About The Role
As a Community Builder, you will be at the heart of our charity’s ambition to reach seldom-heard members of the Armed-forces Community (AFC) and engage them in creating positive action that strengthens wider connections.
You will identify the strengths, passions and interests within the AFC, foster meaningful connections with the wider community, and utilise these to create meaningful and sustainable outcomes.
About You
You will be a highly motivated and dynamic individual who is passionate about collaboration and community-led change. You will have experience of engaging and supporting people in a community, charity, education, social care, housing, youth work, or other people-focused role using a range of facilitation tools, techniques and Community Development skills. You will need experience of working in a community setting with a diverse range of people and interests. You will have good organisational skills, energy and the ability to listen, build relationships, and inspire collaboration, which will be essential in creating positive, lasting change.
We are looking for someone with:
- A Community Development qualification and/or transferable Community Development skills and experience.
- A basic understanding of the Asset-Based Community Development approach (ABCD) is required however full support and development of this practice and our internal ways of working will be provided.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships that drive action.
- A track record of successful collaboration with internal and external partners and stakeholders.
- Effective and efficient organisational and IT skills.
PLEASE NOTE:
- The successful candidate will need to be based within a 30-minute commute of their allocated locality and there is a requirement to travel regularly across the wider area (travel expenses covered). The successful candidate must possess a valid full UK driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle with business insurance for work purposes.
- There will also be a requirement for occasional travel to other UK locations for meetings and events depending on the charity’s needs such as our annual all colleagues in person event.
- The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week over 5 days, Monday - Sunday. Core working days will be Monday to Friday; however, flexibility is essential, as regular evening and weekend work will also be required to meet the needs of the role. Working hours will vary to ensure a total of 70 hours is covered over a two-week period, so please take this into consideration before applying.

The Volunteer and Events Manager will develop and implement a volunteer strategy and annual RLSS UK plan of events, for all Directorates, which evolves to include opportunities as they arise. To do so successfully, you will be a proactive, dynamic and experienced Volunteer and Events Manager who will lead our centralised management function with passion, excitement and dedication to RLSS UK’s purpose, mission and vision.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead a professional volunteer and events function ensuring supply and demand needs are met across RLSS UK and supporting all teams to embed a consistent and coordinated approach
- To develop, implement and oversee the delivery of the volunteer strategy
- To develop and implement effective strategies, polices and processes to engage and retain volunteers and ensure a high-quality volunteer experience at all stages of the volunteer cycle
- To develop and implement effective event management strategies, policies and processes incorporating all health and safety requirements

Mansfield College is seeking an exceptional fundraising professional to join its high-performing Development team, at an exciting moment in the College’s history. We are looking for an outstanding individual to lead the College’s annual (or ‘regular’) giving programme, and create and deliver engaging stewardship opportunities for donors at all levels.
Mansfield’s annual giving programme is central to the College’s ongoing success and generates vital and significant income for the College every year for every aspect of life and work within our academic community. Now in the public phase of our For Mansfield. Forever. campaign, you will be joining a friendly, supportive and high-performing team that is responsible for delivering consecutive record-breaking fundraising years for the College.
The Development Manager is a senior role within the College’s Development & Alumni Relations team and has responsibility for executing an annual giving strategy that includes telephone campaigns; online giving days using compelling social media content to drive support; direct mail appeals; and encouraging membership of Mansfield’s 1886 Circle. This role is also responsible for ensuring engaging stewardship opportunities for donors to the College at all levels.

