About You

We are looking for someone who is proactive and highly organised, with great communication skills that can build relationships with all key stakeholders, both internal and external. Ensuring that all staff are trained, supported and motivated to deliver a consistent, effective and high quality service to the organisation. 

This role is suited to an experienced HR Manager who: 

• Has strong knowledge of HR processes, policies and procedures as well as employment laws, regulations & best practices. 

• Can create fair and consistent HR Policies and procedures, regularly conduct audits to identify areas of non-compliance and ensure accurate records are maintained. 

• Can lead operational planning and budgeting. 

• Has a forward thinking and inspirational vision for the role of HR in a charitable organisation. 

• Has a vision for how working practices and culture can develop for the better.

• Has a proven commitment to the principles and practices of access in the workplace and have excellent knowledge of current issues in of EDI and can implement EDI principles and policies. 

• Is able to successfully balance the needs of the individual (compassion) with the operational and ambitious needs of the organisation. 

• Has experience of supporting and developing managers through change. 

• Is CIPD qualified.

Our Location

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home, you will be required to attend the Hatfield office once a week and monthly directorate meetings. In addition, the charity meets four times annually at its office in Hatfield (or a location in London) for its’ ‘All Staff Together’ days, at which attendance is mandatory.

Purpose of the role

To deliver and develop the Day One Casework bedside model to patients, or those closest to them, impacted by serious or multiple injuries which could result in life changing consequences, such as disability or death, predominantly within Northern General Hospital, Sheffield but also in other hospital settings or Trusts as required. 

To have a visible physical presence within the Trust and become embedded into clinical teams focussing on the major trauma pathways.

To work closely with those impacted by catastrophic injury, taking referrals and carrying out initial assessments of need, expertly navigating, signposting and putting services in place in the immediate aftermath of major trauma, including talking about and facilitating early access to legal support to aid rehabilitation.

To establish and develop relationships with key stakeholders to promote Day One and address the needs of those affected by catastrophic injury. 

To work as part of the wider Day One Service’s team and organisation, taking responsibility for own record keeping and data collection in line with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities 

The post holder’s primary duties and responsibilities are as follows: 

• Work closely, and in partnership, with NHS clinical staff and relevant community and voluntary sector organisations, to address the needs of patients, and those closest to them, affected by catastrophic injury. 

• Operate a case management approach to individuals, assessing and identifying needs, putting support in place including signposting, making referrals and direct support. 

• Provide consistency in assessment of all patients, irrespective of injury cause, age, status, giving access to the earliest possible specialist legal advice which supports rehabilitation and NHS cost recovery. 

• Maintain detailed case records, including accurate records of activity and intervention, using Day One’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, capturing and storing data in line with Day One policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. 

• Implement processes and procedures to collect patient and family feedback and contribute to ongoing monitoring and evaluation of Day One services through providing relevant information, case studies and reports. 

• Build awareness of the role and charity’s purpose through building strong and effective relationships across the regional major trauma network, ensuring those who need it have access to Day One support. 

• Work closely with local authority, statutory and voluntary organisations to provide patient and family support and advocacy. 

• Help establish other support mechanisms once a person is no longer within the hospital setting, supporting the patient discharge process in conjunction with leadership from NHS staff. 

• Identify and support the recruitment and supervision of Day One volunteers, where appropriate. 

• Support the roll out of our Peer Support Service, focussed on promoting awareness and uptake within the region. 

• Work closely with the wider team on performance, quality, safety and effectiveness of all services, ensuring appropriate safeguarding policies are followed. 

• Work closely with our Fundraising and Communications team, supporting national activity, as well as regional initiatives to raise awareness and fundraise. 

• Be prepared to travel across the region and, on occasion, to other sites and national meetings as required. 

• Willingness to undertake continuous development and training for the role, including mandatory Day One and NHS Trust specific training.

