Job description

Exeter Community Initiatives is a dynamic local charity supporting disadvantaged people in Exeter and beyond. We are looking for a new member of our team to develop and implement a fundraising strategy for ECI to increase income and support for the charity to support current and future projects. The successful candidate will have significant experience of raising funding from trusts and foundations. We would be pleased to receive applications from people who would like more flexible working arrangements.

The priorities for the role in the coming year are to secure funding to grow and develop our work with adults with complex lives to engage in creative and meaningful activities in response to increased demand, and to begin work ensure the sustainability of our children and families services. This will involve submitting regular funding applications and supporting service managers develop business plans for their area of work.

The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for the line-management of the Community Fundraising Co-ordinator. This is a new role to increase individual and corporate giving, through campaigns, events, charity partnerships and regular donations.

The post-holder will play a leading role helping shape a dynamic ‘Development Team’ involving with the Development Manager, Service Project Managers, and the newly appointed Community Fundraising Coordinator and Communications Officer.
