We are seeking an exceptional, relationship-driven Philanthropy Lead to build and scale a high-

impact fundraising function for a growing organisation at a pivotal stage of its development.

This is a hands-on, frontline role for someone who thrives in a start-up environment and is motivated

by execution over theory. You will lead the delivery of a 5-year philanthropy strategy, with a primary

focus on individual giving and ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs), alongside foundations,

a Chewore Conservation Trust (CCT) based in Zimbabwe, you will play a critical role in securing the

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Revenue Generation

 Lead the execution of a 5-year philanthropy strategy, with a strong emphasis on major gifts

and individual giving

 Personally cultivate, solicit, and close six- and seven-figure gifts

 Build and manage a robust pipeline of UHNWIs, high-net-worth individuals, and

philanthropic partners across the UK, EU, and US

 Secure significant funding to support organisational growth and long-term sustainability

 Develop and implement creative, innovative fundraising approaches to engage new and

existing donors, particularly at the high-value level

Relationship Management

 Operate consistently at the frontline, building deep, trusted relationships with donors and

prospects

 Lead all aspects of moves management—from identification and cultivation through to

solicitation and stewardship

 Leverage and expand existing high-value networks, with proven access to UHNW circles

 Design and deliver bespoke donor journeys and engagement opportunities

Foundation & Infrastructure Building

 Establish and scale the organisation’s fundraising infrastructure, systems, and development

operations

 Build processes to support donor acquisition, stewardship, reporting, and long-term

engagement

 Collaborate closely with leadership to align fundraising with programme delivery and impact

Partnerships & International Engagement

 Develop and manage relationships with UK trust and Swiss Foundation trustees

 Expand fundraising reach and partnerships across UK, European and US philanthropic

markets

 Work closely with the Zimbabwe-based CCT to ensure authentic, community-led storytelling

and donor engagement

 Represent the organisation at high-level events, private briefings, and international forums

Communications & Proposals

 Work closely with the Head of Communications and Zimbabwe-based Communications Lead

to coordinate and manage all donor communications and updates

 Co-develop compelling, high-quality fundraising materials, including tailored proposals,

impact reports, and donor updates

 Ensure consistent, authentic storytelling that reflects community impact and resonates with

high-value donors

 Align communications strategy with fundraising priorities to strengthen engagement and

conversion

Events, Innovation & Acquisition

 Lead the development of high-impact, creative donor experiences and events to engage and

acquire new supporters

 Introduce innovative approaches to fundraising, including curated experiences, strategic

partnerships, and non-traditional engagement models

 Drive strategic donor acquisition through networks, partnerships, and targeted outreach

across key global markets

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a highly driven, entrepreneurial fundraiser who combines credibility at the

highest levels with a bias for action.

Essential Experience

 Proven track record of securing six-figure+ gifts, including from UHNWIs

 Demonstrated success in major gifts fundraising and individual giving programmes

 Experience operating in a start-up or high-growth environment, building fundraising

functions from the ground up

 Strong experience with moves management and donor lifecycle development

 Experience fundraising in UK and globally

 Evidence of developing creative or innovative fundraising approaches that drive results

Desirable Experience

 Background in Africa, international development, conservation, or community-led initiatives

 Experience working in or with Zimbabwe or southern Africa strongly preferred

Sea-Changers’ vision is a future where the UK’s seas and shores are clean and healthy and marine species and habitats are protected. Our grants seek to support communities of Sea-Changers – people who care about the seas and want to take practical action to make a difference. Through our grants we enable diverse, grassroots and community-led marine conservation across the UK.

Doubling our income to over £300,000 in 2025 has catalysed Sea-Changers to move from a volunteer-led charity to a sustainable organisation with a dedicated staff team. To enable this, we are seeking to appoint our first Executive Director. This new role will work alongside the Co-Founders and our Board of Trustees and lead the transition from a volunteer-led operation to a staff-led organisation.

Purpose of role

As the Managing Director for the UK and Europe, you will develop and deliver the European fundraising strategy and plans and oversee the execution of all fundraising activities in Europe. These activities include, but are not limited to individual giving, major gifts, bequests, corporate giving, and community fundraising.

