A few practical things:

• This role is hybrid, involving a mixture of working from home and from our Central London office.
• There will be some limited additional requirements to travel for meetings and occasional expectations to work outside of office hours, such as our annual in person Staff Conference and quarterly evening ‘get togethers’ online with volunteers.
• This role is the equivalent of 3 days per week, however we are flexible to accommodate the regular working hours that work for you, between 9am-5.30pm Monday to Friday.
• Giving our volunteers the best possible experience involves really understanding what they do- so you will be actively encouraged to get stuck in and ‘volunteer’ yourself within our programmes and alongside our volunteers.

We are recruiting for an innovative, values-driven leader to join Mary’s Meals International (MMI), as Director of Partnerships.  Reporting to our Chief Growth Officer (CGO), you will be responsible for developing and supporting global strategic funding relationships to ensure the long-term financial sustainability and growth of our movement.

As Director of Partnerships, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of a strategy that ensures a reliable and diverse funding stream to radically grow the movement and the number of children we can consequently feed.

•  Develop and oversee the implementation of a global fundraising strategy that fits in with our overall Growth strategic plan, to maximise income growth through a range of philanthropic funding sources.
• Work closely with the CGO and the CEO to identify and advance funding priorities and relationship opportunities, at times supporting the key relationships and at times being the lead on a key relationship.
• Work collaboratively with the Mary’s Meals International Programmes team on opportunities for government and institutional funding.
• Build relationships with the National Affiliate Executive Directors to ensure that global relationships are well defined.

About you:

With a strong background in growing income streams, you will bring a proven track record in securing multi-year funding at the level of six figures+. You will have experience raising funds from a diverse range of fundraising streams including major donors, institutional funders, foundations, multi-lateral funders and corporations. You will have strong understanding and experience of how donors make decisions to ensure maximum fundraising success. Experience within a non-profit organisation that is international would be very beneficial.

About Women in Prison

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation.  We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. The primary focus for the new role is to generate sustainable charitable giving from individuals, maintaining and growing our Friends memberships and developing significant income from major donors. We are a leading choral singing organisation and run residential summer courses for children and young people. Our artistic director, Ralph Allwood, founded the organisation 45 years ago, since when over 10,000 young people have benefited from our life-changing courses. Nowadays, around one third of students receive generous bursary support to attend a course and we also work with a range of partner organisations to encourage even more young people from diverse backgrounds to take part in our choral singing courses. We want to secure the future of the organisation and increase the number of students we can support by significantly growing our individual  giving.

We are looking for an experienced fundraiser to work up to 2 days per week on a freelance basis to help us move up a gear or two in terms of our fundraising, specifically to develop private giving from our extensive alumni network and the many successful individuals who feel music education at a young age made them the person they are today.

The main duties and responsibilities for the Heads of Development role are as follows:

INDIVIDUAL GIVING

· Maintain and build relationships with our donors, and identify new individuals who would like to see the Rodolfus Choral Foundation thrive

· Use our extensive alumni list to source and maintain donors

· Use contacts from the artistic director and trustees to generate new donors

·  Ensure that our top and potential donors are well looked after and researched, passing on key information to the Artistic Director and, where appropriate, arranging meetings between him and our donors

· Organise and co-host special donor events in unique venues

· Plan and help organise membership events for donors

· Help establish a legacy giving scheme for Rodolfus

· Have overall responsibility for reaching individual giving targets

· Ensure that data is accurately kept in our database in line with GDPR, and is harnessed to support our fundraising efforts

STRATEGIC PLANNING & REPORTING

· Develop a five-year Fundraising Strategy

· Set ambitious but achievable targets for each year, within the overall Rodolfus budget

· Contribute new ideas and find new opportunities for fundraising

· Produce quarterly fundraising updates for the Trustees

· Produce a fundraising report for the annual accounts, identifying strengths, weaknesses and areas for development in the Fundraising Strategy

TRUSTS AND GRANT-MAKING BODIES

· Liaise with the General Manager to ensure a coordinated fundraising plan and targets, in keeping with the artistic vision for Rodolfus

· Proof and submit applications and be the point of contact for Trusts and Foundations (this work is currently supported by the General Manager and a fundraising consultant)

GENERAL

· Attend Team and Board meetings as required

· Be a passionate advocate at all times for Rodolfus

· Adhere to all legal requirements relating to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as well as all other company policies and procedures

· Create a positive work environment, underpinned by the organisation’s values

· The list of responsibilities is not exhaustive and may be reviewed from time to time by the Trustees.

· The appointee may be required to perform duties outside of this as operationally required and at the discretion of the Board.

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Administrator to support the smooth running of our Programmes and Operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our logistics, partnerships, and communications run efficiently, allowing us to reach and support more young people. You will work closely with suppliers, referrers, and our internal team to coordinate key aspects of our programmes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Programme & Operations Support

• Support the coordination of OSH’s residentials, events, and programmes, ensuring logistics run smoothly.

• Arrange bookings (e.g. facilitators, venues, catering, transport) to ensure contracts and payments are managed efficiently.

• Assist in staff recruitment and volunteer management with recruitment, interview scheduling, onboarding, inductions, organising meetings and receiving feedback.

• Manage resources in our lock up (based in Hornsey)

Administrative & Organisational Support

• Maintain accurate records, databases, and documentation to ensure compliance and efficiency.

• Handle general inquiries via email and phone, acting as a key point of contact for external stakeholders.

• Support the team with minute-taking in meetings.

Partnerships & Referrals

• Communicate with referrers (such as youth groups, schools, social workers, and community organisations) to ensure young people are referred and engaged in our programmes.

• Support with phoning participants and referrers to support them to complete sign up forms where necessary

• Track and monitor referral processes, ensuring smooth communication and follow-ups with referrers to maximise participation at our events

• Maintain good relationships with external partners such as venues, facilitators, transport companies and other organisations we work with. 

Finance & Compliance Support

• Assist with financial administration, such as processing invoices, logging donations, and tracking expenses.

• Ensure OSH meets data protection and safeguarding requirements, keeping records up to date.

Other duties

• Getting involved in OSH events in the evenings and at weekends, including residentials. These are overnight trips from 2 to 5 nights

• Other duties as may be required from time to time

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

• Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

• Experience in the charity, youth, or refugee/migrant sector.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Confident in communicating with external partners, suppliers, and stakeholders.

• Proactive, with the ability to take initiative and problem-solve.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records.

• IT proficient, including experience with email, spreadsheets, and document management.

• Knowledge of financial administration (e.g. processing invoices).

• Understanding of and commitment to data protection principles and maintaining confidentiality. 

• Ability to speak in other languages relevant to our community, including Arabic, Pashto, Farsi, Tigrinya, Amharic, and Oromo.
