We are looking for a corporate fundraising specialist to join the team at YMCA England & Wales at a very exciting time. In the last year alone, we have launched two new multi-year partnerships and tripled income in the Corporate Partnerships function.
The successful candidate will join a supportive, highly ambitious and growing team, and play a key role in implementing our new Corporate Partnerships strategy.

As Fundraising Manager (Corporate Partnerships), you will:
- Account manage key, strategically important corporate partnerships and relationships, responsible for meeting associated income targets, providing excellent stewardship and delivering growth;
- Identify and develop potential new business relationships and funding opportunities for YMCA England & Wales; and
- Support the implementation of the corporate fundraising strategy, to build YMCA’s reputation as a charity partner and maximise value from existing and potential corporate supporters.
The successful candidate will have excellent commercial awareness, strong communication and interpersonal skills and a demonstrable track record in achieving income targets through corporate fundraising.

Responsibilities
Trust and Foundations Fundraising
- Work with the Head of Fundraising, Finance Lead and wider team to curate specifically tailored funding proposals based on the interests, history and funding capacity of individual Trusts and Foundations, and based on Settle’s ever-changing financial needs and funding priorities
- Write and submit high quality funding applications and reports for trusts and foundations (expected to be in the region of £10,000 - £500,000 but opportunities may vary)
- Collaborate with our Head of Business Development, Programme Managers and Settle Coaches to gather accurate data and compelling case studies to support applications and reports
- Work with the Finance Lead to produce individually tailored budgets, forecasts and other financial documents in line with the requirements of individual funders
- Work with colleagues to monitor the progress of grant-funded projects, ensuring that obligations are fulfilled within the terms of the grant wherever possible and informing funders in a timely fashion of any significant deviations from projections Thoughtfully steward funders, ensuring that they are thanked, and that they are kept informed of progress, key milestones and future opportunities to support the charity, in order to maximise retention, and increase levels of support over time

Planning and Administration

Churches Conservation Trust works with communities to look after 357 historic churches, over two million visitors annually and hundreds of events both private and public. These ancient, listed sites are among the most beautiful locations in England.
You’ll be visiting sites in your patch regularly, encouraging new supporters, holding local meetings, and raising funds to meet each building’s unique needs. Sharing progress through a growing church plan for each of the 22 churches in your area, you’ll ensure these buildings thrive as beautifully maintained visitor attractions, as venues for events and as central parts of village, town or city life.

The Role
As the Head of Fundraising, you will oversee the development and delivery of our fundraising strategy.

The Fundraising Manager will work with others to research and identify prospective new funding opportunities, write and submit grant applications, and build strong relationships with donors. They will have strong confidence in presenting AFRUCA to prospective donors and coordinate and maintain strong working relationships with them.
We are looking for a strong candidate able to develop compelling AFRUCA funding proposals tailored to the requirement of each funder. They must have a strong knowledge and understanding of the UK charity sector fundraising landscape. They must possess excellent written communication and organising skills. They must possess sound interpersonal skills with an ability to influence and negotiate with external and internal stakeholders. They must be assertive, able to demonstrate personal resourcefulness in the generation of new revenue and funding streams for AFRUCA.
The Fundraising Manager post is a newly created role within AFRUCA, therefore an exciting opportunity for someone to make it their own and implement ideas and strategies to support the organisation’s growth.
The successful candidate will have at least three years’ fundraising experience and be able to demonstrate a track record of meeting income targets in grant fundraising disciplines, and growing and managing a donor base

About You
We are looking for someone with a growth mindset, who is open to learning new skills, and embraces collaborative working. Attitude and approach are key, so if you have transferable skills but don’t necessarily have direct experience in a role like this, we would love to hear from you.
Key Skills:
• A proven track record of working within a fundraising events environment and an excellent knowledge of the running and challenge events market
• Experience of working with and through a large supporter or customer facing team to achieve results
• Experience of managing people and volunteers and using a variety of communication methods to an audience of all levels both internally and externally
• Experience of delivering income and expenditure budgets and developing and working to event plans
• Experience of developing compelling marketing materials for print, web and social
About the role:
• This role is hybrid, with time split across our London office and working from home. However, we also welcome applicants looking for a home-based role, with travel to event days as required.
• Delivery activity plans for full events programme
• Responsible for the delivery and management of income and expenditure for allocated events portfolio
• Grow the Sue Ryder brand through the events programme and develop and lead on delivery of a national marketing campaign to promote participation in third party running and challenge events
• Leadership, management and performance of the Events Team
• Development of partnerships with event organisers

We’re looking for an experienced and ambitious individual to join our Public Fundraising Team as maternity cover in the role of Community & Events Fundraising Manager. You will be joining our talented team at an exciting point as we embark on our new five-year strategy to grow income for St George’s Hospital Charity.
