The International Humanity Foundation (IHF) is an award winning International Non- profit, founded and active since 2001. Our two-fold mission is to (1) Educate impoverished children, activating their highest potential and nurturing healthy, loving communities around them.
(2) Educating global citizens through real life experiences, online and in person, about the realities of impoverished communities, practical skills in aiding needed efforts, and the value of other cultures. We offer children and adults from kindergarten through retirement venues for learning and safely practicing leadership skills.
Volunteers who sign up to donate their time at our IHF Kenya Center for the Global Leader Development (GLD) program make a very real impact during their stay participating in the various tasks.
The Role
As a GLD, you will participate in four hours of local on site tasks, in addition to four hours per day as a member of multiple International Online Teams.
Your local tasks may include, but are not limited to:
● Provide hands on help with the center's day-to-day operations
● Participate in a cultural exchange, organizing special games and activities with our children
● Support our sustainable Peace Farm Project and learn how agriculture is still a vital part of everyday Kenyan life
● Help supplement our children’s education by joining in with our evening reading and study programs
● Be responsible for the management, design and implementation of community led projects linked to your academic and or professional skills and experience
● Manage local and international volunteers and shape their experience at our IHF Kenya Center
Your international online tasks may include, but are not limited to:
● Budgeting and finance
● Donor relations and sponsorships
● Social media campaigns and fundraising
● Website development
● Recruitment
Essential Requirements
Volunteers accepted to this program will have:
● Confidence using the English language (both spoken and written)
● A passion for international development with a particular emphasis on universal education
● Career development goals aligned with IHF’s mission
Eligibility
The program requires a college diploma or University degree and minimum time commitment of four months, though we encourage volunteers to stay for up to one year. All volunteers receive one day off per week and a four days holiday per month.

Purpose: We are looking for a part-time Content Creator & Community Engagement volunteer to support with the implementation of our current Marketing strategy. Croydon Community Against Trafficking (CCAT) is a small Croydon-based charity which is committed to the fight against modern slavery and human trafficking. We are currently five trustees, one project manager, and a handful of volunteers.
We are currently establishing a multi-stakeholder project which aims to make the London Borough of Croydon a Slavery Free Borough. This is a significant operation and is currently in the initial stages, having just had the first of many multi-stakeholder meetings.
We are looking for an organised and numerate volunteer to help with marketing, raising funds and regular donations to meet our aims.

What your volunteering entails:
• The first point of contact and coordinater of fundraising and events
• Working with Trustees to identify and secure appropriate future events and fundraising activities
• Coordinating administration of events, funding ideas and opportunities
• Running stalls, handing out information, collections for donations and similar (with Trustee/Staff guidance)
• Volunteering alongside Bid/Grant Writer Volunteer (if applicable)
• Referring complex issues to Trustee/Staff
• General admin as and when needed
Your personal skills and attributes include:
• Previous Marketing and/or Fundraising experience is essential
• Excellent communication skills
• Organised, focused and pays attention to details
• Numerate and able to work to tight deadlines and can prioritise well
• Proficient user of Email, MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint and similar
• Knows when to ask for help and where boundaries are
• Can take initiative when needed, dedicated and flexible

Main purpose of the role
- To provide telephone friendship service to veterans (and their partners) in their own homes.
Key focus
- To provide telephone friendship and companionship which is appropriate, and person centred. You will need the use of your own telephone /mobile.
- The use of a quiet safe space so you can concentrate on the call and maintain confidentiality.
- Provide telephone support to alleviate loneliness and social isolation and help to build confidence.
- Report any concerns or problems to the volunteer coordinator immediately.
- To record information about the call on the telephone log and submit this monthly.
- Read and understand the information provided as part of the induction training. • Understand and work to the Telephone Friendship Service guidelines, boundaries and expectations.
- Adhere to Royal Star & Garter confidentiality policy.
- To take care of own Health & Safety and that of others affected by your volunteering activities.
- Promote the reputation, culture and ethos of the charity as a quality provider of excellent care and customer service.
Time commitment
- Minimum of 1 hour per week.
- There is no time limit on the length of service, but Telephone Friends are asked to make a commitment for a minimum of 12 months.

- We are also looking for people who are willing to undertake induction and training and who will work within our guidelines and policies.
- The role is dependent on a DBS check.

- This is a remote role, and you will be required to attend online induction training.
