About you

As our Partnership Executive, you will play a key role in supporting the growth of our partner relationships while ensuring we surpass our income targets. Your responsibilities will span from providing administrative and financial support to managing project initiatives and fundraising campaigns. In this role, you will:

• Collaborate with team members on corporate partnerships, overseeing bespoke activities and initiatives.
• Offer administrative and fundraising support to various corporate partnerships and the senior leadership team.
• Take ownership of the match giving process, maximizing income opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records in our CRM system to facilitate cross-selling opportunities.
• Serve as the primary contact point for fundraising during emergencies, ensuring swift action and support.
• Coordinate with internal teams to manage key communications and initiatives.
• Update and manage Save the Children's website Partnership pages.
• Maintain and enhance systems and processes for the Partnerships Team.

 To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Previous experience in fundraising, marketing, PR, or media environments.
• Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to write briefs, copy, and reports for various audiences.

Ways of Working:

About Us

The Upper Room (TUR) works with a wide range of financially and socially disadvantaged groups including homeless people, people with long-term mental health conditions, asylum-seekers, refugees and ex-offenders – helping them to improve their lives and become productive members of society. Central to our offering is our UR4Meals service, providing free, home-cooked food to people who cannot afford to provide for themselves. We are also very proud of our UR4Driving programme, which supports people recently out of prison with free driving lessons in exchange for community volunteering. Gaining a driving licence greatly enhances their future employability prospects and helps break the cycle of re-offending. Additionally, our UR4Jobs project focusses on both client wellbeing and breaking down the many barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged people every day.

The role

Is an exciting new edition to the TUR team, created to capitalise on the fact that the number of businesses in our catchment area is 45000+, but we’re not trying to talk to all of them, just target a few – ideally by gaining referrals and recommendations. So the job is to proactively find those local businesses happy to talk to us, understand what they might be looking for by partnering with a charity, share our brilliant story along with the business case (which is strong) for them to get involved with us in some way. We have made an excellent start, we already have a small number of great corporate partners, and this job is about taking it all on to the next level. As you would expect the role is about creating contacts, networking, maximising the face-to-face time with prospective partners and where possible gaining referrals. And, ultimately this is all because, the bigger our portfolio of corporate partners all feeling great about their involvement with us, the more able we are to raise the funds we need to keep up with an ever-increasing demand for our services.

About You

You live within - or know well, West/Central London, you probably need a job with some working flexibility and want to have genuine belief in the product or service you’re talking about. You have a CV that demonstrates solid experience in a comparable role in a ‘business-to-business’ environment, a role - the success of which, is dependent on the levels of energy and proactivity you provide. This could be in another charity, CIC or other Non-Profit organisation. However, if you have a solid B2B background and want to explore a change of direction you are also very welcome to apply. You are comfortable and confident with working autonomously, you can articulate and ‘bring to life’ your story through your presentation skills. You also need great listening skills so you can build a picture of what each new corporate partner is looking to achieve by signing up to our cause. Head of Philanthropy and Fundraising Partnerships

Our client is the charity for the working animal of the world. Since 1923, working through a series of global projects and partnerships across 23 low-income countries, it has supported the welfare of working donkeys, horses, camels, oxen and other working animals in communities that depend on them for water, transport, agriculture, and their very survival.

As part of the charity’s ambitious strategic development plans, they are recruiting a Head of Philanthropy and Fundraising Partnerships. In this role, you will pro-actively lead the development of their Philanthropy and Fundraising Partnerships team as it seeks to acquire new charity partnerships and high value donors and build on their existing funding base. You will be comfortable with using a wide range of fundraising and marketing channels to acquire new funders, as well as steward existing donors.

Your key responsibilities include:

Philanthropy and fundraising partnerships programme management

- Lead on the development and operational delivery of the philanthropy and fundraising partnerships strategy, encompassing work across the high-value donor, legacies, trusts, and corporate fundraising income streams.
- Lead on maintaining our clients relationships with existing high-value donors and funders, through the provision of exemplary stewardship.
- Drive the development and testing of new means of acquiring high-value donors and funders for them, to deliver sustainable growth.
- Oversee the continued development and growth of their global legacy programme, including the production of legacy mailings, telemarketing, offline and digital advertising, and features, as well as correspondence with supporters, solicitors, and other stakeholders.
- Lead on work to develop our forecasting of annual legacy income with our legacy pipeline.
- Drive the development of their corporate fundraising programme, working with Global Programmes colleagues and partners based in the countries where they work.
- Work with colleagues to ensure new funding opportunities for high-value donors and funders are identified and actively pursued.
- Work with colleagues to ensure restricted income is managed according to donors’ wishes and restricted funds are managed effectively across Global Fundraising, Marketing and Communications, Global Resources and Global Programmes.

Team management

- Develop and manage the Philanthropy and Fundraising Partnerships team’s activity plan and budget.
- Provide supportive and dynamic line management for members of the Philanthropy and Fundraising Partnerships team, including facilitating regular supervision meetings and supporting their personal development and training.
- Serve as a member of the Global Fundraising, Marketing and Communications Leadership Team.
- Keep up to date with the latest legislative and statutory developments relating to the role, advising staff and the Senior Leadership Team as appropriate.
- Uphold and promote their values, policies, and procedures across all work.

Your knowledge:

- Proven knowledge of fundraising and/or marketing.
- Excellent knowledge of high-value donor, trusts, corporate and legacy fundraising strategies, and activities.
- Comprehensive understanding of fundraising techniques, including audience and donor segmentation, analytical modelling, and the use of insight to drive performance.
- A strong knowledge of global animal welfare, within an international development context is desirable.
- Fundraising training and qualification are desirable.

