customers and employees’ and behaviour change initiatives
• Work across internal teams – including Global Conservation, Country teams, Fair to Nature, Policy & Advocacy, Finance and Communications – to integrate technical expertise and policy influence into our partnerships
• Play an active leadership role across the Business Engagement team and wider RSPB, helping evolve their approach to corporate engagement and championing the role of business in nature recovery

Ideal skills and experience:

In this role you will have the opportunity to manage and develop our community meals projects in your region. Our projects are spaces where volunteers are empowered to run their own community meals using surplus food. You will manage recruit and train local volunteers to be empowered to run these projects. You will liaise with a network of charities, build local relationships and create the most incredible community meals in your area. You will also line manage a Project Support Officer working across London and the South East.

You will be an excellent communicator, with experience of recruiting and managing volunteers. Using strong organisation skills, you will ensure our volunteers are trained, supported and on-message with FoodCycle strategy, and are confident enough to self-organise and make a success of their projects.

You will live within Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey, or London with easy access to these counties (South, West, or North West London). You will be willing and able to travel within the region, and to work some evenings and weekends.

We are looking for an experienced Trust and Corporate Manager - to be known as a High Value Partnerships Manager - to join our small and friendly fundraising team. You will be responsible for driving our strategy for fundraising from Corporate Partnerships and Trusts & Grants, both of which are already well-established income streams with lots of great potential. You will also use your experience to identify, attract and win new partnerships.

Purpose of the role

• Accountable for winning and delivering partnerships with Corporates and Trust & Grants, with support from a Fundraising Officer

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and implementing a strategy for High Value Partnerships. They will be able to demonstrate how they have researched and negotiated partnerships and/or submitted funding applications, providing excellent stewardship and creating meaningful partnerships that lead to long term support and therefore sustainable income.

• Experience of creating and delivering a High Value strategy
• Experience of the full fundraising pipeline, including researching, cultivating and securing multi-year 5 or 6 figure donations from Trusts, Foundations or Corporate Partnerships (experience of both income streams a plus)
• Excellent relationship building skills up to a senior level
• Ability to project manage the delivery of partnerships including impact reporting
• Experience working in a CRM and analysing data to inform decision-making (Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus)
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Able to collaborate with a team of various disciplines or work independently as required
• Enthusiasm for the issues we work on
