We are recruiting for Floating Support Worker who will support the Ascent Pan London Service in building sustainable referral pathways and joint working protocols with a range of partners working with survivors of domestic abuse

You will provide capacity-building in the form of advice, advocacy, support, and briefings across the London boroughs to statutory agencies and community organizations around the needs of Eastern European domestic abuse survivors, to embed best practice across our communities. 

It is desirable for candidates to be proficient in one or more Eastern European languages.

You will have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to women as well as up-to-date knowledge of legislation relating to survivors of gender-based violence. You will have excellent casework skills, good written and verbal communication skills, clear professional boundaries and be a proactive team player. All candidates must demonstrate a commitment to the feminist values of empowerment and equality which underpin all of our work. 

The post holder will provide a high-quality personal welfare support service to Eastern European survivors of domestic abuse and other forms of violence and abuse and their children. The post holder will empower Eastern European survivors by providing them with emotional and practical support, including support to access safe accommodation.

Could you be the new Worker Organiser in our team? This 12 month post will lead on worker outreach and organising with onshore and offshore energy workers. Working from our existing contact list, and making new contacts through online and in person outreach, you will be responsible for building links with energy workers and community members and planning interventions.

Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year-round night shelter provision. 

APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support. 

This role will require a keen interest in homelessness and the devastating impact this can have on people. This is a new role which would suit someone with experience of recruiting and managing volunteers. Purpose of the role

The Alcohol Behavioral Change Specialist is responsible for collaboratively designing and implementing, evidence-based programmes applying appropriate behavioural change models aimed at reducing alcohol-related harm, and promoting long-term behavioral change related to alcohol consumption.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for Advocates to join and shape this service covering Moray. Your role will support individuals with substance use disorders, ensuring they receive high-quality, person-centred care in line with Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT 8) standards. The role involves providing advocacy, support, and guidance to clients, helping them navigate their recovery journey with dignity and respect. Your role will require you to travel to locations such as clients’ homes, hospitals, care homes and within community settings across the area to meet with clients and professionals. How are staff supported to work remotely?

The Supporter-led Fundraising (SLF) Department at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for mass fundraising through enabling individuals, communities and companies to support ARUK through their own talents and passions. As well as driving registrations and income through third party, virtual and mass participation events and managing these relationships to maximise income.

We are looking to for an Online Fundraising Executive to support the team. In this role you will be the face of our friendly and passionate Online Fundraising Team; building relationships with supporters who use online channels to fundraise such as Facebook challenges, streaming and crypto donors.

You will also be at the forefront of the fundraising sector as it develops; keen to understand new areas of growth, you will help spot potential and trends in new areas of online fundraising and be willing to adapt to this quickly changing area.

You will provide crucial administrative support to ensure the smooth integration of our online fundraising systems across ARUK. Support may include adding accurate details to our database, tracking and monitoring income, responsibility for online donation platforms and virtual fundraising as well as general administrative duties in the office.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Online Administrative Support

· Steward online fundraising supporters, with a particular focus on Facebook challenge moderation and messaging

· Lead on specific fundraising processes e.g. merchandise for Facebook challenges

· Provide lead administrative support for all Facebook challenges, crypto donations and streaming campaigns

· Support with social media and website updates including virtual fundraising challenges

The Countess of Brecknock Hospice Charity is now seeking an experienced and inspirational Deputy Charity Director & Fundraiser to help shape and grow our future. Amongst other criteria, the successful candidate will have:

• A proven track record of successful income generation across multiple fundraising streams, ideally including major donors, events, trusts and foundations, legacies, corporate partnerships and community fundraising.
• A proactive and strategic mindset, with the ability to spot opportunities, shape compelling cases for support, and deliver results.
• The confidence to operate at a senior level and deputise for the Charity Director when needed.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to build meaningful, lasting relationships with supporters, donors and volunteers.

Do you want to work with multiple award-winning charity, FoodCycle? As Regional Manager you will represent, manage and co-ordinate FoodCycle for your allocated regional Projects. Our Projects are spaces where volunteers are empowered to run their own community meals using surplus food.​

You will manage local relationships with supermarkets, volunteer recruitment channels and venues to enable this to happen. As an excellent communicator, you will manage the volunteers at each Project ensuring they are trained, supported and on-message with FoodCycle strategy, ensuring that volunteers are confident enough to self-organise and make a success of their Projects.​

You will have experience of programme planning and delivery, and working with volunteers. You will be experienced in building relationships with a range of stakeholders, and be passionate about food and cooking.​

There will be frequent travel to our projects in the North East, with some evening and weekend work needed to cover our projects. A full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential for this rewarding role.​

We are recruiting a Senior Media and Communications Officer to join us and play a pivotal role in promoting Solace’s services and campaigning work to external audiences via the media and social media. The post holder will also support with internal communications, and hold oversight of communications volunteers. This role will ensure domestic abuse survivors, decision makers, supporters and future supporters understand the life-saving services we offer, our hard-hitting campaigns, Solace’s impact on women’s lives and our contribution to bringing about lasting change.

Sussex Emmaus is a 58 bed supported accommodation project. We offer low to medium support for those who have experienced or may be at risk of experiencing homelessness. Emmaus supports people to work their way out of homelessness, providing a home for as long as someone needs it. Emmaus works with people who may have faced multiple disadvantages. This can include but is not exclusive to: homelessness; mental health issues; contact with the criminal justice system; historical substance and/or alcohol misuse; and domestic abuse.
Emmaus is a homelessness charity with a difference, we offer a home, work and a sense of belonging. For many people who have experienced homelessness, losing their self-esteem can be the most damaging part of their experience. Emmaus provides an opportunity to work; it can be valuable in rebuilding companion’s self-esteem and self-worth. 

Job Summary:
Provide support to Companions using a person-centred approach, both emotionally and practically, so they can live and work in the Emmaus Community. The role will involve using a Strength Based Practice model to encourage Companions to become resilient and fulfilled. Assist Companions to become independent and maximise their skills, where necessary accessing outside support and services. Where appropriate, in accordance with Companion requests, provide a move-on pathway that enables them to be ready to live independently. 
Promote and embed a proactive approach to equality and diversity, by example and approach, with a commitment to treat all staff, volunteers, visitors and Companions with equity and respect.