Primary responsibilities

The job holder will have the following key responsibilities: 

• Oversees fundraising activities and performance in Humane World for Animals’ EU and UK offices. Works closely with the Country Directors and the VP of International Fundraising on the execution of the fundraising programmes. Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and facilitates collaboration efforts across European offices. (30%)
• Manages all fundraisers in the region and ensures they achieve their goals by providing guidance and advice, training, performance management and career development. Coordinates priorities and tasks and monitors progress. (25%)
• Monitors and reports on performance progress towards agreed revenue targets; efficiency and cost-effectiveness (including external fundraising contractors); and challenges or opportunities in the external fundraising environment. (20%)
• Creates and manages the budget for fundraising expenses and income targets. Sets and reviews multi-year and yearly investment and revenue targets. (10%)
• Leads research, planning, and implementation of new marketing initiatives and acquisition programmes, including but not limited to DRTV, face-to-face, telemarketing and PSMS Mobile channels. Establishes effective donor retention strategies and oversees their execution. (10%)
• Works closely with the VP of International Fundraising to develop and execute a strategic vision to grow fundraising income in the Europe region, translating the vision into an action plan, and ensuring the successful implementation and execution of the vision. (5%)

Requirements

Education and experience

• An academic degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• A minimum of eight or more years of fundraising experience with a proven track record in driving significant, multi-channel revenue growth across multiple markets.
• A minimum of five years of senior management experience leading fundraising or marketing teams, including leadership responsibilities for staff, strategy development and execution, and budget accountability, preferably in the animal welfare arena, required.
• Demonstrated experience scaling high-performing international fundraising programs. International NGO experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to deliver multi‑million income portfolios, optimize ROI, and drive continuous improvement in donor acquisition and retention.
• Experience accurately forecasting and reporting on revenue, expenditures and delivering against agreed KPIs.
• At least five years’ experience in at least one of the following income streams: individual giving, major gifts, bequests, corporate giving, and/or community fundraising. Additionally, a strong preference for marketing experience.

Job Summary for Colorectal Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist

In our Services team we aim to deliver clear and accessible support offer for people affected by a bowel cancer diagnosis through a clinically focused ‘front door’ of services. The post holder will work collaboratively with the Clinical Lead to deliver a strategy which will extend our reach to bowel cancer patients and establish referral routes from the NHS into our services.

As our Clinical Nurse Specialist you will work on the Charities Ask the Nurse Service alongside other specialist nurses. This is our service for patients to ask questions or concerns about bowel cancer. You will be responsible answering queries from those affected by bowel cancer and managing and developing the service.

You will work closely with the Clinical Lead to ensure Bowel Cancer UK’s clinical focus meets the needs of those affected by bowel cancer and is up to date. You will also provide expert clinical advice, with guidance of the Clinical Lead, across all areas of Bowel Cancer UK - including health professional education, policy, communications and fundraising equipping them with timely health system and clinical information.

Main responsibilities

• Support the Clinical Lead on, development, delivery and effective implementation of our core clinical (nurse led) services offer (Ask The Nurse service).
• Support the Clinical Lead on ensuring sound clinical governance across our clinical services.
• Manage our engagement and support offer to healthcare professionals to develop our networks and establish referral pathways from the NHS into our services.

Zoe’s Place is the only baby specific hospice charity in the UK, providing specialist palliative, respite and end of life care for children aged 0 to 5 with life limiting and life-threatening conditions. They offer a safe, nurturing and joyful environment where families can feel completely supported. With their dedicated nurses delivering 24-hour care, they work together to make every moment of childhood count.