The Individual Giving Manager will lead the development of RLSS UK’s first comprehensive individual giving programme, building all activity from the ground up. This includes designing compelling supporter propositions, establishing donor journeys, and creating engaging campaigns that drive acquisition and long-term support.
A key part of the role will be scoping, procuring, and managing external suppliers, agencies, platforms, and partners required to deliver individual giving products and activity. This includes the development and future launch of new income streams for RLSS UK, such as a charity lottery, as well as regular giving, legacy marketing, and in-memory giving opportunities.
The postholder will play a central role in shaping the future of supporter engagement at RLSS UK, introducing best practice, ensuring strong stewardship, and embedding a supporter‑centred culture across the organisation.
JOB PURPOSE
To develop, launch, and grow RLSS UK’s first individual giving programme, building sustainable income streams that support our vital work in water safety education. As the first dedicated individual giving role, you will design the strategy and deliver hands on activity, creating compelling propositions, supporter journeys and campaigns across regular giving, one‑off gifts, lottery, legacies and in‑memory giving.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning and Strategy
- Develop RLSS UK’s first Individual Giving strategy, setting clear plans, targets, and opportunities for growth across all giving products.
- Introduce and embed best practice in compliance, data management, supporter care, and ethical fundraising.
Supplier and Partner Development
- Scope organisational needs and procure/manage suppliers, agencies and platforms required to deliver individual giving activity.
- Lead onboarding and manage delivery to agreed standards, budgets and timelines.
Supporter Engagement and Campaign Development
- Design end‑to‑end supporter journeys (acquisition, welcome, nurture, upgrade, reactivation, retention).
- Plan and deliver multi‑channel campaigns (digital, social, email, paid, direct mail) to acquire, retain and engage supporters.
- Build audience understanding through segmentation, insight and experimentation.
- Work closely with Marketing and Communications, Membership, and other teams to embed Individual Giving into the organisation.
Product Development
- Scope and pilot propositions for: Regular Giving, Digital one‑off, Charity Lottery, Legacy Giving, In‑Memory, Appeals/integrated campaigns, and Mid‑value.
- Produce product business cases with KPIs, budgets, phasing and implementation plans.
Reporting and Evaluation
- Establish reporting and monitoring frameworks for Individual Giving activity.
- Use early data and insight to inform decision‑making, future planning, and product development.
- Ensure all activity complies with the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice, GDPR, PECR and Gambling Commission requirements.
- Monitor and report on individual giving performance against KPIs and targets, reporting on performance to the Director of Income Generation and Engagement, Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees.

The Trusts and Foundations Manager will lead the development of a new income stream that supports the organisation’s future growth and strategic ambitions. With no current active grants or established project portfolio, the postholder will build the foundations of a strong trusts and foundations programme, developing a robust pipeline, shaping emerging ideas into fundable opportunities, and securing long-term income to enable new services.
Working collaboratively across the organisation, they will help colleagues understand funder expectations, develop compelling cases for support, and build the systems required for sustainable, high-quality grant fundraising. This role is central to diversifying income and ensuring the organisation is well positioned to secure future investment as new projects are developed.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Trusts and Foundations Manager will develop and grow a new trusts and foundations income stream from the ground up. They will build a pipeline of prospective funders, shape emerging ideas into fundable opportunities, and lead on high quality applications that support the organisation’s future projects. Working collaboratively across directorates, they will cultivate strong funder relationships and establish the systems needed for sustainable, long‑term income growth.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning and Strategy
- Lead the development of a new trusts and foundations income stream, building a sustainable portfolio of prospective, warm, and active funders.
- Create and maintain a structured pipeline that clearly maps cultivation, application, and stewardship stages.
- Establish effective systems, processes, and tools for researching, tracking, and managing all funding opportunities.
- Work with colleagues across the organisation to identify future fundable projects and shape them into compelling propositions.
- Develop annual trusts and foundations workplans and income forecasts aligned to organisational priorities.
Prospecting and Research
- Identify and research new trust, foundation, and statutory funders, prioritising those with the strongest alignment to RLSS UK’s mission and strategic framework.
- Identify creative ways to engage new funders and build early relationships, even before projects are fully developed.
- Stay informed about new trust and foundation funding opportunities and broader sector developments and funder priorities, to strengthen the fundraising strategy.
Bid Writing and Proposal Development
- Develop high quality, persuasive, and tailored funding applications that clearly articulate the need and potential impact.
- Ensure all proposals clearly articulate the need, planned impact, and align with funder requirements and priorities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Education, Commercial Services, Finance and the wider Income Generation and Engagement team to develop credible cases for support, project budgets and clear anticipated impact.
- Identify the most appropriate approach for each funder, including opportunities for multi‑year grants and strategic partnerships.
Relationship Management and Stewardship
- Cultivate strong, positive relationships with funders, ensuring personalised, timely and impact focused stewardship for all supporters.
- Provide excellent donor care, responding promptly to enquiries and ensuring funders feel informed, valued, and connected to RLSS UK’s mission.
- Represent RLSS UK confidently in funder meetings, presentations, and networking events to strengthen long term support.
Reporting and Evaluation
- Monitor and report on trusts and foundations fundraising performance against KPIs and targets, reporting on performance to the Director of Income Generation and Engagement, Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the CRM.
- Support the development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks to ensure future projects can deliver strong, funder‑ready impact reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to collect evidence of impact and evaluate programme performance.
- Support audit processes related to restricted funding alongside the Finance team.
- Use data-driven insights and KPIs to evaluate and refine strategies for maximum impact and return on investment.

