Key responsibilities:

• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and forecasting; manage financial risks, investments, and reserves.
• Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Provide financial guidance to the CEO, SLT, Trustees, and stakeholders; attend and present at key meetings.
• Manage financial administration including banking, payroll, tax returns, annual accounts, audit, and continuous process improvements.

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent).
• Have an understanding of the charity environment and wider landscape.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and team working.
• Have a positive attitude.
• Can plan and prioritise own and others’ work to set deadlines, with good time management skills.

Safe Passage International (SPI) is recruiting a Head of UK Legal Team to lead our ground-breaking legal work in the UK. The UK Legal team works to ensure that safe routes exist for all people seeking asylum. The team specialises in providing free legal advice and representation to unaccompanied children and families seeking asylum in the UK.

The Head of UK Legal Team will be a UK-based qualified solicitor or barrister or OISC Level 3 accredited caseworker or IAAS Supervising Senior caseworker with experience of working within the UK in a legal capacity, specifically in the area of asylum, immigration and refugee family reunion.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead a high performing team of immigration lawyers, casework supervisors, and caseworkers. You will drive the development and delivery of our legal strategy in the UK; supervise all UK legal casework; lead our litigation strategy; develop good practices of line management and regulatory compliance within the team; and lead legal policy work by collaborating closely with colleagues within the UK, France and Greece to create a cohesive, powerful, cross-border legal response and framework.

You will also work closely with the Heads of SPI Greece and France, our International Safeguarding and Protection Manager, Experts by Experience Consultants, and Safe Passage Young Leaders to shape our legal function.

This is a vital role within the senior leadership team of a young and dynamic organisation. AAUK's Digital team within the Advocacy & Influencing department are seeking a Senior Digital Content Specialist. The purpose of the role will be to commission, plan, design, edit and publish content across all digital channels to increase reach and engagement with ActionAid audiences and to build ActionAid’s authority as a champion of women and girls. 

The post holder will create, manage and optimise integrated digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels to support all strategic objectives. This opportunity will allow the Senior Digital Content Specialist to lead on digital best practice, digital skills, tools and processes across the organisation, using their knowledge to influence ways of working and embed digital culture and lead on digital content planning and creation as part of project groups on cross-organisation integrated campaigns.

In this role, you will be working on a 1:1 basis with our Autistic learners. You will provide support to learners so that they can access the curriculum whilst also promoting their independence and self-esteem through community led activities.

TreeHouse School is a happy and vibrant community where autistic children and young people learn and flourish. Currently, we have 100 pupils on roll aged 4- 19 years old. We provide children with the specialist, intensive and integrated support to enable them to learn, thrive and achieve. All pupils have a Primary diagnosis of autism with some that also have additional complex needs. TreeHouse School was inspected by Ofsted in 2023 and found to be "Outstanding" in all areas. One of these roles will work across the range of non-clinical science departments at the university and the other will have a portfolio focussed on the Department of Physics.

In these roles you will:

• Play a crucial role in ensuring that philanthropic income against the core priorities of the MPLS Division rises in a steady and sustainable manner year on year.
• Implement solicitation strategies to secure major gift support from individuals, corporates partners and trusts and foundations, often working jointly with a senior academic.
• Identify prospective donors with whom the University will aim to develop significant philanthropic relationships and build a robust prospect pipeline.
• Be able to understand academically complex projects and explain and promote them to potential, non-specialist donors.

Skills that are required to apply for these roles:

• Experience in a complex organisation and direct involvement in securing major gifts or corporate partnerships.
• An ability to think both strategically and tactically about the relations between potential donors and fundraising goals.
• An ability to provide specialist expertise in the area of major gift philanthropy, and to develop a long-term strategy for the solicitation of principal gifts.
• A passion for science and technology, although that could be curiosity and interest, rather than any specific working experience.

It is an exciting and important time to be joining us at Crisis. We work with thousands of people across England, Scotland and Wales so they can leave homelessness behind for good. About the role

As part of our commitment to end the homelessness of more people using our direct services, including people with complex needs, we are seeking a Practitioner Psychologist or Psychological Therapist to work across our Edinburgh Skylight service.

You will join an extraordinary team of frontline lead workers with a focus on people facing homelessness who have survived a range of difficult and traumatic experiences.

You will look forward to engaging with individuals who have very difficult lives and have struggled to access traditional forms of support.