About the role:

Supporting the delivery of Zoe’s Place overall income generation strategy, by researching, record keeping, applying and reporting to a portfolio of trusts and foundations to deliver long term sustainable income growth for the Trust. Overall accountability for capital projects across the Trust

Key Responsibilities:

Account manage the trust and foundations fundraising function   

• Contribute to the maintenance of a comprehensive database for both hospice sites of all relevant grant making trusts and keep up to date with changes in the sector.
• Develop and write applications and bids to a wide range of funders as required.
• Work collaboratively with the Head of Fundraising and fundraising colleagues to ensure all funding opportunities are maximised
• Manage and develop relationships with new and existing funding partners.
• Work collaboratively with Director of Clinical Services, clinical teams and finance to prepare bids and reports.
• Ensure funding partners receive timely and appropriate information about the progress and outcomes of projects including written reports and evaluation in accordance with requirement.
• Responsible for delivery of income targets.
• Ensure excellent relationships are maintained with current, past and prospective funders so the Zoes Place Trust name is associated with honesty and high standards of service delivery.
• Organise visits and tours for trustees of charitable foundations if requested to both Middlesbrough and Coventry sites.

 Administration and pipeline

• Use our fundraising CRM and in line with GDPR to ensure accurate and timely record keeping allowing for good stewardship.
• Carry out detailed research on prospective foundations, identify and maintain a calendar for submitting applications.
• Working with an income pipeline / tracker to ensure accurate and timely financial forecasting, identifying risk to income and mitigating accordingly.
• Ensure activities comply with current law, guidance and best practice of the Fundraising Regulator

Person Specication:

• strong track record in Trusts and Foundations fundraising
• Experience of working in the charity Sector
• Excellent and persuasive writing skills and a sharp eye for details
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills

What You Will Do
Every day in this role is about people and purpose. You will care for a diverse caseload of around 300 pecuniary and specific legacies, guiding them with sensitivity, professionalism, and empathy. You will build trusting relationships with solicitors, executors, co-beneficiaries, and other stakeholders, helping them navigate what can be a complex and emotional process.
Your work will ensure that all legal requirements are met and that every legacy is handled with integrity. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across the Legacy team, sharing knowledge, supporting one another, and contributing to projects that keep our work running smoothly.
You will also help raise awareness of legacy giving, making connections with key stakeholders and helping secure vital income for the Society. Every receipt you issue, every file you progress, and every relationship you nurture directly helps people living with dementia and their families.

About You

- Have experience in Legacy Administration or a willingness to learn, with familiarity with First Class 4 or similar systems
- Have some understanding of Wills, Probate, or Trust law, or be keen to develop this knowledge
- Be working towards, or interested in, an ILM Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration or similar professional development
- Be able to thrive in a busy administrative environment, balancing multiple priorities independently or as part of a supportive team
- Be comfortable using Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel
- organised self-starter with attention to detail and pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work
- Communicate sensitively and professionally, showing empathy and respect to colleagues, stakeholders, and people affected by dementia

This is a job share role, working alongside a colleague based in Northern Ireland to deliver a seamless, high-impact media presence across the region. You will take the lead on strategic media relationships and activity in the North West and North East England, while contributing to projects and campaigns and media requests across all areas.
Hours: 21 hours per week (Monday to Wednesday)
Location: Homebased in North West or North East England, with travel across the North West, North East, and Northern Ireland
About the role
In this role, you will help shape how Alzheimer’s Society shows up in the media, telling powerful stories that inform, influence and inspire action.

- Lead and deliver regional media projects from planning through to evaluation, ensuring they align with wider organisational priorities
- Identify and secure proactive media opportunities to promote our services, fundraising, research and campaigns
- Develop and deliver media strategies that engage key audiences and strengthen our position as the leading voice on dementia
- Build strong relationships with journalists, spokespeople and partners to increase our reach and impact
- Create compelling, accessible content including press releases, articles, blogs and campaign materials
- Support and coach spokespeople and people affected by dementia to share their stories with confidence and authenticity
- Respond to media enquiries and manage reputational issues with professionalism, care and sound judgement

You will also contribute to a collaborative, 24/7 media function, working closely with colleagues across research, fundraising, influencing and services. Travel across the region and occasional evening or overnight work will be part of the role.
About you
You are a confident communicator with a passion for making a difference and a strong understanding of how regional media can drive change.

- Experience in a communications or PR role, with a track record of delivering effective media coverage
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging content
- Strong knowledge of regional and local media landscapes and how to work effectively within them
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to build relationships, influence others and work across teams
- A genuine commitment to inclusion, and to amplifying the voices of people affected by dementia