 About us

The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) brings together 15 leading UK aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of humanitarian crisis overseas. This role will require you to lead on organic social media as part of the DEC Communications team, working closely with the Digital and Innovation team in Fundraising, collaborate with social leads across our 15 member charities and public figures through our talent agency. During appeal launch periods it will also involve managing a small social media team of volunteers.

All roles at the DEC are based in our London office. We operate a hybrid working model, with some non-negotiable office attendance. Please note, during the two-week appeal launch period, staff are required to work extremely long hours, in a faced-paced busy environment, with mandatory office attendance.

Strengthening The Future of Macclesfield’s Heritage moves the Trust towards this vision, strengthening fundraising capacity plus staff and board skills, to provide a solid foundation for the future.

The Trust has achieved a great deal over the last 5 years, securing funding from public sources, trusts, and foundations. This newly created role will build on this success and attract substantial support from individuals and corporate sources. It involves working with internal and external stakeholders to raise funds for core funding, projects, and capital campaigns. It is envisaged that the post-holder will work with Trustees and staff to establish a Development sub-group to inform and drive this work. Strategic planning and communications are key to this. This role will drive forward new plans for individual giving, philanthropy and fundraising to significantly rebuild the Trust’s reserves.

Role:

To lead the Trust’s work towards financial resilience through broadening its income streams

To increase voluntary income from funders and philanthropists by 50%, reflating free reserves, through an ambitious Development & Fundraising Strategy

To initiate, lead, and deliver projects to develop and transform the work, premises, and staff of the Silk Museum & Paradise Mill, working with consultancy support to:

· Develop a 3-5 year business plan

· Cost and plan options for tackling the site:

o Limitations to accessibility and visitor welcome

o Constraints to income generation

o significant challenges to building maintenance, environmental sustainability, care, and display of our collections

o rising energy costs

· Secure funding for major conservation, building repairs and organisational development.

To build a new supporter community and membership offer to attract supporters and philanthropists for the Trust’s development plans

To drive strong working relationships and communication with Museum staff, volunteers, and Trustees, to develop a broad fundraising ethos, including training and mentoring to Trustees and Museum staff

To keep current with fundraising sector developments, approaches, and opportunities

Specific Responsibilities and Duties:

Development

· Review and develop the Trust’s Development & Fundraising Strategy, identifying and pursuing fundraising opportunities, campaigns, and funding applications in line with this strategy, including:

o Trusts and foundations

o Statutory funders

o Corporate support and partnerships

o a new legacies programme, Supporters, and individual giving programmes

· Maximise income and in-kind support through fundraising activities onsite and online, including events and sponsorship, to engage current supporters and cultivate new relationships.

· Ensure that all fundraising activities are delivered professionally and timely to ensure maximum and meaningful engagement

· Manage the evaluation of fundraising activities and prepare and submit reports to key stakeholders.

· Deliver reporting for statutory funders, ensuring that the museum delivers on its reporting requirements in a timely manner.

General responsibilities and duties

· Oversee the work of the Programming Team (Senior Curator, Paradise Mill; Museum Curator; Community Engagement Programmer) in delivering, evaluating, and reporting on existing funded programmes, including Arts Council CIP, Pilgrim Trust, Granada Foundation, Foyle Foundation, and Macclesfield Town Council.

· Contribute to the success and culture of The Silk Heritage Trust

· Interact and cooperate proactively with all employees, trustees, and volunteers, ensuring good teamwork.

· Manage performance of staff, volunteers, and researchers as appropriate and in line with the Trust’s performance management processes.

· Make best use of technology across our activities.

· Support effective communications and promotion of The Silk Museum and Paradise Mill

· Work flexibly at times and on occasions that connect with the needs of audiences and communities.

About the role
The Client Services Manager utilises our CRM to manage the Charities team inventory requirements (products including charity entries and advertising packages) across the London Marathon Events portfolio. This role supports the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of the charities team systems and processes to ensure our team can work efficiently, maximise the use of our CRM to support sales and charity customers communications, and give our charity partners a best-in-class customer experience.
 