About the Youth Endowment Fund
We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.
Every child should grow up safe from harm. Yet far too many are drawn into violence or live with the fear of it. This robs them of opportunity and damages whole communities. Even when violence doesn’t strike directly, we know that the fear of violence has a terrible effect on children’s lives.
The Youth Endowment Fund exists to try and permanently change things. To succeed, we must build an exceptional body of knowledge about violence affecting young people and how we reduce it. This knowledge has to be both rigorous and highly relevant to those making decisions about how to support vulnerable young people. We need to find out what works and what doesn’t through evidence synthesis, data analysis and qualitative research into children’s lives. We need to convert this into highly accessible content on what works, how delivery organisations need to change their practice and how the systems they operate in need to be reformed. We then need to work with the right people that can make change happen, across systems, policies and practice, to have a real impact on reducing violence affecting children’s lives.
Key Responsibilities
Deciding which projects, we should fund and evaluate is key, as is making sure we deliver our funding and evaluations to the highest standards. Our Programme Managers are responsible for identifying, assessing, funding and supporting programmes designed to prevent youth violence.
Programme Managers at YEF come from all walks of life. We look for individuals who may have experience in the youth sector, children’s social care, policing, criminal justice, education or how to involve local residents in making decisions about their own neighbourhoods.
As a Programme Manager at YEF, you will work very closely with our evaluation team to make sure we learn from what’s being implemented and that the organisations we fund are prepared and excited to work with us to find what works.
To achieve this, you will:

Make sure we choose the best organisations to work with by assessing funding applications, critically appraising delivery plans and budgets and getting to know potential grantees. These assessments will help you form recommendations to our senior leadership team about which opportunities to pursue.

Work closely with grantees, external evaluators and our own evaluation team to ensure that the activity we are funding will be evaluable to the highest standards. This requires you to support and advise grantees on how to work in the context of an evaluation – usually, a randomised controlled trial (you don’t have to have experience working on a randomised controlled trial in the past, but it helps!).

Build strong relationships with our grantees and provide them with ongoing management and support through the life of their funding. You will also be responsible for monitoring the performance of grantees and ensuring targets are met and any project risks are effectively mitigated.

Think carefully about how we find the best projects to fund and evaluate, ensuring we can best find what works to keep children safe. To do this you might need to work with colleagues to spot where there has previously been a lack of evidence about what works (we will help you with this!). You would project manage these projects so they are excellently delivered – on time, within budget, and to a high standard. You will help to determine what our commissioning and management processes aim to achieve and design grant application and management processes to achieve it.

We are seeking a full-time Project Manager to support delivery of our new programme, Reading Reboot, funded by the Charlotte Aitken Trust, and to support the SLA to grow its reach and impact. Reading Reboot is being developed to address the reading crisis and restore a love of reading for young people in Year 8, in communities facing the greatest disadvantage. This is an opportunity to lead a flagship national programme with the potential to shape future investment in school libraries, in a supportive, mission-driven team culture within a small but influential charity.
The Reading Reboot programme will establish librarian-led social book clubs in over 100 under-funded secondary school libraries across the UK and reach more than 6,000 young people directly, alongside librarians, senior leaders and wider school communities. Reading Reboot places school librarians at the heart of delivery, combining new book stock, inspiring author engagement, appealing library spaces, and a robust evaluation to evidence impact and inform future national roll-out.
The Project Manager will lead on development and delivery, working closely with the CEO, a Project Board and external evaluation team to ensure the programme meets its objectives on time, within budget and to a high quality. They will recruit and coordinate schools and librarians, work with partners and funders, and ensure that learning and impact are captured and shared across the sector. Building strong relationships with all stakeholders, the Project Manager will be the main point of contact for the programme and will support the CEO and Project Board with timely updates, papers and participation in meetings. Successful candidates will have extensive and demonstrable experience of project management in schools or youth settings. Experience of training development and delivery will be an advantage.

