About Sister System 

Founded in 2018, Sister System is a charitable organisation and an Open College Network (OCN) approved centre dedicated to empowering girls and young women aged 13-24 affected by the care system.

Our approach is co-designed with care-affected young women and girls to ensure that their lived experiences continue to drive meaningful change and shape our progression. Built on proven therapeutic models, our long-term mentoring, accredited qualifications, and leadership development programmes strengthen resilience, confidence, and essential life skills.

Throughout her journey with Sister System, each girl participates in weekly one-to-one and group sessions focused on self-education and personal growth. These sessions explore the social and emotional transition to womanhood while building a supportive network of “sisters” who continue to empower one another during key life transitions. Our programmes are accessible to girls and young women at any stage of educational attainment, enabling all Sis-Stars to learn, grow, and thrive. 

Our strategy 

We are one year into our 2024-2027 strategy to set Sister System on a path to scale our reach and impact. We have bold ambitions to scale across London and beyond. We have been building our organisational resilience, the quality of our programmes and robust systems to collect data and measure our impact. We are looking for a new Director of Fundraising who can bring in income from multiple sources to support our sustainable growth. 

Director of Fundraising - role details

Responsibilities and Duties 

• Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-year fundraising strategy that encompasses diverse income streams, working collaboratively with senior leadership to coordinate efforts and maintain an up-to-date fundraising pipeline.

• Steward high-value relationships with trusts, foundations, and corporate partners while leading grant applications and proposals for six-figure funding opportunities.

• Strategically position Sister System for statutory funding by identifying government contract opportunities and ensuring the organisation remains competitive for local authority and national funding programmes.

• Oversee critical systems and processes including financial reporting, grant management cycles, board reporting, and line management duties while serving as an external ambassador for the organisation 

• Line manage a small fundraising team

This dual role is split approximately 40% fundraising and 60% project leadership and partnership development. You will play a key role in securing new income streams through successful funding applications to trusts, foundations, and public-sector bodies, while also overseeing the delivery of inclusive, community-based projects and representing ECP on key strategic forums and partnership steering groups.

About CoppaFeel!

CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.

We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.

Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.

The Role

The Bespoke Challenge Events Manager maternity cover is crucial to ensure a smooth delivery of our trek programme in 2026. You will manage our flagship ‘CoppaTrek!’ events, which will include five treks in 2026, with a total target of £2.3m. There will be three multi day treks – one in the UK and two abroad. There will also be two One Day events held at weekends in the UK. All five of these events span June – September. You will also be required to support the Senior Manager in the launch of the 2027 programme.

Line Managing two Assistants, the Bespoke Challenge Events Manager will need to hit the ground running to manage all events booked in with their support, getting totally stuck in. Unusually, the Senior Challenge Events Manager (the line manager for this role) will also be a maternity cover role for the same period of time. This elevates the need for clean, organised and focused delivery of our events.

In addition to the delivery of 2026, the Bespoke Challenge Events Manager will need to support in the preparation for 2027, and work with other teams to successfully launch them towards the end of 2026. You will be required to contribute to the budgeting for 2027’s events.

This role does require some evening and weekend work - although not behind the laptop (unless it’s a zoom call to excite all the fundraisers)! You will be lacing up your walking boots, and walking and talking, alongside our CoppaTrek! participants. Therefore, please bear in mind that as part of this role, you will be expected to travel and stay away from home for up to 9 days at a time. The benefit being you get to see some incredible parts of the world and meet amazing people. TOIL is awarded for out of hours work according to our policy.

In terms of the office, it is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office two days per week.

This is a fixed term contract for 14 months. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Event Delivery

• Lead the design, planning, and delivery of CoppaTrek! events, ensuring each trek meets the charity’s goals and provides an exceptional participant experience.
• Manage each event budget, with support from the Senior Challenge Events Manager.
• Coordinate with external suppliers and partners to ensure smooth operations before, during, and after the event.
• Attend CoppaTrek! events through the year.

