We’ve grown fundraised income from £0.75m to £3.5m in three years – and now we’re aiming for £8m by 2028. Trusts & Foundations is our biggest income stream, and we’re looking for a first-rate fundraiser to take it to the next level.
As Senior Head of Trusts & Foundations, you will:

WCCM seeks to appoint an experienced, creative, and highly motivated Grant and Major Donor Fundraising Manager to lead fundraising and grant management across a global organisation dedicated to the teaching of Christian Meditation.
Working to the Executive Director, you will interact with our decentralised finance, marketing and communications staff and volunteers.

About the role
Having established a strong fundraising capability and team with significant income growth over the last 4 years, Kidney Care UK is now looking for an exceptional Head of Fundraising to take the Charity to the next level.

You will be responsible for building a strong, motivated Fundraising team at the heart of the Charity, leading and inspiring a team of 13 fundraisers.
You will lead on developing and delivering the operational strategies, activities and key programmes of work, set budgets, develop supporter recruitment plans and deliver stewardship that offers a best in class supporter experience. You will inspire supporters to raise more to help more people with chronic kidney disease.
You will report directly to the Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications and be expected to manage Fundraising Managers and oversee the wider team.
Over time, you will also have the opportunity to personally develop your own 6-figure income streams and support the Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications across his network of 6 and 7-figure prospects and funders.

We’re looking for a Head of Fundraising, someone who can design, develop and deliver our fundraising stratergy. Someone who can innovate and who can combine stratergy, can lean in and has energy to connect with people, and who sees potential everywhere. Key Responsibilities:
Strategy and Leadership
- Develop and deliver a clear fundraising strategy that diversifies income and builds long-term sustainability.
- Inspire a culture of fundraising across the organisation, empowering staff, volunteers, and trustees to become confident advocates and ambassadors.
- Use the compelling stories of our frontline team and clients to engage, motivate, and retain supporters.
Trusts, Foundations and Corporate Giving
- Lead the development of high-quality, strategic funding applications to trusts, foundations, and corporate partners (typically £20k+).
- Build and manage a sustainable pipeline of prospects, ensuring timely applications and stewardship.
- Line-manage and mentor the newly appointed Trust Fundraiser, supporting their development and success.
Individual Giving and Appeals
- Refresh and strengthen Dementia Concern’s case for support, ensuring a consistent, powerful message across all audiences.
- Design and deliver the charity’s first major appeals — including digital campaigns, local community drives, and postal appeals — to attract and retain individual donors.
- Develop engaging donor journeys and opportunities for people to give regularly, locally, and meaningfully.
Community and Partnership Development
- Reconnect Dementia Concern with its local community through relationship-building, events, and partnerships.
- Represent the charity externally with warmth and confidence, growing our network of local supporters, volunteers, and champions.
- Work closely with the CEO and Trustees to build mutually beneficial partnerships with local businesses, groups, and influencers.
- Oversee the charity’s website and digital presence, ensuring our communications are clear, inspiring, and supporter focussed.
- Lead on campaigns and public relations that raise awareness of dementia and the charity’s impact in West London.
About you:
You will have experience in:
- Trust Fundraising and at least one of the following: corporate partnerships, individual giving, or community fundraising.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver successful fundraising strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to craft compelling cases for support and inspire others.
- A collaborative, ‘hands-on’ approach comfortable working in a small, dedicated team.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Passion for dementia care and improving the lives of older people and their carers.
- Experience of working in a local or regional charity setting.
- Knowledge of Ealing and/or West London communities. (desirable)

About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy Corporate Partnerships Team. Reporting into the Corporate Partnerships Manger, the post holder will work with the Corporate Partnerships Team to deliver the corporate fundraising strategy.
The post holder will be responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate partnerships, stewarding supporters, organising and managing corporate events as well as supporting with content for corporate partner communications.
Key Responsibilities will include:
To assist the Corporate Partnerships Team in delivering against their financial and non-financial targets as specified within the corporate fundraising strategy.
Income generation.
- Management of your own portfolio of corporate accounts which includes providing outstanding donor stewardship to maximise supporter experience, engagement and funds raised.
- To work together as a team to grow corporate fundraising income through current partnerships and new business approaches, as agreed with the Head of Corporate Partnerships.
- Utilise the CRM database to maintain accurate records for data segmentation and for income and other KPI reporting purposes.
- Create funding reports for external partners when required.
- Support and attend third-party corporate events as well as wider charity events.
- Keep up to date with fundraising trends.
Communication and stewardship
- Work with the Corporate Fundraising Manager and Marketing Team to develop a communication plan for corporate accounts.
- Interact with corporate partners on social media, as well as creating content for platforms such as LinkedIn.
- Create stewardship/development plans for corporate partners.
- Create and deliver presentations to raise awareness of the work of the Charity.
- Deliver tours of the hospital to supporters autonomously.
Other Duties
- Be an outstanding advocate for Alder Hey Children’s Charity in line with the core values of the organisation.
- To act as a spokesperson for the charity when required, including representing at external events as appropriate
- Be an active and supportive member of the Alder Hey Children’s Charity team, contributing to the team’s development and working collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers. Attend and support events run by the fundraising teams where required.
- Gain and maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the charity’s work, priorities and future plans and act as a spokesperson for the Charity when required, including representing at external events as appropriate.
