Role Overview
The Talent Set are delighted to partner with a well known health charity on a fantastic Interim Community Fundraising Officer role. This temporary position offers dedicated support within the community fundraising team, focusing on key activities that drive engagement and income over an initial period of three months.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, organisation, and delivery of community fundraising events and activities
- Support the development and implementation of fundraising campaigns to maximise engagement and income
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders
- Manage administrative tasks related to fundraising initiatives, ensuring accurate records and compliance
- Contribute to the creation of promotional materials and communications for campaigns
- Assist with reporting and evaluation of fundraising activities to measure success and inform future strategies
Person Specification
- Experience in community fundraising.
- Ability to organise and prioritise a variety of activities effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an inclusive approach
- Proactive and adaptable, able to respond to evolving priorities
- Competent in using digital tools and social media for outreach and engagement
- Demonstrates initiative and a collaborative work style

As Community Fundraising Officer you will play a vital role in generating income to support the work of this inspiring Hospice. With a specific focus on the Barking & Dagenham area, you will be responsible for developing relationships with individuals, community groups, schools, faith groups and volunteers to inspire and maximise fundraising opportunities within the community.
This is a hybrid role based on the Essex border with East London.

The Role
Deliver and grow community fundraising activity
Act as the first point of contact for community supporters
Proactively identify and develop new fundraising opportunities
Support individuals and groups undertaking third party fundraising activities
Recruit, train, and support community fundraising volunteers
The Candidate
Demonstrable Community Fundraising experience
Experience of effective time management and prioritising conflicting workloads Experience of working with volunteers
