We are seeking a dedicated Philanthropy Officer who will help sustain and grow the organisation’s income. This involves managing timelines for applications and reports, writing high-quality proposals and impact reports (often in collaboration with colleagues in policy, science, communications, and finance), and researching new funding opportunities.
The role also includes maintaining strong relationships with existing funders by providing timely updates outside of formal reporting, and leading on the drafting of the organisation’s annual report to clearly communicate achievements and impact.
CHEM Trust’s overarching aim is to prevent synthetic chemicals from causing long-term damage to wildlife and people by ensuring that chemicals which cause such harm are substituted with safer alternatives.
Currently, we are primarily funded by trusts and foundations and are very successful, raising significant funds to facilitate the sustained growth of the organisation and our reserves. We have an ethical funding policy, and it is imperative that we maintain our independence and science-based approach.
Key Duties
- Fundraising activity – preparing compelling and bespoke proposals tailored to donor requirements, ensuring effective stewardship of charitable trust and foundation major gifts within CHEM Trust’s portfolio by building relationships and providing on-time reports and updates.
- Working cross-organisationally, to ensure relevant information is obtained from CHEM Trust’ team members in a timely fashion to report to funders in advance of deadlines.
- Timeline management – keeping an accurate track of the necessary reporting and application deadlines and ensuring these are communicated in good time to relevant team members.
- Developing relationships and networking – including excellent donor stewardship to existing funders and using events, meetings, talks and inspirational writing to help charitable trusts learn about CHEM Trust’s work and understand the difference we are making.
- Recording and maintaining accurate funding data, ensuring records are kept and effectively managed and that CHEM Trust’s fundraising team operates within GDPR.
- Good team working - daily interaction with the fundraising team, wider CHEM Trust team, funding partners and others, plus possible interaction with trustees.
- Leading on the writing of the annual report, tailoring it to be a key document that prospective funders can use to get a succinct overview of CHEM Trust’s vision, goals, and achievements.

Look Ahead's Hammersmith & Fulham Mental Health Service is a Mental Health supported accommodation which is a pathway service for people to work towards their independence. There are 3 buildings in the cluster, all of them are lone-working.
As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting our residents to help them to enhance life skills and increase independence and manage their health. This also includes tenancy management and other life skills.
Support Workers in the service work across all 3 projects in Hammersmith and Fulham; working with customers with varying levels of support needs. Many of the customers have complex needs including dual diagnosis and Support Workers are expected to liaise with other agencies within the borough to best support customers. Support Workers are expected to support customers on their journey to independence in a person-centred, non-judgemental way, whilst adhering to the Look Ahead core values.
The shift schedule covers Monday to Sunday, working five days each week on a rolling rota that combines weekdays and weekends. Over a five-week period, there are two complete weekends off.

Job purpose
The Executive and Operations Coordinator provides essential administrative, operational, and executive support to enhance the effectiveness of Toynbee Hall’s Advice Services directorate. This role combines high-level executive assistance including managing the diaries of the Managing Director and Deputy Director of Advice Services, coordinating communications, and preparing for meetings with operational support across finance, HR, onboarding, and general administration. Job Title: Duty Independent Gender Violence Advocate (Duty IGVA)
Location: Lambeth, London

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Duty Independent Domestic Violence Advocate to be the first point of contact for women who are impacted by domestic violence. You will work closely with victims of domestic abuse from the point of crisis and other gender-based abuse to provide high quality independent support to survivors all risk levels and their children..
In this role you will be part of a busy team. You will be the first point of contact for survivors who have been referred to the Gaia Centre. The duty IGVA will be responding to daily enquiries (specify from whom- public, agencies, individuals? over the phone and email as well as contacting survivors, assessing their risks and needs.
The duty IGVA will be responsible for carrying out and implementing safety plans and needs and will ensure an effective handover to the over to the relevant GAIA team for ongoing support. The post holder will also empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. You will ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options. The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors.
As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

