The Role
As Community Coordinator, your role will focus on the growth and sustainability of the FareShare Go programme; through maximising relationships and adding value to create the best experience for our charity community. The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator, with an approachable nature who will play a vital role in developing and maintaining charity and food partner relationships, together with raising awareness of FareShare Go across your local area.
The Community Coordinator will work across their designated area, with the following key outcomes:
- Charity recruitment and onboarding. Community Coordinators are responsible for maintaining and increasing the number of charities collecting from food partners in the CC’s area, by generating leads through their local networks and research, working with the Regional Support Team to guide charities through the FareShare Go onboarding process and matching charity needs to available food sources in their local area using the ‘right charity-right store’ principle.
- Charity account management. Community Coordinators manage relations with all the charities in their area, in collaboration with the Fareshare Go Customer Support Team, to ensure the best possible experience for their charities. CCs conduct charity account reviews in person or remotely, with all their charities at least once a year, carry out annual Food Safety Checks and follow up food safety or contract breaches to ensure that the FareShare Go programme delivers the very highest levels of food safety assurance for our food and charity partners.
- Food partner account management. Community Coordinators manage relations with food partner outlets in their area, working closely with the Escalated Customer Support Team to resolve issues between charities and outlets by visiting stores and restaurants to collaboratively fix problems and promote engagement by food partner colleagues. Community Coordinators build and maintain relationships between food partners and local charities by educating colleagues about their charities, promoting volunteering opportunities and maximizing the value of local relationships between charities and food partners.
- Area development. As the territory owners for their areas, Community Coordinators use their local knowledge to increase the volumes and food types that their charity accounts can accept and use, to ultimately maximise the social value of food distributed through the programme. This includes supporting charities to increase their capacity to take more chilled and frozen food, expand their services into new areas or new distribution channels and reach more members of the local community.
- Community marketing and engagement. Community Coordinators are ‘the face of FareShare Go’ in their local areas and promote the programme’s benefits to local voluntary organisations, umbrella groups and zero-waste and food insecurity groups. They work collaboratively with FareShare Regional Centres in their area, researching local activities, presenting at group meetings and educating charities about FareShare Go and the food and other support they can access from our food partners

The Role
As Fundraising Manager, you’ll play a central role in helping Winning Scotland deliver sustainable growth by identifying and securing new income across trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, statutory and government funding, and public sector contracts.
Working closely with programme leads and the senior leadership team, you’ll research, prioritise, and secure funding opportunities to support the charity’s ambitious growth plans over the next 2–3 years. You’ll also develop strong relationships with funders, write compelling funding applications, and provide excellent stewardship and reporting.
You’ll focus on growing income from institutional and corporate sources, while senior leaders continue to manage high-value individual donor relationships, allowing you to concentrate on developing strong pipelines and managing effective bids.
About You
You’ll be a skilled and motivated fundraiser with a solid understanding of the Scottish and wider UK funding landscape.
You’ll have:
- A proven track record of securing income from trusts, foundations, corporates and/or statutory sources
- Strong bid-writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex programme work into persuasive proposals

Ideally, you will also bring:

Job Title: Deputy Service Manager
Location: Based within the Non-residential service in Wembley, working within communities, homes, and other residentials. This service does have step free access.
Salary: £31,700
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday on a rota working 09:00 - 17:00, hours may be extended 08:00 - 18:00. You may also be required to work weekends, evenings, and bank holidays. You will also take part in our out of hours on call rota for managers.
About the role
This is a great opportunity for a Deputy Service Manager to join our team based in Wembley. You will support the Service Manager to ensure high quality service delivery, being a key contact for staff, helping them feel supported, skilled, and empowered within their roles. In this role you will be based within a service which is at the heart of delivering person-centred support to vulnerable adults who have been, or are at risk of homelessness.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle
- Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service
- Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed
- Financial Management, including petty cash and budget management
- Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.
About you
We are seeking a passionate, driven and motivated colleague to help lead our service in a trauma informed and inclusive way. Someone who is knowledgeable in the needs of our residents, particularly around homelessness and complex needs, able to support the team in delivering their daily duties. You will be driven with passion for what we do, and be able to work flexibly to meet service needs, providing new ideas and opportunities to develop the service further to continue to achieve excellence!
- Understanding of homelessness and complex needs of people from different backgrounds

Funding Policy and Practice Manager – Two permanent roles
The National Lottery Community Fund is seeking to build the capacity and capability of its Funding Policy and Practice team with several new Funding Policy and Practice Manager roles.
The Funding Policy and Practice Manager role is housed in the Funding Policy and Practice team within the Funding Strategy, Innovation and UK Directorate. The team is responsible for ensuring our Fund-wide funding policy and internal practice delivers our It Starts with Community strategy, enabling funding that makes the greatest possible difference to communities, whilst recognising the wider regulatory and strategic considerations associated with the distribution of public money.
Working with the Head of Funding Policy and Practice, you will play a key role in developing our Fund-wide funding policy and practice which supports five distinct funding portfolios: Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, England and the UK portfolio that spans the four countries.
You will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that our funding policies, which set the direction on who we fund and what we fund are fit for purpose. You will also support developing our funding mechanisms, the how we fund, and deliver some aspects of regulatory compliance such as our Funding Controls Framework. The practice aspect of the role will see you developing guidance and supporting funding teams to turn policy considerations into practical realities for our funding colleagues, customers and the wider civil society sector.
You will help to ensure that our funding policy and practice is “for everyone”: we’re looking for someone who recognises that our commitment to equity and fairness in our grant making flows through all we do.
You will have an eye for identifying internal and external insight that has the potential to inform our policy and practice direction. You will connect with internal colleagues and hold some external relationships, collaborating to formulate well-considered policies that are aligned with our strategic ambitions. You will work with teams across the Fund to ensure these policies are established and effective in practice. From time to time you may develop broader policy and practice positions that affect the whole of The Fund.
The right person for this role flourishes in complexity and relishes the challenges of finding the best path through overlapping and often competing agendas. They are adept at managing a diverse and ever-changing workload, and setting their own priorities in response to insights from a wide variety of sources, including our grant-holders, colleagues, senior management team, and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Revising existing or developing new funding policy and practice positions and guidance within governance frameworks.
- Managing policy and practice relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that our position and practice is robust and delivering our It Starts with Community strategy.
- Developing policy and practice around our funding mechanisms.
- Providing advice to colleagues to ensure they are operating within our policy and practice positions.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance such as through our Funding Control Framework.
- Representing the Fund at external meetings.
- Exploring developments in philanthropy and civil society to help improve The Fund’s grantmaking.

The Group Volunteer Manager will report directly into the Deputy Director of People & Organisational Development.
The role will play a key part in recruiting, attracting and retaining St Giles volunteer workforce. They will lead and manage the volunteer lifecycle from start to end as well as providing ongoing support to Volunteer Leads and ensuring we are complaint with all procedures including safeguarding.
The Group Volunteer Manager will play a pivotal role in designing and enhancing St Giles volunteering initiatives.
