We are looking for a Youth Support Manager to deliver outstanding pastoral support and safeguarding across NYO’s national programme. This role is central to ensuring that young people feel happy, listened to and secure while participating in NYO activities. It combines practical management, team leadership and youth-centred insight to embed NYO’s ethos into every aspect of delivery.

Working closely with the Head of Youth Development, you will manage the freelance Support Team and lead the Youth Support Co-ordinator, ensuring that safeguarding, welfare and inclusion are implemented consistently. You’ll be confident handling conversations with teenagers and their parents/carers, managing sensitive information, and coordinating logistics in a busy residential environment. You’ll also deputise for the Head of Youth Development when required, leading operational briefings and representing the team in cross-programme conversations.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting young people’s wellbeing and development through music. You’ll work closely with colleagues across planning, programmes and operations, and be a visible and responsive point of contact for young people and staff on the ground.

About the role

This role will be responsible for providing business support for the directorate to support effective leadership and streamlined ways of working across Income Generation. 

The postholder will support the operation of the Income Generation Leadership Team (IGLT) and assist in various aspects of organisational administration and development. It will support IGLT to define and shape priorities and support implementation of priority initiatives.  It will ensure that IGLT’s time is prioritised effectively on delivering the most critical priorities and that follow-up activities are completed.

This role will need to foster and develop credible and respected relationships with all key stakeholders including in other directorates – to ensure visibility and engagement on high priority programmes.

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.

• Provide business support to IGLT including: 
• Support for IGLT and Income Generation directorate meetings and follow-up 
• Support for business planning, projects, reviews and evaluations    
• Ensuring that all key reports for Income Gen directorate are efficiently delivered – with a particular focus at the moment on KPIs and quarterly reports for Exec, Board and internal audiences 
• Implement and monitor operational programmes, ensuring learning from past programmes of work is integrated.  
• Co-ordinate cross-directorate teams to ensure successful programme execution with timely delivery of initiatives and management of key dependencies.  
• Continually ensure risks to programmes of work are identified, assessed and mitigated.   
• Make sure robust controls are embedded and reported through regular monitoring systems.  
• Facilitate communication between teams to ensure transparency and alignment on operational goals. 
• Take responsibility for liaising with a wide range of stakeholders and contacts at all levels, on behalf of IGLT.

How will I be working?

OVERVIEW OF THE POST

The Youth & Communities Programme Manager provides leadership and management for the youth & communities team and their programme of work, driving quality delivery and growth.

Working closely with other programme managers, they ensure that delivery is focused on achieving the Groundwork GM vision, facilitate learning across programme areas, ensure consistency in programme delivery and explore improvements to the way we work.

Delivery

· Lead and effectively manage the youth & communities programme, including:

- Community youth work, detached and centre/park based

- Youth & community engagement in climate and nature projects

- Capacity building, including coaching, mentoring and skills development.

- Community outreach to support Groundwork’s services to reach their target audiences.

· Ensure appropriate allocation of team and financial resources, that deliverables and quality standards are met and impact and outcome data is collected and analysed for learning and reporting.

Business & Service Development

· Lead and manage the youth & communities team’s business development plan;

- implementing sustainability plans for core services

- identifying areas for growth and pro-actively identifying opportunities to achieve it.

· Manage and grow delivery partnerships and relationships to support programme development, delivery and growth.

· Champion GGM’s listening and learning culture with the team and use data and feedback from participants to inform programme improvement, development and growth.

· Work closely with Groundwork UK and other Groundwork Trusts where appropriate to develop services and share learning.

Financial & Resource Management

· Produce and manage the programme’s budgets and resources available.

· Develop and realise financial sustainability plans for core programmes and growth plans where agreed:

- Preparing funding bids and proposals

- Working with partners to develop and input to bids and proposals led by others

· Support strategic managers with larger income generating opportunities and longer term financial planning.

People Management & Development

· Provide line management for seniors and project leads and HR support for the team in relation to day-to-day HR issues and well-being.

· Be accountable for the team’s performance, development and wellbeing in the workplace.

· Drive the embedding of GGM’s culture and values within the team.

