Our Cattery Team Leaders provides front line leadership and management to a team of staff and volunteers, ensuring first class service delivery in relation to animal welfare.
This opportunity is focused on leading the cattery team in delivering the highest standards of feline welfare, care, and enrichment. You will ensure that all cats receive compassionate, individualised care and that the team operates efficiently, safely, and in line with welfare best practices.

Overall objectives:

• To lead the Cattery team, managing, motivating, and developing staff to achieve their full potential.

You’ll work closely with our Senior Manager of Major Gifts and Senior Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Operations to launch and grow our DAF strategy in the UK. Essential Responsibilities 

• Develop and implement ongoing strategies for Humane World for Animals’ growth in private philanthropy amongst wealth advisors, individuals and DAF managers in the UK, ensuring a strong ROI and including setting appropriate KPIs to monitor progress and measure success. 
• Align the UK DAF strategy with the broader high net worth engagement strategy , collaborating with colleagues to maximise impact. 
• Build Humane World for Animals’ UK DAF portfolio: identify, cultivate, solicit and deliver significant relationships and partnerships with wealth advisors and DAF managers. 
• Conduct outreach to wealth advisors outside the Humane World for Animals network who may not yet be familiar with our work and raising our profile with this specific audience, including via networking and events opportunities. 
• Formulate and implement individual strategies for developing key DAF partnerships and initiatives around programmatic priorities, mobilising necessary internal and external resources to ensure all partnerships are effectively executed and partners’ needs are fully met. Includes proposal development work. 
• Act as an internal expert on the DAF landscape within the UK, bringing this to bear when developing proposals and ideas with programmatic staff. 
• Contribute to internal collaboration on breakthrough solutions that can deliver social impact at scale for complex philanthropic relationships which span a variety of mechanisms of giving. 
• Partner across revenue streams (including corporate partnerships, foundations, and major gifts) to maximise and leverage fundraising opportunities. 
• Lead on our high net worth income from individuals;  identify, cultivate, solicit and deliver significant relationships. 
• Develop working relationships with program staff in order to identify funding opportunities and access program information that can be used to cultivate and steward wealth advisors. 
• Stay abreast of key issues and trends in the international aid and wealth advisor community. 
• Use our CRM (ROI Solutions) to track all DAF activity and revenue and activity projection in line with our data protection and privacy policies. 
• Effectively represent Humane World for Animals to external audiences for both fundraising and profile elevation.

The opportunity

We are seeking a commercially minded, results-driven professional to support the delivery of CILIP’s membership growth strategy. This pivotal role is responsible for generating demand through targeted marketing campaigns and converting interest into membership through business development and relationship management.

Working closely with the Director of Business Development, you will play a key role in achieving CILIP’s strategic goal of increasing both individual and organisational membership, while also maximising member lifetime value. About the role

This role supports the delivery of CILIP’s membership growth strategy, focusing on generating demand, converting leads into new members, and enhancing member retention and value. Key areas of delivery:

· Cross-team collaboration

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised Project Manager with experience working in or with schools to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of our careers-related activities. This role ensures our partner schools receive high-quality careers education that aligns with the Gatsby Benchmarks.

The Switch partners with approximately 12 secondary schools in Tower Hamlets, delivering an engaging careers programme that supports every student.  As Project Manager, you will work closely with the Secondary Schools team to deliver engaging and inspiring careers activities across our network of secondary schools, creating an impactful experience for students. You will also work alongside the Mentoring Project Manager to manage several mentoring cohorts, serving as the key point of contact for both schools and partner companies, while upholding our robust safeguarding standards.

This role involves hands-on delivery of careers sessions, directly engaging and inspiring students to explore and pursue their future aspirations

· The role sits within the Secondary Schools team and reports to the Senior Project Manager.