Key Responsibilities 
 

• Lead the charities advertising asset management process, working with internal teams to confirm timelines, roles and responsibilities and ensure tools and workflows are used efficiently to deliver partners benefits on time and on budget. 
• Support      with registration platform system testing, feedback, management and      development.  
• Deliver      charity entries and advertising sales product set-up, testing and roll-out      in Dynamics. 
• Support      in improving processes for all systems used by      the Charities team.
• Represent      the Charities team as a subject specialist on business improvement project      groups supporting to scope and test our team’s      requirements.  
• Utilise      Dynamics, our CRM to analyse buying patterns and sales to provide the      sales team with deeper customer and products insights to help identify      opportunities to strengthen charity relationships or product      offerings.
• Working      closely with the Dynamics team to optimise the use of our CRM for charity      customers, including segmentation and targeting, sales performance      reporting. 
• Support      the Senior Client Services Manager with the relationship management of our      partners (Enthuse, Let’s Do This), reviewing performance to spot      opportunities or trouble shoot challenges.  
• Contribute      to data selection procedures and technical solutions to import data,      identifying opportunities for improvement. 
• Support      the maintenance and cleaning of our data and support the team to use our      CRM consistently. 
• Document      Client services processes. 
• Representing      the team at project boards. 

 
 About you
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively across a range of audiences. The ideal candidate will be a confident user of Microsoft Office 365, with advanced skills that support efficient and high-quality work.
 
Experience in undertaking data selections for targeted marketing mailings is essential, along with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects from start to finish. You’ll need excellent organisational skills, coupled with strong analytical thinking, time management, problem-solving, and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience working in this way within a charity’s fundraising team or equivalent would be desired but not essential.
 
A keen eye for detail, active listening skills, and a proactive approach to teamwork and collaboration are key to succeeding in this role. If you’re someone who takes ownership of their work and thrives on delivering high standards, this could be the role for you.

Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager - Individual Philanthropy

This is a key role of the Freedom Fund’s partnerships team, responsible for leading and implementing the organisation’s individual fundraising strategy. This is a strategic, high-autonomy role with responsibility for developing and managing a global portfolio of individual donors and prospects, guiding them through all stages of the donor lifecycle - from identification and cultivation to solicitation and stewardship. The SSPM will lead the design and execution of a donor experience strategy to enhance engagement, deepen relationships, and increase long-term support. They will also manage and coordinate the strategic involvement of senior leadership - including the CEO, Managing Director of External Relations, and Head of Strategic Partnerships - in high-level donor engagement.

The SSPM will directly supervise at least one team member supporting both individual and foundation fundraising, and may manage additional staff as the individual giving function grows. They will collaborate closely with colleagues across the organisation - including the Events Manager, Communications team, and Programs teams - to develop compelling donor materials, shape engagement opportunities, and ensure alignment of messaging and strategy.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and values-driven fundraiser to build and lead a critical function within a fast-paced, global organisation working to end modern slavery.

Based in New York and reporting to the Head of Strategic Partnerships, the postholder will work collaboratively with colleagues across the U.S. and U.K. to grow and steward a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and help shape the broader strategic partnerships strategy.

The Job

Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager, the Supporter Care Officer role sits within the Communications, Engagement and Fundraising team. USPG is looking for someone with excellent communication skills and enthusiasm to join our small but growing fundraising team.  The post holder will be the first port of call for all incoming communications and will work closely with the Individual Giving Manager to ensure that our supporters feel valued. The role is also responsible for maintaining the data and developing supporter care processes.

You are highly organised, enthusiastic and flexible with a passion for delivering an excellent supporter experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service, data handling and administration. They will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with a flexible, can-do attitude. The role holder will be used to co-ordinating a varied workload, working in close collaboration with colleagues and delivering to deadlines. They will have excellent IT skills and experience of working with databases.
