Our charity has grown rapidly over the last five years, with each year bringing new faces and new opportunities. This year, we’re excited to be welcoming a Fundraising Manager to join our team.

In this role, you’ll work closely with our CEO and operations team to deliver our annual fundraising targets, focusing on individual giving, trusts and foundations, and fundraising events/external opportunities. Partnerships are currently managed by the CEO and our Board of Trustees.

We have a fun, joyful working culture and work flexibly and mostly remotely, though you may occasionally need to attend meetings in London or travel for events. Our registered office is in Margate, so if you’re local or fancy a change of scene, you’re welcome to come and work by the sea.

As this is a new role for Not A Phase, we’re looking for someone confident, proactive and full of ideas. You’ll have the freedom to shape and implement your own systems and processes, with full support from the team.

It’s vital that you have an understanding of the issues currently faced by the trans+ community in the UK. We recently launched our new five-year strategy, Joy as an Act of Resistance, which will guide our mission in these challenging times. WCCM seeks to appoint an experienced, creative, and highly motivated Grant and Major Donor Fundraising Manager to lead fundraising and grant management across a global organisation dedicated to the teaching of Christian Meditation.

Working to the Executive Director, you will interact with our decentralised finance, marketing and communications staff and volunteers.  

Together, you will nurture Major Donor relationships and create and manage appropriate donor stewardship schemes and rationalise our income streams.

You’ll ensure grant reporting and management is kept on track whilst developing targeted proposals for new funding from sympathetic donors in the arena of Trusts and foundations.  

You will work to support both our teaching and resourcing of meditation and the running of our retreat centre in Bonnevaux, near Poitiers in France.

An excellent writer with excellent financial and budgeting skills, you will be adept at pulling together relevant, succinct and compelling information for our donor reports and bids.

You’ll work with communications staff to develop impactful donor communications which enhance our accountability and inspire renewed major donations.  

You will have a demonstrable track record in winning grants as well as in the stewardship of major donors.  

Occasional trips to France.

Corporate Fundraiser

Location: Kensington, London (minimum three days per week in the office)

As an Individual Giving, Retention Fundraiser, you’ll work as part of the Public Fundraising team responsible for managing a portfolio of Individual Giving campaigns from inception through to evaluation to generate funds, improve engagement and increase life-time value of existing supporters

The role

In this role, you will:

· Be responsible for managing retention campaigns, coordinating with a number of different stakeholders, both internal and externally.

· Experience of monitoring and reporting of results and other financial data.

· Experience of working with data for fundraising purposes, either in using a database to select and segment data or of producing briefs to do so.

· Work with the Senior Individual Giving Fundraisers to deliver campaigns against agreed budgets

The Community Fundraising Manager is an exciting role at MDUK, that will sit within the Fundrasing Team. This role is central to building relationships, engaging local communities, and driving fundraising initiatives across the region. The cure for chemotherapy-resistant blood cancers - such as lymphoma, leukaemia and myeloma - relies on finding stem cell donors with a similar ethnic background; currently 4 in 5 patients with Global Majority heritage do not find a match.  Through donor recruitment & education, community engagement and by building strategic partnerships, RABC works to increase the volume and ethnic diversity of people who register as potentially life-saving donors; we believe every blood cancer patient deserves an equal chance of finding a potentially life-saving stem cell match.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The charity has an ambitious plan to build on its success and do even more to improve outcomes for blood cancer patients from Global Majority communities.  Working with a group of committed professionals and a small team, you’ll use your existing charity sector experience to implement our new growth strategy as well as having responsibility for the day-to-day running of the organisation.  This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is looking to move into their first charity leadership role or for a candidate who has a real passion to reduce health inequalities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leadership of our small, committed team of employees and contractors
• Operational implementation of the three-year organizational strategy to fulfil our ambitious growth aspirations
• Acting as the key contact for our registry partners and representing the charity among our wider stakeholders
• Implementation of good governance throughout the organization and keeping the board abreast of operational progress, challenges and opportunities
• Financial and budgetary management
• Leading on fundraising and communications for the organisation.

Knights Youth Centre (KYC) was established in 1936 as an independent Christian Charity. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Team Lead to run our Senior Group Session (ages14-18) at Oasis@Knights. This is an opportunity to run engaging and informative activities for young people aged 14-18 in the Lambeth area, inspiring them to reach their potential and to make a real difference to their community. The successful candidate will be responsible for running these sessions weekly, managing session staff, delivering engaging activities, attending occasional day trips, as well as responding to and reporting any safeguarding concerns. 

Key responsibilities will include: 

1. To lead the delivery of youth sessions at Knights Youth Centre (KYC) and facilitate youth provision in line with the ethos, values and vision of Oasis. 
2. To work and engage with young people (aged 14-18), by delivering planned sessions, activities and occasional trips.   
3. Deliver informal education opportunities and small group mentoring within the identified sessions and the wider community. 
4. To manage and coordinate KYC staff members whilst leading sessions.
5. Record all activity on our data management system. 
6. Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people you come into contact with. 
7. Actively engage in the learning and professional development courses provided as part of this employment.

The successful post holder must have:

· Proven experience in leading youth work provision for young people aged 14-18.

· Experience of managing staff in a youth provision setting.

· An understanding of the challenges impacting young people in Lambeth – in particular education, employment, mental health and criminal exploitation.

· Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.

· Knowledge of safeguarding practices and experience working with young people in challenging environments.

· A commitment to the Oasis ethos and values, including inclusion, equality, and perseverance.

We were delighted to be awarded £248,000 by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and we are now seeking an energetic and experienced fund raiser to join the team to develop our £3.6m heritage project ‘St Richard’s 60:60 – celebrating our first 60 years and preparing for the next’.  We are currently also recruiting a Project Manager and Community Engagement and Activity Plan Consultant and Business Plan consultant and Evaluation consultant will be appointed in the New Year. The project is to restore our iconic Modern building and celebrate the first 60 years of our Church as a launchpad for the future.

St Richard’s church was built in 1964 in the heart of a new housing estate alongside a new Primary School. It is a striking and flexible building with a strong presence forming part of the Ham Riverside identity. It has a number of significant architectural and artistic features acknowledged by its Grade II listing and its timber hyperbolic paraboloid roof is one of the few remaining examples in the country. However the roof covering is failing, and the unique timber shell construction is deteriorating rapidly. The seriousness of this is evidenced by its inclusion on Historic England’s Heritage at Risk Register.  Our goal is to give our church a secure and sustainable future as a home for a thriving Church and a welcoming space for community groups and activities.  Our Heritage Fund project will repair and restore the building and provide opportunities to bring its heritage to life for local residents and visitors from wider afield, while meeting community needs.
