Your role

Role Purpose:
- Oversee Street Child’s rolling school construction programme in Liberia and Sierra Leone.

This is an exceptional opportunity to be at the heart of a truly exciting heritage restoration project to restore, renew and open up to new audiences, a nationally-important building in a thriving but economically and socially challenged central London neighbourhood.
In November 2024, St Peter’s Walworth submitted a First-Round application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) for Development Phase funding for the “Building Beyond: Soane Reimagined” project. The request was for a First Round Pass of £3.1m and a Development Grant of £438,000. A decision was received by NLHF on 13th March 2025 and pending Permission to Start, the Development Phase is set to run for 18 months, at which point a Delivery Round application will be submitted to activate a Delivery Phase. Staff, a Design Team, a QS and specialist consultants will need to be competitively appointed to complete a list of required documents/studies for the Delivery application. Design development needs to be completed to RIBA Stage 3, planning, Faculty and consents need to be in place and all partnership funding raised or pledged.
Capital works are proposed to the exterior of the Church, respecting its heritage integrity, making it more sustainable and putting it in good order throughout. Similarly inside, where improvements will make the Church more welcoming, improving infrastructure and circulation and accommodating planned activities. Works will take place over the three floors: Crypt Basement, the Ground Floor and the Gallery/First Floor.
A full time Heritage Manager will need to be appointed at the beginning of the 18-month Development Phase. The successful candidate will provide leadership for the Project reporting to Claire Maugham (Chair of the Steering Group Committee) involved in strategic planning, management, execution, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. In order to achieve the goals of St Peter’s Walworth, they will oversee design development to RIBA Stage 3 of “Building Beyond: Soane Reimagined” and oversee the preparation of key NLHF checklist documents, supporting on the roll out of a successful fundraising campaign - with a target to raise just over £1m working with a Fundraising Appeal Board, and a F/T Trusts and Foundations Manager.
The Heritage Manager will be a strategic thinker with an understanding of the planning and delivery of major projects funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF). We are also looking for a candidate that will successfully integrate partnerships that are being forged in the local area. They should have a strong background in project management and possess the ability to move adeptly between big picture thinking and day-to-day operations, where it will be necessary, for example, to process their own admin.
The Heritage Manager will have some experience of fundraising, networking and financial management and be comfortable working in a start-up environment, being able to demonstrate experience of extensive community engagement, as well as an understanding of and empathy with the ambitions and vision of the St Peter’s Walworth PCC (Parochial Church Council) and the needs of a Grade 1 listed building.
They will bring an inclusive approach to their work, able to centre and involve the church and local community in the project while integrating the experience of a wide range of volunteer professionals
Their task will be ensure that the project is delivered within time and to budget in accordance with an agreed programme, budget and checklist of deliverables, as well as working closely with all project stakeholders and partners.

Purpose
This vital role works alongside the Head of Philanthropy to help build and grow our philanthropic partnerships over the next five years and beyond. b) Recommending tactical next steps for engagement with new individuals and trusts, for approval by the Head of Philanthropy.
2. Stewardship and cultivation of current and active donors:
a) Developing and implementing tailored stewardship plans, so that individuals / trusts are engaged in a bespoke manner, and that application and reporting deadlines are met.
b) Leading on the production and submission of applications, proposals and initial approaches (by post, email and, to a lesser degree, phone) and following up as required.
c) Reporting to donors in a formal or informal way, as appropriate, to ensure they are kept up to date with CBM and project developments d)Organising, facilitating and attending face-to-face and online meetings with high-level donors/ trusts, including organising dates and venues, and creating Meeting Briefs for all attendees to ensure positive outcomes.
3. Proposal and Report Writing
a) Designing and crafting compelling proposals, reports, project timelines and budgets that meet the bespoke needs of donors whilst meeting the needs of CBM and our Programme delivery colleagues, within agreed deadlines.
b) Working with members of the Programmes Team to ensure the accuracy of proposals /reports, and with members of the Fundraising & Communications Team to ensure consistency of messaging.
c) Working with the Philanthropy & Partnerships Team to develop new projects/ themes/
appeals for potential projects.
4. Other Team Responsibilities:
a) Helping to develop the Annual Forecast Budget for the Team, and providing updates on the pipeline and progress against targets.
b) Ensuring all information, donor activity is recorded and kept up-to-date on our database to fully-inform any approaches / meetings.

AFK is a national charity helping young disabled people develop their independence and find employment. Our vision is a world where all people living with a disability get to lead the life they choose. As part of this we provide bespoke employment skills training and organise work placements across North London.
At a national level, we provide mobility equipment not available on the NHS for disabled children and young people up to the age of 25. The Advocacy and Mobility Services Manager leads this service.
Overall Job Purpose
To develop and manage AFK’s Mobility Service including overseeing the progress of funding applications for mobility equipment, managing the waiting list and ensuring a quality service to our beneficiaries. The Advocacy and Mobility Services Manager will be responsible for providing advocacy support, enabling applicants to secure equipment from statutory services, where appropriate. They will also manage the maintenance and reallocation of AFK-owned powerchairs.
Working Conditions