· Support the delivery of strategic workforce development plans.

We are looking for a Community Fundraising Assistant to join our dynamic team and help power the incredible work of East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA). This is your chance to be at the heart of our community fundraising efforts – supporting our amazing volunteers, event organisers, and fundraisers to raise vital funds that help save lives.

What You will Be Doing:

• Being the friendly face (and voice!) of EAAA for our community fundraisers and volunteers.
• Coordinating event logistics, from kit delivery to stock management and ensuring every event runs smoothly.
• Supporting third-party events across the region, helping with planning, admin, and CRM updates.
• Stewardship of a selected amount of non-attended event supporters who have chosen EAAA as their charity and community campaigns like our Christmas and Challenge Badge initiatives.
• Managing contactless giving platforms (Givestar & Collectin) and helping supporters get set up.
• Lending a hand with event set-up and pack-down on occasion (yes, sometimes that means early mornings or weekends, but we will give you time back!).
• Support with the administration around collection boxes and the annual tidy up plans and collaborating with our volunteers and Supporter Engagement team to execute this.
• Support the administration around our In Memory supporters doing flagship events such as Treks & Only the Brave etc in creating mail merges and sending out In Memory collateral.

What You will Bring:

• Experience in admin, fundraising, or customer service (charity experience is a bonus!).
• Excellent communication skills – confident on the phone, in person, and in writing.
• Super-organised with a keen eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks.

Responsible Finance is the membership association for the UK’s Community Development Finance Institutions (CDFIs). CDFIs are community lenders, committed to delivering positive social impact, and offer fair and affordable finance to businesses, social enterprises and to people unable to access it elsewhere.

This is a pivotal moment to be joining the CDFI sector. Responsible Finance and CDFIs are poised for exciting growth following two record-breaking funding announcements in late 2024 which has seen the sector backed by Government and leading financial institutions including the British Business Bank and JPMorgan Chase. This follows Lloyds Banking Group becoming the first mainstream lender to invest in the CDFI sector earlier in the year.

This new funding will enable business-lending CDFIs to scale their reach and impact, supporting economic growth and financial inclusion across the UK. Successful candidates will play a vital role in helping to make sure that CDFIs are supported to build their operational capacity and maximise the opportunity this brings.

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to help us to deliver an ambitious Capacity Building programme for our business-lending CDFIs and support our wider and growing member base. You will support Programme Managers to effectively deliver key projects within both the Capacity Building programme and more broadly support our small team to deliver outstanding service to CDFIs across the personal, micro, business and social enterprise lending sectors. The role requires some working with our members and stakeholders and strong levels of versatility and flexibility to deliver outstanding results.

No prior knowledge about CDFIs is required so long as you have a keen interest to learn about the sector and are passionate about increasing access to fair finance for businesses, underserved communities and people.

The Role

The Project Support Officer will assist in the delivery of key projects and support the Programme Director and Programme Managers in ensuring the smooth running of a Programme Management Office (PMO) at Responsible Finance.

The role holder will support the timely and quality delivery of projects and programmes, including playing a key role in producing timely information and reports, and ensuring the smooth running of programme meetings and boards.

Just as importantly the role-holder will also support the wider Responsible Finance team to deliver key projects and ongoing support to our members and provide high quality administrative support where required.

The role-holder will also be responsible for ensuring that Responsible Finance’s onboarding process is followed for all new CDFIs, to ensure that they receive high quality and timely support at the start of their membership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting aspects of Responsible Finance’s communications activity including generating content for and distributing the member newsletter, as well as supporting the effective delivery of events and website updates.
• Ensuring the smooth running of an important and high-profile bank referral pilot project, monitoring email referrals and data entry with a high level of attention to detail, accuracy and timelines.
• Assisting in the delivery of key work streams and projects, including the monitoring and reporting of grants to support capacity building.
• Supporting Programme Managers to monitor project progress, produce and maintain high-quality project documentation (plans, risk and issues registers, etc.) to support effective delivery.
• Supporting the effective and smooth running of project and programme meetings across Responsible Finance, including schedule and arranging, developing documentation, and effective minute taking.