ABOUT THE POLITICS PROJECT
We support young people to use their voice by providing them with outstanding democratic education. We work with young people, teachers and politicians to help them to learn, teach and engage in politics. We are a non-partisan organisation working across the UK.
We also coordinate the Democracy Classroom network, a partnership between over 100 civil society organisations that supports young people to engage in elections.
The Politics Project delivers Digital Dialogue: Wales, which supports young people to have meaningful conversations with the politicians that represent them, building trust and relationships on both sides. Young people gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to engage in the democratic process through informed interactions with their elected representatives.
These interactions take place both online and in-person, in classrooms across Wales.
Since 2021 over 5550 young people, 130 teachers and 130 Welsh politicians (including the leaders of four political parties represented in the Senedd) have taken part in the programme.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Programme Coordinator will plan, arrange and facilitate Dialogue sessions, where learners question and discuss issues relevant to young people with their political representatives. The post holder will also support schools and colleges to deliver Youth Hustings for the 2026 Senedd and 2027 Local elections, giving learners the opportunity to meet, and ask questions to, candidates standing in their area.
The Politics Project wants Digital Dialogue: Wales to fundamentally change the way that young people and politicians interact across Wales. Help us to make sure that young people get their voices heard.
Working with the Head of Programmes and the Digital Dialogue: Wales Programme Lead, the post holder would support the delivery and growth of Digital Dialogue: Wales, allowing more young people, teachers and politicians to take part. This is a fast-paced role in a small but growing team.
While fluency in Welsh is preferred, it is not a requirement for this role.
The post holder will:
- Work with the Head of Programmes and the Digital Dialogue: Wales Programme Lead to support the delivery of the Digital Dialogue: Wales programme.

Role overview
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week). Working part-time (minimum 28 hours) will be considered. Occasional work in the evenings and at weekends may be required but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.
Salary: Starting at £36,994 with potential annual step increases up to £41,315 (pro rata if working part time), plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, we consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April.
Location: Rainbow Migration’s wheelchair accessible offices are based between Vauxhall and the Oval, London. This role will have an office-based contract but the postholder can choose to work from home for part of the week in agreement with their line manager as per our hybrid working policy. Right now, we are looking for a Waking Nights Recovery Worker to play a pivotal role in our Hestia Blackfen Recovery House in Blackfen.
Sounds great, what will I be doing?
During the night hours, a key responsibility is ensuring the overall security and safety of both the building and its service users. This involves regular health and safety checks, monitoring emergency alarm systems, CCTV surveillance, and conducting routine patrols throughout the premises. Staff are expected to co-produce risk assessments, crisis plans, and support and safety plans in collaboration with service users, their families, and professionals to reflect individual needs and circumstances. Providing person-centred support is essential, particularly during periods of crisis or mental health relapse, and includes offering intensive help around substance misuse by promoting harm reduction and safe use. Night staff also support service users in achieving outcomes related to health, economic wellbeing, personal safety, and meaningful engagement, while responding effectively to emergencies and ensuring accurate reporting. Additional duties include caretaking responsibilities such as managing housing issues, completing cleaning tasks as outlined in the rota, and conducting flat checks as necessary throughout the night to maintain a safe and supportive environment.

Here's what the team will be looking for
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience supporting individuals with mental health challenges and complex needs, with a strong preference for those who have worked with people experiencing substance misuse issues. They will possess a deep understanding of recovery-focused approaches and co-production, along with a solid awareness of the social and personal issues affecting this group. The role requires the ability to design and facilitate engaging activities that reduce anxiety, build self-confidence, and support clients in planning and pursuing their own recovery goals. The candidate must be highly motivated, maintaining excellent service delivery and support standards even when managing unpredictable or challenging behaviours. A thorough knowledge of relevant legislation—such as welfare reform, the Care Act, and housing pathways—is essential for supporting clients in crisis. They should be confident in engaging service users in assessments and co-producing, implementing, and reviewing support and safety plans, ensuring all documentation is accurately recorded and regularly audited. Proficiency in MS Office and other case management systems is necessary, as is an understanding of basic building safety and maintenance issues. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, as well as the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Additionally, the candidate must be capable of handling and recording financial transactions, including petty cash, with precision and accountability.

The postholder will manage the full lifecycle of events - from concept through delivery - ensuring every event reflects the Society’s values and enhances its reputation and reach.
Flagship events include the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey, an Award Ceremony for The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition at Buckingham Palace, the High Commissioners’ Banquet at Mansion House, and other ceremonial, stakeholder, youth, and fundraising engagements.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end management of all RCS events, ensuring the successful delivery of high-profile, ceremonial, and fundraising events.
- Oversee event planning, including venue sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier coordination, protocol, security, AV, catering, and staffing.
- Manage the delivery of the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey, ensuring coordination with the Royal Household, Westminster Abbey, the BBC, and government departments.
- Deliver a Commonwealth Concert as a key fundraising and engagement event, managing all artistic, production, and logistical elements.
- Organise the High Commissioners’ Banquet at Mansion House, coordinating with the City of London Corporation, the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council, diplomatic missions, and keynote speakers.
- Support other public-facing events, including those connected to The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition, and the Commonwealth Clean Oceans Plastics Campaign.