Role Responsibilities
Oversight of Spear Programme
Spear Foundation is a 4-week initial phase, consisting of 2 group sessions and a 1:1 with each trainee
per week, in which we coach young people around skills and mindsets to support them in returning to
work or education, and equip them with the skills to stay there.
- Lead group sessions of around 12 young people each, using coaching skills to transform attitudes to their own ability and the workplace, and to raise their awareness and maximise potential in stepping into the world of work.
- Prepare and coach group and 1-1 sessions with the Spear Coach.
- Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed targets, and report KPIs on recruitment, retention and completion of Spear Trainees to Spear, as well as their ongoing progress and
sustainment of work or education.
Partnership liaison and relationship management
- Establish the primary local referral agencies and build and implement a strategy for developing relationships with them to ensure recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme is effective.
- Maintain and develop relationships with local partners to form a strong referral network.
Line Management and training
- Manage the Spear Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development.
- Be line managed by Spear to support with the set-up and ongoing operations of the centre and report back on KPIs.
Church Community
- The Spear Centre Manager is directly employed by Tabernacle Baptist Church, meaning you are part of a vibrant church team and immersed in an exciting faith community.
- You will be required to establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement and backing of church members, and help to establish a strong presence at the church to build a network of supporters for the Spear programme.
- Ensure the Spear programme is a key missional feature of the work of the church; this may involve attending church events and speaking at services.
Site Management and set-up
- Work with the Church to set up the training room and IT infrastructure for the new Spear Centre in advance of opening.
- Liaise with relevant staff locally for on-site issues and work to resolve them as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies.
- Other relevant ad hoc church responsibilities from time to time.

- An active Christian, dedicated to representing the values and ethos of Spear and Tabernacle Baptist Church. A commitment to grow and learn spiritually and as a Christian leader.
- Passion for social justice, especially supporting young people in employment or education
- A dynamic and engaging individual with an enthusiasm for and experience of group and 1-1 coaching and training.
- An entrepreneurial and ambitious individual who enjoys starting new projects, works well under pressure and can translate ideas into practice with creativity.
- Self-motivated with strong leadership, management and organisational skills with the ability to exercise initiative and prioritise workload.

We have created an exciting new position in our UK team for an ambitious and confident relationship fundraiser to contribute to ambitious fundraising targets and enable Human Practice Foundation’s (HPF) impactful education programmes. Working closely with the UK Country Manager, the position will build on existing relationships with individuals who make significant personal donations, aiming to grow their contributions, as well as making approaches to new prospects, through compelling, donor-centred approaches and excellent stewardship.
We are seeking a motivated, creative and confident individual, who thrives on getting out and about and meeting with supporters and can work proactively within a small team.You will have experience of securing gifts from high net-worth individuals making gifts privately or through family trusts, donor advised funds and corporations.

Conditions and Benefits:
- Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 (£40,000 - £45,000 FTE)
- Part time (3 days/week).
- 27 days holiday (pro rata) + bank holidays
- Remote working/home-based, accessible for travel to London for meetings. Occasional travel to Copenhagen.
- Flexibility to work outside of normal ‘office’ hours for events and meetings.
- Reports to UK Country Manager.
- Works closely with other colleagues across HPF and with committed and well-connected HPF Boards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Donor Identification, solicitation and management
- Work with the UK Country Manager to grow the donor portfolio in the UK by identifying prospects, building relationships and secure gifts from high net-worth individuals and other philanthropic donors.
- Identify and deliver unique stewardship and cultivation opportunities for donors.
- Manage a portfolio of major donors through various personalised approaches, including face-to-face meetings, phone calls, events and written and verbal communications.
- Ensure excellent and timely response to enquiries and stewardship and acknowledgement of gifts.
Events coordination
- Work with the UK Country Manager to help shape and deliver events and other engagement opportunities to generate income, cultivate and steward donors.
- Take responsibility for tailored and timely event follow-up to maximise relationships and using learnings and data from past events to develop donor engagement, referrals and gifts.
Research, communications and administration
- Research potential new donors and funding streams.
- Support the production of proposals, pitches, reports and general supporter communications.
- Use Salesforce to manage the accurate recording of interactions and progression related to all donor relationships
- Provide executive assistance to the UK Country Manager and senior stakeholders in relation to scheduling supporter meetings, drafting communications and provision of information to underpin successful supporter engagement.
- Maintain strong knowledge and understanding of HPF’s programmes.
- Carry out administrative activities and other duties, as required, to maximise fundraising.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Experience developing relationships with and securing funding from high-net-worth individuals and other philanthropic donors.
- Entrepreneurial approach to relationship management and creating new fundraising initiatives.
- Experience in coordination and delivery of bespoke, high-quality events for influential audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, and a proactive networker, able to act as a spokesperson and ambassador for HPF.
- Experience of writing inspiring, emotive, and technically fundraising communications and materials tailored to a major donor audience.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills to prioritise and manage own workload.
- Results driven self-starter, able to operate independently and under pressure, whilst also able to engage meaningfully in a virtual team.
- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels, across multiple teams and geographies.
- Strong IT skills, including an understanding of CRM systems.
- Strong affinity with HPF mission, values and approach.
Desirable:
- Experience working in an international organisation.
- Experience working with a fundraising board or high value committee.