Manager Key Stakeholders

• Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, sponsors, colleagues, volunteers and fundraisers.

Stewardship

• Ensure excellent stewardship of participants, sponsors, and donors throughout their engagement with the CoppaTrek! programme.
• Provide ongoing support and communication to participants pre- and post-event, including training resources, fundraising guidance, and event-day logistics.
• Acknowledge contributions and achievements of participants and supporters through thank-you gifts, social media shout-outs, and other recognition methods.

Celebrity Liaison 

• Support with celebrity involvement in the CoppaTrek! programme, from initial outreach to event participation.
• Ensure celebrities are well-informed and supported throughout the process, with a focus on creating a positive experience for them and our trek participants.

Marketing & PR

• Follow and deliver a marketing plan for the year to ensure the CoppaTrek! programme remains relevant and popular.
• Work in collaboration with marketing team to lead the acquisition for new challenge event participants, ensuring we grow the number of supporters year-on-year.
• Support on website and social media content.
• Work with the PR and marketing team to maximise celebrity involvement.

About This Job

As Fundraising Assistant at sister charities, ACCT UK and CCFA, you will play a key role in the growth of existing fundraising and in the creation of new income streams. Stewarding fundraisers, helping to develop new and existing fundraising campaigns, building relationships internally within the cadet organisations and externally with Trusts and Foundations, corporates and major givers. About the role

Peaches Womb Cancer Trust is looking for an experienced Marketing and Communications Manager who is passionate about developing accessible and relevant assets that reach all current and future stakeholders of our charity. This is a hands-on, creative role that would suit someone passionate about social media, marketing, and making a difference in the lives of others.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with prior experience in marketing and communications to enhance their skills in the charity sector and help raise awareness of womb cancer, and Peaches, with all audiences within a brilliant organisation!

You will undertake a wide range of marketing and communications activities and have an opportunity to inform our direction of travel. The role is part time, working remotely with a requirement to attend regular team meetings in the Greater Manchester area. 

It is crucial that anyone at risk of, living with and living beyond womb cancer has a clear understanding of Peaches’ mission, vision and support. In this role, you will develop our marketing and communications strategy; planning and implementing tailored activity. You will be responsible for growing the online presence of Peaches Womb Cancer Trust and deepening engagement with stakeholders, ensuring our message reaches the right audiences in the most effective ways. You will also have prime responsibility for managing our social media channels, creating digital content and campaigns that raise awareness, promote fundraising and share the stories of those we support.

You will work closely with our Clinical Nurse Specialist and Operations Executive and will be responsible for ensuring that we have the assets and materials we need to achieve maximum sustainable impact for the charity. You will work within our branding guidelines and budget to build upon our previous assets and materials, increasing engagement across all platforms including the media. You will also work with national and international partners on joint campaigns, press releases and events. This is a varied and exciting role. There’s never a dull moment at Peaches!

Turning Tides is a charity that supports people experiencing homelessness in West Sussex. While our central office is in Worthing, our work spans the county – from East Grinstead to Littlehampton and across areas in between. With over 20 accommodation projects, community hubs and outreach teams, we offer local single adults tailored support to move towards a more stable future. We strongly believe in addressing the root causes for homelessness, so our specialist teams support in areas such as mental health, substance misuse, tenancy sustainment, IT skills, employment guidance and much more. 

The Fundraising team is small but mighty. We shape and support the raising of funds for Turning Tides, by inspiring compassion for people facing homelessness and aim to engage supporters through powerful storytelling. From supporting and creating fundraising events, engaging with community groups, corporate clients and providing 1:1 stewardship with donors we aim to spread the word of our mission to the wider community, inspiring people to take action in support of those who are impacted by homelessness. About the role

The Fundraising Officer will work closely with the Fundraising Manager on a wide range of tasks, ensuring our messages reach the right people in the right way. We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Fundraiser to join our team. Your role will primarily involve building and maintaining relationships with corporate partners, aiming to secure financial support for the organisation.
