Pratham is one of the largest and most respected education charities in India. We developed a model that can teach a child to read and do basic maths in as little as 30 days for £14. We also have preschool, vocational and women's education programmes. 

We have strong support from the UK Indian diaspora and are in a period of significant growth that has seen us triple in size in three years; we now raise £1.5m a year and have an ambition to at least triple again. Our flagship fundraising event is our annual Gala; we will return to Raffles at the Old War Office this year on 8th November. The gala sponsorship pack is included with the job pack below. The evening consistently raises over £500k; this year, you will support the delivery of the Gala, but next year, you will lead it along with a calendar of cultivation and stewardship events that will help us grow partnerships with major donors, corporates and foundations.

While you will work in a small, fully remote team day to day, you will be part of the global Pratham network. The team in India has over 6,000 staff, and they raise $28m locally. Pratham USA has 14 chapters and produces around 12 galas a year, which contributes to its $30m income; you can share the films and branding of their galas, meaning we can really stretch our budget to put on an outstanding event. 

We are a small team, and whilst an events person is vital for our development if someone wanted to get involved in other fundraising streams, particularly corporate or major donors, we would be delighted to read about it in your application and discuss it at the interview or in a call before the interview—which are welcomed.

All current staff have visited India to see the programmes, and whilst we can't guarantee you a visit as we grow, it remains an ambition. We can offer a level of flexibility on hours, we'd consider someone four days a week, but flexibility and some extra (paid) days might be required around the gala time. Our Executive Director stops for 30 minutes at 3 to pick up his children from school, work patterns that suit you can be considered.

The Partnerships Manager will manage a portfolio of commercial and fundraising accounts totalling c.£250k, as well as some new business development. The portfolio includes a £60k per annum CRM relationship with Plum & Ashby, focused around the Wave of Light candle campaign for Baby Loss Awareness week, with lots of influencer and comms engagement. The new business element will support the Senior Partnerships Manager and the Head of Corporate in their new strategy for increased brand, strategic and coty partnerships.

Key responsibilities:

• Account manage and build strong relationships with corporate partners at a 5-figure+ level
• Create and deliver high quality account management and stewardship plans for your accounts

Arts Emergency is looking for an enthusiastic person to join its dynamic Fundraising & Marketing team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide first-line support for all fundraising enquiries and ensure they are followed up appropriately and in a timely manner

• Send thank you emails and post packs to donors at all levels, and keep the website up to date with donor recognition
• Coordinate donor relationships and user experiences within Arts Emergency for regular and one-off donors and for community fundraisers
• Conduct detailed, ongoing research into new funding opportunities and prospective supporters
• Support the Finance team with income administration
• With the wider team, design a schedule of innovative donor events and coordinate preparation
• Contribute to donor communications on social media

Your key responsibilities include:

- Research and pursue high-value donor fundraising work in assigned new target areas (both in the UK and overseas territories within their global fundraising programme, such as Australia) to expand the programme’s reach and impact.
- Manage the development and delivery of their fundraising events.
- Work with colleagues to ensure required PR and communications activities concerning major donors funding are developed and delivered.

Programme support and administration

- Take responsibility for the high-value donor and corporate fundraising budgets and contribute to target setting, monitoring, and analysis of the programme.
- Provide regular reports and information on progress, targets and income generated.

Job Description

Partnerships management:

1. NURTURE RELATIONSHIPS WITH OUR PARTNERS: Manage and foster excellent relationships with our long-term partners supporting our conservation work in Indonesian Borneo, including NGOs, zoos, corporates and other organisations; extend thanks and provide resources and advice to support them with their activities.

2. SHOUT ABOUT CLIMATE CONSERVATION: Report progress on our conservation work in Indonesian Borneo to long-term partners by drafting high-quality reports in close collaboration and support to our Grants Officer.
Fundraising:

3. SECURE FUNDING TO DO GOOD: Support the development and expansion of BNF International’s fundraising activities by identifying and securing new opportunities and
partnerships, participating in the BNF Global Outreach Team working groups and supporting the Marketing and Fundraising Manager.

4.FUNDRAISE FOR OUR 1 MILLION TREES CAMPAIGN: develop opportunities for the BNF 1 Million Trees Campaign and further reforestation campaigns by identifying dedicated habitat restoration and tree-planting donors globally; introducing our project and establishing partnerships, bringing directors into the conversation as necessary, and managing relationships with donors in the long term.

5. COLLABORATE: Identify and follow-up on new fundraising opportunities which BNF can set up or take part in to widen our reach and encourage members of the public to support or fundraise for BNF, for example by way of BNF-led challenges, charity places in sponsored events, online fundraising and other means of raising funds and awareness.

6.REPRESENT US: Occasionally attend external events to support partnership development and individual giving fundraising.

General:

7.Provide general support across the BNF International organisation and wider BNF family, to all staff and volunteers, to help ensure the efficient, effective and successful running of our activities; and to provide advice and insight to enhance the effectiveness and impact of BNF International.

We are looking for an experienced Fundraiser who can transform the way we inspire, engage, and support our vibrant community and corporate supporters. You’ll be able to build rapport quickly, be proactive in seeking new opportunities to fundraise and be able to bring in the systems and processes that will set us up for growth.

You’ll have some experience in digital fundraising, helping Vista steward more supporters online.

You will be required to work 37 hours per week flexibly Monday – Friday. There may be a requirement for some evening/weekend work due to the nature of the role. This is a hybrid-based role.

The Role

By joining MedEquip4Kids in this capacity you will play an important role within the charity and duties will include:

• Maximising the charity’s income through the development of the corporate, trust and community fundraising portfolio.
• Developing a pipeline of new prospects and relationships (including one off donations, corporate partnerships and event participation).
• Researching, completing and submitting corporate trust applications.
• Providing positive leadership to volunteers and corporate donors ensuring effective stewardship and stakeholder engagement.

The role is varied and interesting and provides an opportunity for you enlist support to raise funds that will have a real impact on the lives of babies and children across the UK.

The Person

To be considered for this role you should come to us with experience of managing relationships and of working towards income targets. You should be a strong and confident communicator with the ability to build relationships with new contacts and develop existing relationships to maximise engagement. You should also have good written communication skills and the knowledge and ability to write compelling cases for support to obtain funds for the charity. We would welcome someone who has significant fundraising experience, but also those with awareness and interest in this area with the transferable skills to make a success of this rewarding career! Most importantly you should be passionate about the incredible work of this charity and be a positive addition to team that will further enable the organisation to achieve its mission and demonstrate its values.

You will lead 2 Business Development Managers directly to deliver a 6-figure team new business target across the country. You will also support the upskilling and support of our Area Fundraising Managers in their local new business endeavours. You will ensure a solid strategy, creative prospecting plan and pipeline management to achieve our agreed targets as well as have your own personal pipeline. You will also support the team in liaising with our national Corporate Partnership team, Marketing teams and more to ensure the team have everything they need to identify, prospect, win and report on new business.
