Purpose of the job

This includes building and sustaining a team to reduce diffuse pollution, increase biodiversity, improve water quality, and support agricultural businesses to deliver environmental improvement works and nature friendly farming practices.
The postholder requires operational experience and knowledge at catchment scale as well as project and people management experience. They will take a strategic overview of the programme and guide our growth in the thematical and geographical area, with a particular focus on the following outcomes.
- Work with 20 farmers each year to reduce diffuse pollution at source and flood risk.
- Offer advice on nature-based solutions and grant funding to farmers and landowners.
- Plant 30,000 trees annually.
- Input and support the achievement of other applicable 5-year plan targets. i.e. River restoration and catchment scale monitoring.
- Increase Thames21 presence in the Thames Valley, identifying opportunities, supporting, and complimenting the work of other NGOs and regional Rivers Trusts.
The role is a relatively new area of work for Thames21 and may consist of supporting a range of projects and programmes including Catchment Partnerships, Farm Clusters and Natural Flood Management.
Finally, the postholder will take a lead in progressing Thames21’s resilience strategy i.e. working closely with the Fundraising Team, the Catchment Partnership Team, and partner organisations to increase private and public investment to deliver healthy resilient rivers and catchments.

The Soldiers' and Aviators' Scripture Readers Association (known as SASRA) is one of the longest-established Christian charities supporting the British Armed Forces. The main function of Regional Managers is to bring before the Christian public the work we do taking the gospel of Jesus Christ and bringing a practical experience of the Christian faith to the young people of the British Army and Royal Air Force.

This is a new and pivotal role, responsible for developing and growing legacy income for the Royal Free Charity. Key tasks and responsibilities
Legacy strategy and marketing
- Develop and implement the RFC’s legacy fundraising strategy to significantly grow legacy income from a base of £1m per annum.
- Work with the senior individual giving manager to identify distinct legacy audiences and segments among supporters, understanding their characteristics and motivations to tailor marketing strategies accordingly.
- Work with the senior individual giving manager to develop compelling and powerful cases for support tailored to identified target audiences.

About the role:
We are seeking a dynamic and organised Community and Events Manager to lead and grow Playskill’s community and events fundraising stream. This role is vital to increasing awareness and generating income to support our services, through meaningful community engagement and events.
You will be responsible for managing and developing our annual events (including The Playskill Golf Day), introducing new local fundraising opportunities, and building relationships within community groups. You will also line manage the Fundraising Officer, helping to support their contribution to the fundraising team.
Skills and Experience Required:
· Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
· Line management experience.
· Experience organising and delivering successful events.
· Strong relationships building and donor stewardship abilities.
· Knowledge of GDPR legislation to ensure clear understanding of confidentiality and the need for data protection
· Computer literature, proficient in Microsoft Office.
· Good communication, empathy, numeracy, and administrative skills.

This role will be accountable for:
Supporting the event owner in the successful planning and execution of all events across the charity, including the Families, Supporter and Operations Teams at Scotty's. This will include developing, promoting and delivering a range of events that align with our mission and values, drives supporter engagement, cultivates opportunities for our families to bond, and provides team collaboration.
What are the 3-month goals for this role:
· Can articulate the charity’s goals, culture, and impact, and how the Events Manager role supports this to happen.
· Has a good understanding of the events plans for each team and the upcoming and year to view calendar of events.
· Establish initial contact with key stakeholders, including team members, partners, and supporters.
What are the 6-month goals for this role:
· Conduct an audit of current event plans and materials and speak with at current partners for feedback and learnings.
· Develop a comprehensive event strategy, outlining key tactics, timelines, and performance metrics.
· Identify and qualify suitable venues for upcoming events, ensuring they align with the charity's mission and values
· Establish success measures and key performance indicators (KPIs), analyse event results, and identify areas for improvement.

Located in the heart of Machynlleth, a traditional market town in mid Wales, this shop is one of our family of vibrant and community rooted Save the Children stores. The double fronted beautiful shop is well cared for and is especially popular with visitors and tourists during the summer months, playing a key role in the town's thriving local life.
As Store Manager, you'll lead a dedicated and diverse team of around 30 self-sufficient volunteers who are passionate about making a difference. You'll be instrumental in maintaining the shop's excellent local reputation, while also identifying opportunities for continued growth through community engagement, stock generation, and further volunteer recruitment.
With the shop open Monday to Saturday, 9.30am–4.30pm, you'll take ownership of day-to-day operations, lead by example on the shop floor, and bring fresh ideas and energy to everything from displays to fundraising initiatives.
