Coaching and Therapeutic Lead

The Role:
We’re looking for a bold and caring person to lead and develop Lancashire Mind’s Wellbeing Coaching service and mobilise a pilot of therapeutic services; a new service for Lancashire Mind.

You will be a mental health practitioner with experience of delivering therapeutic services and understand the different types of therapy and support clients need. To succeed in the role, you will need excellent communication skills, project management and line management experience.

The current postholder is going on maternity leave so we are looking for someone who is able to step into the role and hit the ground running. You will be motivated, flexible and adaptable.

Along with managing the rollout of Lancashire Mind’s therapeutic services, you will manage several coaching focussed projects. As such you will lead on partner and funder liaison, promotion, quality assurance, monitoring and reporting. You will work with a range of voluntary and community organisations and will identify and develop new opportunities for services.

The Project Coordinator will work closely with our team of five Programme Managers to support with the day-to-day operations of the programme. Role Purpose

The Community Engagement Manager (Maternity Cover) role will be a critical piece of our Community Programmes team, which provides support to founders at every stage of their startup journey. The Community Programme offering includes a roster of events including panels, masterclasses and workshops, as well as mentoring and coaching opportunities, and peer-to-peer engagement opportunities. We work with an exciting range of partners across the private and third sectors to connect underrepresented founders to networks and capital that will help launch and grow their mission-driven businesses.

Responsibilities

Graduate Community Engagement

• Maintain the community engagement strategy for enhanced engagement between founders and a more cohesive founder journey across all stages
•  Maintain the end-to-end design and management of the founder experience in the graduate community platform (Circle)
• Helping founders to widen their networks and facilitate connections that can provide critical support and direction via our graduate community platform
• Work collaboratively across the Programmes team to ensure entrepreneurs who engage with Hatch are connected to the best programmes, resources and offers for them

• Supporting the collection and collation of feedback from volunteers, mentors and founders in order to monitor and improve participant experience
• Working with the Fundraising team to report on Community Programme KPIs, anecdotal feedback, and to support with the generation of case studies, for funder reports and fundraising pitches

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Support Coach to join their team.  They believe that empowering people to create vibrant communities themselves is the best option, sometimes they just need a helping hand and support. They are looking for the person that can provide that.

You will use coaching and support skills to help sustain tenancies and prevent the risk of homelessness. This is a customer centric role in which you will demonstrate a compassionate and open-minded approach to all customers, from all backgrounds.  You will be assisting customers to maintain their home by giving advice and support on setting up their home, welfare benefits, budgeting, health issues and independent living skills.

About you 

With experience of working in a customer-based environment that acknowledges and understands differences, they are looking for someone with experience of using a coaching model to engage, encourage and enable customers to achieve their potential. 

With good communication skills, you will have experience of building relationships with both customer and other professionals.

You will be able to work independently as well as in a team and you will have the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities. 

Experience of providing support / coaching to enable others to maximise their income and effectively budget would be beneficial for this role. 

Due to the nature of the role, you will hold a current full driving licence and have access to an insured vehicle.

They are looking for a new Assistant Coach, to work alongside the Centre Manager, as part of the team at Citizen Church to deliver the Spear Programme, equipping and empowering unemployed 16–24 year olds to overcome barriers to employment and turn their lives around by moving into sustainable work or further education.

The important stuff 

Salary: £21,000 p.a. pro rata for part-time role (£10,500) 

Hours: Part time, 2.5 days per week, between 9.30am – 5.30pm, Tuesday – Thursday (with some flexibility and occasional evening or weekend work for events such as Spear Celebrations)

Location: Citizen Church, Cardiff

Key Responsibilities

Spear Programme

• Lead group sessions of up to 10 young people, using coaching skills to transform their mindsets, and to maximise their potential in stepping into the world of work
• Prepare and deliver coaching sessions on a weekly basis and find creative ways of developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees. This includes running application workshops with past Trainees as well as maintaining records and reporting on statistics.

Relationship management

• Build and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, and other organisations
• You will support with job fairs, mock interview days and welcoming external visitors to the centre

Church Community

• The Spear Coach is directly employed by Citizen Church, meaning you are part of a vibrant church staff team and submerged in an exciting faith community
• Help to raise the profile of the Spear programme within Citizen Church and build a network of supporters and volunteers from the congregation
• Other ad hoc church responsibilities from time to time.

Successful candidates will receive extensive training and on-the-job coaching from a well-qualified clinical team, Registered Manager, and Senior management team. Additionally, staff employed within the service will have the opportunity to receive formal Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) training and coaching from qualified behavioural specialists.

Working Pattern – 37.5 hours per week, worked flexibly over five days. Weekend working will be required.

Salary – £21,283 (£10.91) rising to £23,412 (£12.01) from April 2024.

25% pay enhancement for all weekend hours worked.

Location – Wythenshawe, Manchester.