Line Manager to the Fundraising and Mobility Officer
Close working relationships with mobility equipment suppliers
On a day-to-day basis there will be regular contact with beneficiaries and their families, mobility equipment suppliers and health professionals, as well as Service Delivery and Fundraising Managers.
On-going contact with grant giving organisations and associated bodies.
Principal Responsibilities
1. To develop policies to support the direction of AFK’s Mobility Services, in relation to criteria for funding equipment, guidance on managing the waiting lists and the provision of loaned/ beneficiary owned equipment etc.
2. To identify applicants for mobility funding who could access statutory funds. To provide advocacy support to those families including submitting formal letters of complaint to NHS Trusts and/or taking legal advice. To monitor savings to the Mobility budget, as a direct result of advocacy intervention.
3. To ensure the mobility equipment budget is spent appropriately by developing and implementing funding criteria, negotiating competitive rates with suppliers, encouraging families to consider a range of options for high end equipment and ensuring statutory services support funding where appropriate.
4. To line manage the Fundraising and Mobility Officer to enable her/him to progress applications for mobility grants, from initial enquiry to order and delivery of equipment.
5. To provide AFK’s Fundraising and Communications teams with data and feedback from families and to identify potential case studies.
6. To support selected applicants with individual fundraising, including applying to Trusts and charities and writing to businesses.
7. To monitor the funds raised by AFK’s individual fundraising activity.
8. To keep abreast of changes in the field for example: developments among competitors and pricing in the market; progress of the NHS England wheelchair campaign; and changes to Clinical Commissioning Groups’ criteria.
9. To provide families with information to enable them to make a decision about whether to apply for funding.

Prostate Cancer Research aims to develop and deliver breakthrough medicines and treatments to achieve a world where people are free from the impact of prostate cancer. The organisation believes that it is only through research that we can build a future in which no family will have to fear losing a loved one to prostate cancer. In the last four years, we have expanded the amount of research it funds by four times.
Prostate Cancer Research is seeking a an experienced, dynamic and driven Trusts & Statutory Executive. The role will take a lead on identifying and securing collaboration and funding opportunities with both existing and prospective partners, developing and managing a pipeline of funding partners that align with PCR’s mission and core programmes of work.
Since 2018, PCR has significantly increased income from Trusts & Foundations and Statutory sources, as well as working in collaboration with other medical research charities and non-profits. This is a newly created and integral role within the Partnership Fundraising team to build on this work and will be key to identifying and nurturing relationships with prospective partners and funders, as well as developing and implementing comprehensive partnership strategies to engage existing and prospective partners.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of developing and nurturing relationships with funding partners (with experience of identifying and securing at least five-figure income), understanding complex issues and working with others to identify solutions, and producing compelling funding proposals in support of this work. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build and manage strong, impactful relationships.
Finally, candidates must have a passion for securing funding that will help improve the lives of people with prostate cancer and a commitment to advancing healthcare through strategic partnerships and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct proactive prospecting and qualification of Trusts & Statutory funding opportunities to build a robust pipeline of potential funders.

Lead negotiations and secure funding support from funding partners for activities aligned with PCR’s programmes of work.

Effectively manage project monitoring and reporting for PCR’s existing funded activities with identified funding partners, including regular communication, reporting, and public recognition of contributions (as appropriate), working closely with PCR’s delivery and communications teams.

Stay informed of industry trends, giving initiatives, and relevant developments to inform partnership strategies and opportunities.

Represent PCR at external events, conferences, and meetings to promote partnership opportunities and expand our network, as required.

Database management to record pipeline and enable strategic planning against established KPIs and income targets.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager is responsible for leading and developing RABI’s philanthropy and partnerships donor base, focusing on building and nurturing relationships with major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partners as well as legacy and in-memory supporters (larger funders).
This plays a pivotal role in shaping RABI’s fundraising strategy, identifying major funding opportunities and creating impactful engagement strategies to secure long-term financial support for the charity’s sustainability.
Relationship building is key to this position, communicating effectively with our donors by enhancing and strengthening relations through cultivation tactics and deepening relationships to ensure robust support from these influential stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive Philanthropy and Partnerships (P&P) fundraising strategy to drive RABI’s fundraising activities and support long-term sustainability. This includes overseeing the cultivation and stewardship of major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partners as well as legacy and in-memory supporters (larger funders).
• Report on income and expenditure targets, ensuring targets are met and assisting with budget setting.
• Cultivate, solicit and steward relationships with larger funders, ensuring strong and sustained engagement.
• Develop tailored proposals and partnership packages aligned with potential partners’ priorities and interests.
• Manage, identify and build relationships with key corporate funders, negotiate and manage agreements, ensuring clear communication of expected deliverables.
• Oversee and manage all trust and foundation opportunities, identifying potential funders whilst monitoring and reporting on deliverables and outcomes ensuring timely delivery of all requirements, ensuring compliance with regulations.

• Plan and execute donor stewardship events and activities to enhance engagement and retention. Ensure that donor recognition and communications are carried out with precision, ensuring donors feel valued and informed.
• Manage, track and utilise CRM systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics) to maintain up-to-date donor data, track progress and provide concise and timely reports on fundraising activities and income and expenditure reports. Analyse donor trends and engagement metrics to optimise fundraising strategies.
• Ensure all fundraising activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including GDPR the CIOF Code of Fundraising Practice and RABI’s internal policies. Make certain the charity’s best practices are upheld in all donor interactions and fundraising activities.
• Responsibility for line management, providing guidance, support and performance feedback to ensure the development and success of team members.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including fundraising, communications, service delivery, business development and external affairs to identify project funding opportunities, share donor insights and collaborate and support the development of other fundraising initiatives.
• Take part and contribute to team meetings.
• Actively participate in the staff appraisal scheme and be committed to training and development in line with RABI’s aims and objectives.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Essential
• Demonstrable experience in a senior fundraising role, with a proven track record in securing major funds from larger funders.
• Exceptional major donor management skills, with experience in donor stewardship, partnership development and engagement strategies that build long-term relationships.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of targeting, segmentation and response analysis.
• Persuasive written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop compelling applications, proposals and donor communications. Capable of tailoring messaging for different audiences and ensuring clarity, consistency and emotional impact.
• Experience of managing a fundraising team and assisting with recruitment and team development.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and manage relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
