Fantastic opportunity at Age UK for an experienced direct marketing professional! Based in the Loyalty Team, this Direct Marketing Manager role will be responsible for stewarding donors by delivering excellent supporter experiences on a mass level across a number of channels. Working with a range of stakeholders, you'll bring project management skills, data fluency and a strategic mindset to design journeys which deepen Age UK's relationships with our charity audiences, growing income across cash, regular giving and in memory support.
We operate a hybrid-working model, a blend of home and office working. This role will include regular days working from our London office (EC3N 2LB) - currently once a week on a Thursday and may involve occasional travel, including some overnight stays. Travel costs to the London office are the responsibility of the postholder and are not covered by the charity.

Community Alcohol Partnerships (CAP) is looking to engage the services of a results-oriented consultant with great people skills to set up CAP projects in high harm areas.
About Us
CAP sets up and supports local partnerships that aim to reduce alcohol harm in children and young people, improve their health and well-being and enhance their communities. Our mission is to create an alcohol-free childhood for all children and young people.
Role Overview
The successful applicant will have a track record of building effective partnerships, the people and communication skills to involve and engage a wide range of local stakeholders and the leadership and project management skills to support projects through each phase of their lifecycle including baseline evaluation, action plan delivery, post intervention evaluation and maintenance/sustainment. After a short familiarisation period the successful applicant will be expected to oversee fast-track development of new CAPs in priority areas and take responsibility for all aspects of their management with minimal supervision.
A key requisite of the role will be the ability to forge effective public/private sector partnerships between statutory agencies, schools, youth charities and retailers following the CAP model and evaluation framework. The successful applicant may come from a police, public health, education, local authority or other relevant background.
Key Responsibilities
· Proactively identify opportunities for new CAPs and facilitate set up of new CAPs in priority areas.
· Ensure that all new CAP projects carry out appropriate and timely interventions and evaluate all activity in line with the CAP evaluation toolkit – including a baseline and post intervention evaluation.
· Raise the profile of CAPs in the North East of England and ensure that their impact is recognised by key stakeholders.
Specific duties to include the following:
o Represent CAP at all operational meetings.
o Ensure that Retail of Alcohol Standards Group (RASG) member companies play a full delivery role in each CAP where they operate as businesses.
o Liaise as appropriate with strategic leads within local enforcement authorities and other partner organisations to initiate and complete agreed actions.
o Encourage all projects to achieve positive local media coverage including via social media and regional news/broadcast media.
o Ensure that all projects carry out as a minimum a baseline (pre-CAP) evaluation and post intervention evaluation following the CAP evaluation framework and project management survey tools.
o Produce a monthly progress report on all schemes and pipeline activity.
o Attend and participate in regular CAP update meetings on Microsoft teams (x12 pa).
o Assist with event planning and profile-raising opportunities such as MP visits to CAP projects.
Skills, attributes and experience
- Essential to the role will be the ability to persuade key stakeholders at local and national level of the need to address underage drinking problems and to facilitate effective and dynamic local partnerships involving any/all of the following sectors: local authorities, education, child protection, social services, public health, police, retailers and licensing.
- Excellent organisational and sound project management skills.
- Great people skills with the ability to build consensus and motivate partners to play a role in timely delivery of an agreed action plan.
- Act as an ambassador for CAP at meetings and events including parliamentary events.
- Excellent presentation and all-round communication skills.
- Capable administrator with the ability to keep accurate records including data collection around outputs and impact evaluation.
Remuneration: Consultancy fee of £320 per day depending on experience. Work will depend on ability to generate interest in setting up new CAPs but we anticipate as a guideline engaging a minimum of 3 days of consultancy per week. About us:
The Choir with No Name runs choirs and builds joyful singing communities with people impacted by homelessness and marginalisation, around the UK. We currently have choirs in Birmingham, Liverpool, London, Brighton, Coventry, Cardiff and Sheffield.
We were founded on the premise that singing makes you feel good - it helps you to build confidence, skills and genuine, long-lasting friendships. Our choir members are people who have experienced homelessness, or who are going through a tough time in their lives. Our choirs are a supportive, safe space for people to be among friends, where they can experience the joy of singing together, have fun, build confidence and skills, and feel more able to tackle life's other challenges, such as securing housing or finding work.
What we do is simple: our choirs meet once a week for a cuppa and a catch up, we then sing our hearts out for an hour and a half and sit down together afterwards for a hot meal cooked by volunteers.
We perform regularly at a whole load of different places, including local homeless hostels, community festivals and world-class venues, such as the Cadogan Hall and Brighton Dome. Gigs are a highlight for everyone at the Choir with No Name, offering members something to work towards together and feel proud of, showcasing their many talents to the world. The thrill of performing in front of appreciative audiences in inspirational venues can instil a sense of purpose and self-worth that may have been lost along the way.
We also deliver community projects for people at risk of homelessness, or who are experiencing related issues (such as mental health challenges, drug and alcohol addiction, refugees and asylum seekers) in each of the cities where we work, motivated by a desire to share the joy of singing with as many people experiencing isolation and marginalisation as possible, and hopefully recruit a few more choir members along the way!
About the role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and creative manager for our London choir involving people impacted by homelessness. You’ll be part of a supportive team at CWNN and will work closely with our choir director to deliver fun, inclusive, welcoming rehearsals and gigs throughout the year.
This is an exciting and varied role working with our choir members and volunteers to support the safe running of weekly rehearsals, as well as delivering regular gigs and outreach workshops across London (and beyond!). You will need to be available to attend Monday night rehearsals in Stoke Newington London and have an understanding of working with people who have experienced complex trauma. We are looking for someone with impeccable organisational skills and the ability to multitask, as well the ability to take a creative approach to delivering inclusive group activities. Experience in volunteer and project/event management is desirable, as is a love of music and an understanding of the positive impact of singing together.

About the role
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate Fundraising Community Coordinator to join our virtual events team. You will play a crucial part in managing the online communities for our month-long Virtual Events, ensuring an exceptional experience for our dedicated supporters.
As the Fundraising Community Coordinator you will be responsible for posting on our online communities, supporting the Virtual Events Assistant to create engaging content that will inspire and uplift our supporters and driving positive interactions within the community. You will actively engage with supporter posts, promptly responding to inquiries, moderating the community and extending warm welcomes to new members.
You will also assist with the development of the supporter experience, including helping to improve fundraising resources, creating FAQ’s and gathering compelling case studies to further drive support. Additionally, you will provide administrative support to the whole team, acknowledging donations, and offering an exceptional experience to our event supporters via phone, SMS email and social media becoming a fundraising expert within the Mass Participation Team.
To succeed in this role will have a proven track record of building positive relationships, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will have experience of following processes and have strong organisational and planning skills. Experience in managing online communities and utilising databases will be highly beneficial. Above all, we are seeking a candidate with an adaptable and proactive “can-do” attitude.

As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.
CCT has an international award-winning reputation in heritage conservation and regeneration. All churches in our care are listed, mostly Grade I and II*, and some are Scheduled Ancient Monuments.

Overall job purpose
This is a fundamental role within our South regional team, internally the role is known as Local Community Officer.
The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on communities supporting their local CCT church with funds, events, inspiring interpretation, visitor services and preventive conservation. The Local Community Officer will engage and support communities and volunteers to care for 29 historic churches across Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, ensuring each site achieves agreed standards.