Your experience:

- Demonstrable experience of managing fundraising or income-generating campaigns, nationally and internationally, including in coalition with other organisations, partners, and agencies/suppliers.
- Experience of managing and overseeing high value giving, legacies, trusts, statutory and corporate fundraising programmes, and activities, to maximise income.
- Experience of developing new products/activities and taking them to market.
- Experience of developing, building, and maintaining relationships with high-value stakeholders.
- Experience of line management and building a collaborative, high-performance team.
- Experience of representing organisations on consortia or in partnership activities (desirable).
- Experience working in a charity or not-for-profit environment is desirable.

Your skills:

- Strong communication skills – written and verbal – with the proven ability to develop strong cases for support.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including donors and funders.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to understand data requirements and functions.
- Able to work out-of-business hours when required.

Pratham is one of the largest and most respected education charities in India. We developed a model that can teach a child to read and do basic maths in as little as 30 days for £14. We also have preschool, vocational and women's education programmes. 

We have strong support from the UK Indian diaspora and are in a period of significant growth that has seen us triple in size in three years; we now raise £1.5m a year and have an ambition to at least triple again. Our flagship fundraising event is our annual Gala; we will return to Raffles at the Old War Office this year on 8th November. The gala sponsorship pack is included with the job pack below. The evening consistently raises over £500k; this year, you will support the delivery of the Gala, but next year, you will lead it along with a calendar of cultivation and stewardship events that will help us grow partnerships with major donors, corporates and foundations.

While you will work in a small, fully remote team day to day, you will be part of the global Pratham network. The team in India has over 6,000 staff, and they raise $28m locally. Pratham USA has 14 chapters and produces around 12 galas a year, which contributes to its $30m income; you can share the films and branding of their galas, meaning we can really stretch our budget to put on an outstanding event. 

We are a small team, and whilst an events person is vital for our development if someone wanted to get involved in other fundraising streams, particularly corporate or major donors, we would be delighted to read about it in your application and discuss it at the interview or in a call before the interview—which are welcomed.

All current staff have visited India to see the programmes, and whilst we can't guarantee you a visit as we grow, it remains an ambition. We can offer a level of flexibility on hours, we'd consider someone four days a week, but flexibility and some extra (paid) days might be required around the gala time. We are looking to recruit a Philanthropy Manager to maximise income secured from Major Gifts and to work with the Director of Fundraising on the strategic development of Philanthropic Giving at the Centre. This is an exciting role in our Fundraising Team that will manage existing philanthropic donor relationships, working closely with the Director of Fundraising and Chief Executive. You will also develop a Philanthropic fundraising campaign to uplift income for the Centre’s 40th Anniversary through 2026, working with the Director of Fundraising.

Our office is a short walk from King’s Cross station in London. For this role, we need someone to come into the office at least one day a week, on a Tuesday. A day where all of Income Generation come into the office. You can work remotely for the rest of the time. Equally, you may prefer to work from the office full-time. We encourage all colleagues to visit member hospices to help inform our work and you may be able to work from there.

We are a team of three that sit within the wider Income Generation and Grants directorate. The Compassionate Employers team includes the Compassionate Employers Programme Lead, Corporate Development Manager and the Compassionate Employers Executive.

Working together, we aim to support employers who need our workplace services, ultimately raising funds for hospices throughout the UK. 

The Compassionate Employers programme and this role sit within our Corporate Development Team, within Income Generation and Grants. Compassionate Employers is a key part of Hospice UK’s Income Generation strategy. 

Our Corporate Development Team works closely within and across the department. The focus in the team is on building partnerships with businesses, through commercial activity, fundraising or strategic support. Current corporate partnerships include several ‘charity of the year’ relationships, conferences and events, sponsorship, cause-related marketing partnerships, a supplier directory and a jobs board. As well as driving positive change for people affected by terminal illness and bereavement in the workplace, Compassionate Employers is an important income generation stream and ‘door-opener’ for Hospice UK.

Hospice UK is the national charity for hospice and palliative care. We provide support, leadership, expertise and advocacy for over 200 member hospices across the UK. 

Our membership offer for hospices and their staff teams includes online resources, newsletters, conferences, networks, clinical and advocacy programmes. Elders Voice is a local charity serving older people in Brent. We are recruiting a CEO to lead our talented and experienced staff team through a period of change to ensure our financial security.

Elders Voice is an established and trusted charity in the heart of Kensal Green. We believe ageing should be a wonderful and worthwhile journey, but for that to happen older people need to feel safe and happy in their homes and have access to affordable activities in an environment that embraces their differences.

In this difficult economic environment, we need to explore new funding opportunities and transition away from a reliance on local authority funding.

We offer flexible working patterns, both in terms of hours and remote working. Please note that all employees are contractually required to work from the office a minimum of 4 days a month.

As Individual Giving Executive for Camphill Village Trust, you will project manage a range of Individual Giving (IG) campaigns, mainly through engagement of existing donors, across a range of channels, including direct mail, email and social media. You will seek to maximise income and provide high levels of supporter engagement.

The ideal candidate will possess solid experience in meeting / exceeding fundraising targets in a similar Individual Giving fundraising role. You will possess proficient project management skills and have delivered projects on time and within budget. Excellent verbal and written communications are imperative as is the ability to form and develop positive relationships with people at all levels.