· Working hours are typically 9am – 5pm Monday – Thursday, and 9am – 4pm Fridays

· Working from home (WFH) is typically 2 days a week

We’re an ambitious charity with a bold mission and fantastic culture. As a key member of the Community Fundraising team, you’ll work alongside the Community Fundraising Managers, Executives and Co-ordinators to achieve the exciting growth plans in our new 3-year fundraising strategy.

In this role, you’ll take the lead on our DIY walking and cycling fundraising activity, which currently raises over £750k each year. You’ll be responsible for providing outstanding relationship management for our fundraisers, ensuring every supporter feels valued, motivated and proud to be part of our community.

Using data and insight, you’ll spot trends, identify new opportunities and help shape fresh, creative ideas to grow income and improve the supporter experience. You’ll also lead on development projects, like designing new supporter journeys, working closely with teams across the charity to make sure our fundraisers are inspired and supported every step of the way.

What we want from you

We’re looking for someone with knowledge and experience of working in a fundraising environment – ideally within a community or events context. You’ll have a proven track record of delivering brilliant supporter experiences, building genuine relationships and stewarding fundraisers through their events. You’ll understand the importance of meeting supporter needs and how to keep them inspired and connected to the cause.

You’ll bring excellent organisational skills and experience of planning and managing projects with multiple stakeholders, making sure we hit our KPIs and maximise fundraising income. With knowledge of how to plan, deliver and evaluate marketing activity, including digital campaigns on Meta, you’ll be comfortable finding ways to engage new supporters and keep them motivated.

A forward-thinker and natural problem solver, you won’t be afraid to use your initiative and analytical skills to spot opportunities for improvement and help shape new ideas. You’ll have experience developing, or supporting the development of, annual fundraising plans and budgets, and delivering against these to meet targets.

Clear, motivational communication comes naturally to you, whether it’s writing to supporters, updating colleagues or reporting on results. You’ll also be confident using databases to keep accurate records, analyse data and share insights that help us grow.

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Fundraising & Events to lead the development and growth of a high-performing department focused on generating income through national and international challenge events and corporate partnerships. 
 
This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for designing the fundraising and events strategy, building the structure and team to deliver it, and ensuring scalable, sustainable growth. You will shape the long-term direction of the department, ensure the right people and processes are in place, and play a key role in supporting the organisation’s broader income generation goals — including supporting the CEO with major donor stewardship. 
 
While the department’s primary focus is income growth through challenge events and corporate partnerships, the role also includes oversight of a small number of legacy community events and relationships ensuring continuity and reputational stewardship. 
 

Key Responsibilities: 

Strategic Leadership & Department Building 

• Develop and lead the overall strategy for the Fundraising & Events department in line with the organisation’s income growth objectives. 
• Design and build a departmental structure capable of delivering scalable fundraising through events and partnerships. 
• Recruit, lead, and manage a high-performing team, ensuring clarity of roles, effective delegation, and strong performance management. 
• Establish systems, workflows, and processes that support growth, quality, and consistency across all fundraising activity.

Challenge Events Programme

Corporate Fundraising

Major Donor Support

• Ensure the department provides the research, briefing, and coordination required to support a best-in-class major donor experience. 

Legacy Community Fundraising 

• Provide oversight and continuity for a limited number of legacy community events, ensuring they are delivered with appropriate resource and quality. 
• Work with the Fundraising & Events Manager to assess the future viability of these events and how they may integrate with or exit from the broader fundraising strategy. 
• Maintain key relationships with mosque and school partners to preserve goodwill and support transitional planning. 

Team Leadership 

• Line manage the Fundraising & Events Manager, providing coaching, strategic direction, and performance support. 
• Ensure the team structure remains fit for purpose as event formats, income goals, and capacity evolve. 
• Delegate operational oversight of individual events and activities while maintaining accountability for departmental outcomes. 

Cross-Organisational Leadership 

• Represent fundraising and events at the senior leadership level, contributing to organisational strategy and decision-making.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Significant experience in a senior fundraising or income generation role, including designing and delivering strategy at a departmental level.

• Proven ability to develop income streams, including events and corporate fundraising, from inception to sustainability.
