About the role
This is a new role, and offers an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and highly ambitious fundraising team, enabling you to build your knowledge and expertise across a range of income streams. This will include working across trusts and foundations, corporate partners, and major donors.
As Philanthropy and Partnerships Fundraiser, you will play an integral role in the Philanthropy and Partnerships Team, ensuring we reach our ambitious fundraising target. You will provide support to the team by undertaking thorough research, prospecting into new funding opportunities, coordinating, and managing our Small Trusts Programme, our Small Corporate Partner Programme, and The Polaris Club, the charity’s giving club.
As this is a new role, there will be the opportunity to support the team across all tasks as needed, and therefore the role may develop and grow with time and experience.

Job Profile
Your role will be to research and monitor a pipeline of prospects, and work with the team to update and steward current donors, also identify and research new prospects and community and corporate partners. You will also carry out research to support fundraisers to make informed decisions to engage, cultivate, and solicit gifts from prospects and peer to peer networks.

Main purpose and scope of Role

Main Responsibilities
As one of our regionally dispersed Community Fundraiser's, you'll be joining a busy team, where you will manage relationships with our key supporters with the primary purpose of generating income across a geographical area, through community fundraising activities. The Role
Reporting to the Supporter Acquisition and New Product Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving innovation within our fundraising initiatives. You will be working with wider teams to help identify new products for our portfolio and to ensure that our products and offers are integrated.

About You:
With your proven experience of philanthropy fundraising, you’ll have personally secured 5 figure + gifts from a major donor. You’ll have project management skills to enable you to devise donor engagement plans and work with senior volunteers and trustees to develop funding proposals and identify opportunities.

- Identify potential prospects, working alongside the Prospect Researcher, Senior Management colleagues and Trustees to continue to identify new prospects to grow the pipeline.
- Build, manage and maintain a portfolio of donors from £5,000 gifts upwards, stewarding relationships to ensure donor satisfaction and long-term financial commitment, including detailed and timely reporting as well as engagement with senior stakeholders within St John.

The Corporate Partnerships Manager for our Fundraising team will focus and lead on:
- Managing your own portfolio of corporate partnerships
