About the role:

When a family member has a spinal cord injury, it can be difficult to acknowledge and accept that their injury will affect you too.

You might find it difficult to express and share how you have been affected by these events, especially to your loved one with the injury. Overwhelming feelings of guilt, helplessness, confusion and isolation are very common. 

Back Up’s Family Support team are there to help. Right from the point of injury, our Family Support Coordinators work together with the family and the injured person to create their own ‘Family Plan’ - making sure they have access to information and support throughout the rehabilitation journey.

As a Family Support Coordinator, you will build relationships with professionals to encourage referrals and manage a caseload. Whether it be meeting family members in a clinical setting, providing a listening ear from someone who ‘just gets it!’, or making referrals for ongoing support from a range of partners or statutory agencies – you will be passionate about being able to demonstrate the impact of what we do, and will see for yourself how Back Up quite literally transforms lives.

About the role

Young Adult Carers Service Coordinator

Carers’ Hub works to improve carers’ lives in Lambeth through quality services and community engagement. We are an independent local charity, who work with carers aged five upwards. Whether financial, educational or otherwise, they seek to limit the challenges that carers face and achieve this by improving carer’s wellbeing, connecting carers to support and training opportunities, awareness raising and influencing local policy. We are now recruiting for a Young Adult Carers Service Coordinator to join our team.

As the Young Adult Carers Service Coordinator you will: 

• Deliver an engaging, accessible range of workshops, social activities and one to one support for our young adult carers, working to targets and ensuring timely and accurate reporting to funders.

• Support the wider young carers service by being a first point of contact for telephone and email enquiries. 

• Develop external relationships and communications in a way that promotes the welfare of carers in Lambeth and enhances the image of the organisation.

The YWF Youth Voice Coordinator Role

This role offers an exciting opportunity to coordinate and lead YWF’s revamped youth engagement initiatives. Collaborating closely with our Youth Voice Consultant and the entire team, you will bring passion, creativity, professionalism and ambition to implement our youth voice plans. These plans are informed by a recent review and are supported by a theory of change.  Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in amplifying this work and the voices of young people involved with YWF through our social media platforms.

This position also provides avenues for professional growth and development. By directly overseeing interns engaged in YWF activities, you will gain valuable experience in staff development and play a crucial role in nurturing the next generation of youth leaders! Youth Outreach and Recruitment

Internship Oversight

• Support and coordinate YWF  interns - providing guidance, mentorship and direction to ensure effective program implementation - working to integrate and support interns within different areas of the team.

Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration

• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including young people, members, staff, volunteers and partner organisations to share best practices, support collaboration and drive forward impactful strategies.

Project Management

The Role

Coordinating and building capacity for coastal communities to protect their marine environment.

This is a rare opportunity to join our dynamic, impactful international team, which is working to protect our global ocean and the people and biodiversity dependent upon it. The Coordinator will lead an innovative multi-year programme supported by the EU to train, equip, and empower small-scale fishing communities. The programme will help to protect fish stocks and marine biodiversity from illegal, unsustainable fishing in 15 countries across the Global South.

The programme will include the rollout of a ‘Global Toolkit’ that gives fishing communities innovative, practical equipment, training, and support to help end illegal fishing. Capacity building will include using EJF’s DASE app, which enables fishers to document and report illegal fishing. This app will be accompanied by insightful practical guidance to strengthen local governance and advocacy to protect inshore waters relied upon by coastal communities.

Supported by two regional coordinators and drawing on EJF’s decades of experience in activist training and field programmes in West Africa and Asia, the role will oversee the Toolkit’s introduction to at least 15 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Pacific.

The programme seeks someone who is a superb, experienced coordinator and manager, able to give remote support and guidance to multiple local teams overseas and track and monitor the programme’s implementation and the Toolkit’s effectiveness against agreed KPIs. The role will involve some travel to kickstart projects, assess and evaluate implementation over time and propose adjustments and further iterations of the Toolkit according to feedback and shared learning. We seek a proactive, creative and determined problem solver who will capitalise on new opportunities and ensure we exceed expectations.

Building strong, trusted and proactive relationships at the grassroots level and facilitating partnerships and information-sharing with national and community-based civil society groups in each country will be essential. The role requires a natural diplomat, able to lead discussions with government officials at the local and national level. The Coordinator will lead the grant, reporting to the EU as the funder and other major stakeholders, including national governments.

As the global lead, the Coordinator will be a superb, confident and inspiring communicator, in writing and person, able to give visibility to the programme's beneficiaries and partners and its impacts. The role will work closely with EJF’s film and comms teams, devising outputs including events at grassroots and national levels that will be effective and influential at reaching their target audiences, sharing success stories and inspiring additional uptake and support.

As Fundraising Executive, you will be responsible for ensuring our supporters receive a positive and rewarding experience, as well as providing administration support for the fundraising team, including assisting on events and campaigns.

We are looking for a motivated, confident individual with strong organisational skills and an impeccable attention to detail, who is passionate about fundraising and our ambition and purpose. The successful applicant will be expected to have a broad understanding of a range of income generation methods and communication styles, and the charity sector.

