We’re looking for a highly organised administrator to support our global and membership activity. With responsibility for organising events, meetings and supporting senior staff, you’ll have initiative, great attention to detail and the ability to juggle a varied workload, often to tight deadlines.

As the Global Administrator, you’ll play a key role in delivering our international strategy, supporting global engagement, and helping our growing global membership community thrive. You’ll work with colleagues across the College and external partners worldwide to ensure smooth delivery of our global events, travel, and partner liaison activities.

• Lead the organisation and coordination of the RCR’s global events and activities.
• Arrange travel, accommodation and logistics for senior staff and elected Officers.

About the role  

It’s an exciting and important time for our charity as we work to help more people out of homelessness and poverty as part of an ambitious strategy. 

The newly created role of Federation Development Lead will sit within the Partnerships and Federation Development directorate, to support the delivery of key charity and federation-wide objectives, as part of our mission to empower people affected by homelessness and poverty to change their lives for the better while using our voice to achieve social change. 

The principal responsibility will be to support our ambition to become a best practice national body, responsible for leading on and supporting the development of key projects within Emmaus UK and the wider federation.

This will include providing leadership to support Emmaus communities across the UK to prepare and respond to the introduction of the Supported Housing (Regulatory Oversight) Act, you will require an understanding and commitment to best practice and legislative requirements related to the provision of supported housing, with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into user friendly support, training, guidance and policies and procedures

The role will also provide a critical role in the implementation and delivery of Emmaus UK’s ambitious plans to seek registration as a provider of social housing. You will provide the project management and technical skills required to support the successful delivery of the application process, ensuring that risk and regulatory requirements are considered and acted upon at each stage, maintaining strong communication with key stakeholders externally and across the federation.

As the Federation Development Lead, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth and development of the Emmaus movement within the UK, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, and supporting the overall success of the federation. Your role will involve supporting the development and delivery of strategic plans, programme design and implementation, stakeholder management, and continuous evaluation and improvement of developed initiatives.

Working with the Director of Partnerships and Federation Development and wider Senior Leadership Team, the role will be central to the delivery of strategic objectives related to the development of the movement.

Carer Wellbeing Workers provide invaluable services to help improve carers’ resilience and ensure they are supported to maintain their caring roles. Reporting to the Senior Supporter Care Manager, you will deliver excellent customer care to supporters and potential supporters of Operation Smile UK. As an integral part of the Supporter Care team, you will successfully support the Individual Giving programme and wider fundraising activities, providing support to ever-increasing income and supporter stewardship for the delivery of increasing levels of unrestricted income for Operation Smile UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for existing supporters and new supporters who respond to our fundraising activities by phone, email, letter or in person, letter, or email delivering outstanding supporter care
• Liaise with supporters in timely communication via email, phone, and mail, with excellent customer care
• Prioritise answering incoming phone calls and escalate any difficult situations/complaints to the Senior Supporter Care Manager
• Support processing incoming phone and postal donations
• Assist with banking and processing incoming/outgoing post
• Be responsible for thanking our supporters, including by letter, email and phone, dispatch of information and fundraising materials
• Enter and maintain accurate records on our Database
• Maintain and assist with all types of donation processing, administration and Database record amendments/records being kept up to date. This will include Gift Aid status and contact consent requests
• Assist with cancelling and amending all types of regular gifts and sending out appropriate letters
• Manage the removal process and consent process
• Assist with sending out problem payment letters
• Following up cancelled regular payments as part of the winback process
• Assist with handling material requests and recording actions on the Database
• Assist with any third-party agency supporter care requests

Do you want to join an organisation committed to addressing low literacy levels amongst people in prison?

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led learning programmes across a number of prisons. To ensure the continuation of our programmes during times of staff absence, we are now seeking to recruit a Prison Facilitator on a bank working basis to work across the west midlands region who is able to travel to cover sites in the wider area too. Working closely with prisons and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will support with the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programme in the Central region, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships quickly and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. You will also have a willingness to travel, sometimes at short notice, to provide short or long term cover within the region including possible overnight stays.

This role will be prison-based. This is a bank role and so the number of days to be worked will vary and are not guaranteed. About the role

The Senior Adviser post is a new role to increase capacity within our small and friendly Advice and Information Team. The Senior Adviser will be responsible for delivering high quality, evidence-based, advice and information by email and phone to Coram BAAF members. Our enquirers are primarily social workers at all levels including senior managers, along with associated professionals in health, legal and other areas of children’s social care.

The role will also support our Outbound Permanence Service which provides specialist advice and resources for local authorities across the UK seeking to place a looked after child with relatives overseas, and also offers training and consultancy. The post holder will, once familiar, have the opportunity to participate in Outbound training delivery.

We envisage this as a 4 day per week role, but are open to considering additional flexibility within the constraints of our core service hours (see full job description).

This role may suit you if you have considerable experience in childcare social work, in one or more of adoption, kinship, or foster care, together with experience in advising fellow professionals. You will have a clear understanding of the key principles involved in providing accurate, evidence-based advice and information.

You may have experience of working for a similar national helpline or advice, though this is not essential. You should have good knowledge of relevant regulations, guidance, minimum standards, and published good practice, along with the ability to research and translate complex information into accurate, clear, evidence-based, and practical advice.

Although we have an extensive database and internal Consultants to draw upon, the ability to present this information as a concise, logical summary tailored to each individual query is essential.

North Wales Community Law is a charity established in 2023 that provides free legal advice to people in North Wales. We have a small team of caseworkers and we want to grow our team to enable us to support more people. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to contribute to our vision to make sure that everyone in North Wales has access to the services and expertise they need to uphold their rights, fight inequality and challenge injustice.

We are looking for a solicitor or experienced caseworker to provide specialist housing or family law casework and advice under the supervision of our Legal Services Director. Based in our offices in Llandudno Junction, the role will involve regular travel to community based outreach clinics in North Wales, particularly Gwynedd and Ynys Mon.

We are particularly keen to hear from people with experience of relevant Welsh housing legislation and qualified solicitors with experience of legally aided civil litigation.

Duties

• To provide legal advice and casework assistance and give appropriate advice and support to clients, managing your own caseload and making applications for public funding as required.
• To liaise with landlords’ and other parties’ representatives, solicitors, other agencies and groups as required.
• To ensure that all casework, advice, and assistance complies with the requirements of the organisation’s processes, accreditations and, where publicly funded, complies with the requirements of the Legal Aid Agency.
• To collate evidence and work in partnership with other advice providers locally and regionally to influence the development of policy and legislation in relation to housing and domestic abuse.
• To undertake outreach work, including liaising with local communities, delivering talks and presentations to groups, and visiting community settings as appropriate. Work from various locations as reasonably required.
• To inform and participate in our public legal education work, to promote North Wales Community Law and a rights-respecting culture in north Wales.
• To actively engage with local community groups and organisations, bringing together our experience, skills and knowledge with that of others, sharing learning wherever possible.
• To prepare reports on your own work for the information of the Trustee Board, funders and other stakeholders, as required.
• To actively contribute to internal meetings, including cascading learning.

• Experience of delivering housing or family law advice and complex casework - advising and supporting clients through the legal system
• Ability to manage a busy caseload, working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
• Experience of legal aid processes, meeting financial targets and time recording requirements using case management systems.
• Good organisational, prioritising and time management skills.
• Experience of team and multi-agency working.
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills including ability to communicate effectively with the organisation’s client group.
