About the role

You will deliver high quality housing advice and advocacy in line with the hub’s local community priorities and work with people who are experiencing homelessness and bad housing to identify issues facing local communities.  You will plan and deliver casework to individuals and communities to resolve their housing situation and engage with community groups, local organisations and individuals to understand local housing issues and raise awareness of people’s rights.

The role also works in local community settings and with community groups to deliver advice and rights awareness workshops and make sure that people with lived experience of homelessness have opportunities to share their story, give their opinions and participate in the design and delivery of Shelter services. Offering day to day support to volunteers, providing learning, shadowing and mentoring and being a consistent role model for our values are also key aspects of the role.

About you

· You are able to listen to, engage and work with individuals and communities, including people with lived experience of homelessness.

· You will have experience, knowledge of and/or proven ability in housing and homelessness advice and advocacy and are able to progress to specialist level knowledge.

· Have experience of carrying out casework related interviews, maintain detailed case records.

· Advise and support clients to make informed decisions.

· A proven record of delivering group workshops and presentations is essential, as is a collaborative, flexible and professional approach to your work.

The role

Working closely with Birmingham City FC, partners and other Foundation members you will lead the ‘Blues Go Green’ project and team in delivering an exciting, innovative and compelling change programme.  The project will target people previously excluded from Climate Projects, helping them develop a greater understanding of how their daily actions can positively impact climate and our environment.

Leading a small team to deliver the full scope of ‘Blues Go Green’ with Birmingham City FC, Official Supporters Group, Partners, Schools and more.  Developing and delivering an ambitious multifaceted project to get the widest possible scope and impact of all that ‘Blues Go Green’ can be.

The Team

Birmingham City FC Foundation is growing.  The Foundation team are passionate about working together to make change happen.  The role is part of the Foundation Management team and will have 2 direct reports and 1 indirect report, however it will need to harness the skills and knowledge of the whole team in delivering Blues Go Green.

Founded in 2015 by Michael and Yvette Mansfield, SOS Silence of Suicide exists to break the silence around mental health and suicide. Initially a peer-support group, SOS is now a growing charity offering multi-channel support services via a national helpline, mobile hubs, and in-person outreach. With around 45 staff and volunteers, SOS is poised for further expansion and impact and is seeking a strategic and compassionate CEO to lead us through the next exciting phase of development.

Look Ahead's Hammersmith & Fulham Mental Health Service is a Mental Health supported accommodation which is a pathway service for people to work towards their independence. There are 3 buildings in the cluster, all of them are lone-working.

As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting our residents to help them to enhance life skills and increase independence and manage their health. This also includes tenancy management and other life skills.

Support Workers in the service work across all 3 projects in Hammersmith and Fulham; working with customers with varying levels of support needs. Many of the customers have complex needs including dual diagnosis and Support Workers are expected to liaise with other agencies within the borough to best support customers. Support Workers are expected to support customers on their journey to independence in a person-centred, non-judgemental way, whilst adhering to the Look Ahead core values.

The shift schedule covers Monday to Sunday, working five days each week on a rolling rota that combines weekdays and weekends. Over a five-week period, there are two complete weekends off.

About the Role

This role offers the opportunity to join our service team at Luton. Based at our Wellbeing Centre in Dumfries Street we offer activities and groups throughout the day enabling service users to manage their mental health and move through their recovery journeys. In addition to facilitating a range of groups the role will involve assessing individual’s suitability for the service and signposting to local services and community support where necessary, as well as performing 1-1 meetings with clients periodically in order to assess and create action plans.

The role includes the opportunity to support events in the community to raise awareness of our services and build links with local organisations, as well as supporting volunteer and student placements.

Service Delivery

• Deliver a service and ensure outcomes which support individuals with mental health and wellbeing needs in Luton, in line with Mind BLMK’s agreed recovery model as well as contract requirements and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
• Carry out assessments on individuals’ suitability for Mind BLMK’s services in line with the Access to Service procedure and processes and the needs, priorities and support required by the individual.
• Facilitate onsite activity, drop-in and topic based group sessions. We are recruiting a Governance Co-ordinator to join our Governance Team at the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association. This is a key role providing essential company secretariat support to the Board of Trustees, Committees, the CEO Office and the Head of Governance & Compliance. As Governance Co-ordinator, you will help to ensure the Association maintains the highest standards of governance through efficient administration, effective meeting support and accurate record keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Head of Governance & Compliance to provide efficient and effective administration for Board and Committee meetings, including maintaining the meeting calendar and timetables.
• Organise logistics for meetings, including dates, venues, travel and accommodation.
• Provide full secretariat support to the Board and Committees, including preparing Chair briefings, attending meetings, drafting minutes and actions.
• Collate and distribute papers and presentations in line with agreed timescales, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Liaising with senior leadership, Trustees and others at senior levels on all aspects of Board and Committee meetings.
• Prepare, proofread, collate and distribute Board and Committee papers and presentations on time.
• Provide administrative and planning support for the Annual General Meeting and Trustee elections.
• Assist the Head of Governance and Compliance with implementing recommendations from governance reviews, including updating templates, policies and processes.
• Maintain accurate statutory records with Companies House and the Charity Commission.
• Manage the Board of Trustees SharePoint page.

About You:

• Experience of Board or Committee administration, including minute taking and organisation of Board/Committee meetings.
• Experience of working with meticulous attention to detail accuracy in all aspects of work.
• Experience managing confidential information with discretion and diplomacy.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Strong communication skills, with experience of building effective relationships at all levels.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint and MS Teams, including experience of supporting hybrid meetings.
• Awareness of the principles of good governance.

Hertfordshire Mind Network deliver essential mental health support in Hertfordshire, providing a diverse range of services from our seven Wellbeing Centres and other venues across all ten districts of the county.