You will play a key role in attracting, building and managing relationships with a range of supporters including individual donors and fundraisers, community groups, local businesses, and volunteers. From initial enquiries to fundraisers and doners, to taking responsibility for our thanking, you will look after our complete supporter care journey and ensure that the Foundation provides an exceptional experience for our supporters.

You will develop key relationships within the Foundation and Club, providing support to the rest of the Fundraising and Engagement Team as required. Some weekend and evening working will be required as part of the role. Previous experience is desirable, not essential, and the right candidate will be given scope for career progression and additional responsibilities as we grow. 

Key responsibilities 

• Act as main point of contact for supporters and donors, responding to enquiries in a timely manner
• Provide fundraising support to those raising money for the Foundation, including challenge event participants, schools, clubs, and community fundraisers
• Assist in the delivery of matchday activity for the Foundation, primarily through our 50/50 Raffle and other activations that raise funds and awareness of our purpose
• Support the Events Manager and Head of Fundraising and Engagement in the delivery of Foundation events
• Support our growing portfolio of challenge events, researching opportunities for the Foundation supporters to raise funds, and delivering exceptional supporter care to ensure we maximise these opportunities and build relationships with our fundraisers
• Assist the Head of Fundraising and Engagement in the development and delivery of a community fundraising programme
• Maintain and update donor records on our fundraising database
• Manage the administration and fulfilment of auction and other fundraising prizes, being the main point of contact for donors and relevant partners and ambassadors
• Cultivate and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, including but not limited to Harlequin FC, their partners and sponsors, regular individual givers and high-net worth donors, community fundraisers, local schools and clubs
• Represent the Foundation both internally and externally, acting as an ambassador for the Foundation and advocating for our work

Qualification and experience

• Educated to degree level or demonstrable equivalent experience
• A minimum of two years’ experience in a professional environment in a similar, admin or events-based role
• Excellent user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience of CRM systems and project management tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to evidence experience of building excellent relationships and a confidence in networking and proactively communication with a range of stakeholders
• Experience of working with data and administrative tasks Desirable
• Experience of working in a similar fundraising executive/supporter care role (desirable)
• Experience of working with high-net-worth individuals or celebrities would be an advantage

This role will play a crucial role in the success of our technology projects, ensuring all projects are effectively scoped, estimated, planned, communicated and managed. In order to achieve this, the post-holder will own the project standards that others will have to deliver to. 

In addition to working closely with teams across the business, you will also have the opportunity to work with third-party suppliers to ensure that they are meeting the aims of the project.

What you’ll do: 

• Ensure key stakeholders prepare business cases for investment in technology and software to agreed standards, advising them on process and changes or additions to business cases. 
• In collaboration with the business lead, manage the development and delivery of technology projects, ensuring that it meets RCR’s required standards and supporting successful implementation.
• Ensure plans, risks and finances associated with project delivery are tracked as required and made visible for governance and portfolio management purposes. 
• Use feedback and research to recommend improvements to RCR’s IT project management processes, implementing agreed changes.
• Support the Head of IT in the day-to-day management of invoices and of the IT budget, ensuring that spend is accounted for and managed according to RCR’s guidelines.
• Manage, administer and schedule regular board meetings.  Follow up actions agreed in the board meeting, in partnership with the Head of IT.

• Effective interpersonal skills, including ability to provide support and guidance to colleagues across the RCR to both business and technical teams.

We’re a small charity with a global reach and an important purpose: to reduce the burden of pulmonary vascular disease (PVD) - a serious condition that can lead to heart damage and trigger symptoms like breathlessness, chest pain, fatigue, poor growth, fainting, and light-headedness. PVD can reduce both quality of life and length of life, but it isn’t widely recognised or well-understood.

Our aim is to improve clinical care, education, and PVD research. To do this, we bring together an international network of thousands of clinicians, scientists, academics, and industry partners supported by our small team based in Bermondsey, London. Together, we deliver conferences, e-learning, and an academic journal, raise awareness of PVD, and encourage collaboration in research.

We are seeking a Marketing Officer to help grow and service the charity's international membership, increase the value of our membership offer, increase our income, and deliver our e-learning programmes. You’ll help ensure our members are informed about the latest developments and learning opportunities, and they’re valued for their contributions to the PVRI. No two days are the same. One day, you might be writing content for our website and social media channels, and the next, you might be welcoming respected speakers and attendees from over 30 countries to our scientific webinar.

We are looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail. You’ll need to create successful marketing plans and grow our membership. You will also bring excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate high-quality webinars.

With a focus on removing barriers and reducing stigma surrounding seeking support, our strategy empowers individuals, communities, and faith leaders.

We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to join our team and lead the implementation of 'Your Voice Matters.' Collaborating closely with our Director of Support Services and fellow Betknowmore colleagues, you will oversee the delivery of workshops, facilitate focus groups, and participate in community engagement events. Supported by our partnership with The Faiths Forum for London, you will play a pivotal role in fostering relationships within the Black community to maximize the project's impact over the next two years.

This position is primarily home-based, with regular travel across Greater London as required. The role is full-time, offering a competitive salary between £33,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include a pension scheme and generous work/life balance. This is a fixed-term appointment for a period of two years, subject to satisfactory role performance.

Fundraising Assistant

Contract: Permanent, part-time (21 hours per week)
