The Countess of Brecknock Hospice Charity is now seeking an experienced and inspirational Deputy Charity Director & Fundraiser to help shape and grow our future. This is a pivotal new role, created at an exciting moment of expansion, and offers the opportunity to significantly increase our fundraising capacity, strengthen our impact and deepen our reach across the community.

If you are a strategic, hands-on fundraising leader with a strong track record of income growth across a variety of streams, we would love to hear from you. Role: Deputy Charity Director & Fundraiser
Location: Offices based at the Countess of Brecknock Hospice in Andover, with some flexibility for hybrid working
Salary: circa £50,000 per annum depending on experience
Contract: Full-time, permanent (35 hours per week)

Amongst other criteria, the successful candidate will have:

• A proven track record of successful income generation across multiple fundraising streams, ideally including major donors, events, trusts and foundations, legacies, corporate partnerships and community fundraising.
• A proactive and strategic mindset, with the ability to spot opportunities, shape compelling cases for support, and deliver results.
• The confidence to operate at a senior level and deputise for the Charity Director when needed.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to build meaningful, lasting relationships with supporters, donors and volunteers.
• A deep connection to the mission of hospice care, and a commitment to our values of compassion, dignity and respect.

We are looking for:

The Project Manager will have strong organisation and project management skills, including budget management and KPI monitoring and reporting. They need to maintain regular communications with stakeholders and be confident in reporting progress, both face to face and in written report form. The ability to develop and maintain extensive positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is essential to the role.

We are seeking an individual with a solution focussed attitude to problem solving and the ability to balance and prioritise competing demands in a busy function. A successful track record of managing complex projects is essential. An understanding of education and school centred programmes would be a distinct advantage.

About the role

You’ll empower your clients to take actions for themselves or will advocate on their behalf for better service, support and outcomes, so they can live their life with Parkinson's in the way they choose.

You’ll deliver tailored information and support through a range of channels including telephone, video and email and, where appropriate, home visits and in community settings.

You’ll be responsible for building excellent relationships with healthcare professionals and other relevant agencies, as well as our network of volunteers and groups.

Job Title: Eastern European Floating Support Worker 

Location: Hybrid working with a requirement to occasionally work at Head Office (Vauxhall, London) and co-locations across London

We are recruiting for Floating Support Worker who will support the Ascent Pan London Service in building sustainable referral pathways and joint working protocols with a range of partners working with survivors of domestic abuse

You will provide capacity-building in the form of advice, advocacy, support, and briefings across the London boroughs to statutory agencies and community organizations around the needs of Eastern European domestic abuse survivors, to embed best practice across our communities. 

It is desirable for candidates to be proficient in one or more Eastern European languages.

You will have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to women as well as up-to-date knowledge of legislation relating to survivors of gender-based violence. You will have excellent casework skills, good written and verbal communication skills, clear professional boundaries and be a proactive team player. All candidates must demonstrate a commitment to the feminist values of empowerment and equality which underpin all of our work. 

The post holder will provide a high-quality personal welfare support service to Eastern European survivors of domestic abuse and other forms of violence and abuse and their children. The post holder will empower Eastern European survivors by providing them with emotional and practical support, including support to access safe accommodation.

Specialist Support Workers help to enable vulnerable customers living at the scheme to manage their tenancies, mental/ physical health and wellbeing and assist them to move to social housing within the community. It is a step-down service with a short licence tenancy up to 28 days.

The shift pattern for this role consist of: early shift 9am to 5pm and late shift 12pm to 8pm. Weekends and bank holidays 9am to 5pm

What you'll do:
* Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Manager
* Conducting regular flat checks and medication spot checks.
* Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions

* Support customers to access local activities and services to maintain and improve health and well-being, avoid hospital admission, support to access and maximise welfare benefits

* Link customers immediately with Green House to secure appropriate accommodation. Maintain regular contact with Green House.
* Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community in Hackney

In this role you will provide mental health statutory and non-statutory advocacy support, including non-instructed advocacy to eligible people living in Tower Hamlets.
