About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference by playing a vital role in our work across the Hampshire. Reporting into the local team and supported by the national fundraising team, this role will be responsible for engaging volunteers both as individuals and groups across the area to raise funds for MHA. You will work closely with all MHA services, building relationships and inspiring and empowering local fundraising to enable those who choose to use our services to thrive. This will include supporting those who wish to fundraise In Memory and utilising MHA’s fundraising products.
A portion of your time will also be spent working in collaboration with community fundraisers across the country on fundraising initiatives and guides which will benefit both your area and community fundraising nationally.
The role will provide an effective and efficient service supporting the organisation and our homes and schemes to meet our vision, values and strategic objectives.

About You
Are you a passionate and skilled community fundraiser keen to play a key role in building a local network of community fundraising volunteers? Do you have a passion for working with supporters, building meaningful relationships and inspiring supporters whilst ensuring your work aligns with the results we need? Working well as a team player you will work closely with both operational colleagues in your area and the wider Fundraising Team, ensuring a focus on getting the right result for the organisation and building lasting and substantial relationships with funders. The Role

Purpose of the Community Fundraising Officer role:
As Community Fundraising Officer, the successful candidate will play an integral role in nurturing relationships with existing and prospective supporters, as well as overseeing a portfolio of community fundraising events and activities in order to increase donations. Key duties and responsibilities of the Community Fundraising Officer:

5. Marketing

Qualifications:

About the role
The main purpose of this role is to develop and deliver our approach to maintain and grow corporate fundraising income, to support our mission to improve mental health in Hampshire. About you
You will be an experienced corporate fundraiser or have relevant relationship fundraising or B2B sales experience, together with a proven track record in meeting and exceeding financial and other targets. You will be an effective communicator with excellent written and presentation skills. You should possess good negotiating and influencing skills, as well as excellent relationship management skills, and be highly pro-active and skilled in generating new business leads and moving warm prospects through the ‘sales’ cycle.
You will demonstrate the ability to motivate and develop your direct reports and will ideally have experience supervising both staff and volunteers.

Our moderation takes place between 9 am and 9 pm, Monday-Sunday.
Different accounts will require varying levels of ‘active’ hours (defined as time spent taking action). You will split your active hours between 9am and 9pm. For example, for an account which requires three active hours, you might carry out your work in six, thirty minute instalments throughout the shift.
As you gain experience, you will be allocated multiple accounts which will enable you to increase your hours worked.
Whilst you need to be on hand to monitor your accounts during 9am-9pm, the role does allow for a great deal of personal flexibility.
