We are ambitious about expanding our impact to many more young people and we are seeking a passionate and driven Programme Manager(s) to join delivery team and help us scale our programmes to more schools.

Programme Manager role

We are now looking for an enthusiastic and committed Programme Manager(s) to join our existing Programme Team in September 2024 on a full or part-time basis (6-month fixed-term with potential to extend).  As a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Yes Futures programmes in-person, in our partner primary and secondary schools in North London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire & Buckinghamshire.

Main Responsibilities

You will be one of a small team of Programme Managers, dedicated to delivering excellent programmes which make a positive difference to the lives of students.  The main responsibilities of the Programme Manager role are:

Programme delivery

• Responsible for the care and wellbeing of all students in your schools on the programme;
• Communicating with parents where necessary during the programme, by email, letter and telephone;
• Planning and delivering whole-group workshops for students;
• Planning and delivering information and celebration events for students and parents;
• Facilitating the in-person and online volunteer coaching team to deliver student coaching sessions. As well as delivering coaching sessions to students, where required;
• Developing business and charity partnerships for day trips;
• Planning and delivering the day trips included in the programme;
• Supporting the planning and delivery of the Into the Wild and World of Work day trips;
• Implementing discipline procedures, including reporting serious discipline issues;
• Implementing all necessary Health and Safety and Child Protection procedures, including recording and reporting any incidents;
• Ongoing communication with the school and Yes Futures head office regarding student engagement and progress.

Organisation and administration

• School onboarding, including ensuring that dates are planned, students are recruited and parental agreements are returned;
• Planning and organising the logistical elements of the programme (timetables, activities, sessions plans etc) through liaising with Yes Futures head office, school staff, businesses, charitable organisations and the rest of the Coaching team;
• Creation of Risk Assessments, parent letters and programme-related documents for schools;
• Sourcing materials needed for programme sessions, including lunches for trips;
• Assisting with finance and petty cash where required.

Management of volunteer Yes Futures Coaches

• Managing and developing the skills of your Coaching teams (usually 2-6 adults per school);
• Ongoing communication with your Coaching teams, to foster their enthusiasm and commitment;
• Supporting Coach recruitment for future programmes;
• Supporting the planning and delivery of training for Coaches;
• Maintaining accurate and secure records of Coaches’ personal information, absences, sickness and other relevant information.

Evaluation and reporting

• Facilitating the pre-, mid- and end of programme evaluations;
• Oversight and input of key student monitoring data and impact data;
• Debriefing and ongoing feedback collection from schools and Coaches;
• Ensure all work is carried out in an effective and timely manner to support continued high standards of the Yes Futures programmes.

Programme Managers will also be given the opportunity to support with other Head Office functions, including but not limited to:

• Strengthening our strategy, programme design and theory of change;
• Supporting the marketing of Yes Futures to new schools and customers;
• Developing our fundraising strategy through bid writing and other fundraising tasks;
• Establishing relationships with key partner organisations;
• Planning our future Ambassador offer and other pilot programmes.

Job Purpose

This role sits within our crisis alternative service, Safe Space, which is an out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. The service operates 365 days a year from 12:00 (midday)-11:30pm across all of our boroughs. 

This role is for our Ealing Safe Space, 4:30pm - 11:30pm. You may be required to cover at other locations across Hammersmith & Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow.

Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone on a one-to-one or group basis to individuals experiencing mental health crisis.

The objectives of the service include:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health crisis in HFEH.
• To provide support to clients accessing the service- for instance: signposting, de-escalation, planned wellbeing activities etc. 
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To treat service users with respect, dignity and personalised support
• To raise awareness of mental health services available with the goal to improve long term mental health and reduce social isolation
• To increase self-management skills of those accessing the service
• To reduce the use of police, ambulance and statutory mental health services whilst experiencing crisis.
• To reduce the use of statutory crisis services by people experiencing mental ill health without positive outcomes for the individual.

The Role

The role of the team manager will be to support the rest of the team in delivering interventions on a one-to-one and group basis. The role will also involve triaging and assessing all clients accessing the service, signposting and delivering collaborative self-management plans with clients to improve mental wellbeing. The role will also include line management and supervision of support workers within the service. Team managers are responsible for management of their site; including report writing, audits and being the named manager for the site. This role directly supports the service managers in keeping to a high standard service.

The role

As a Proramme Manager you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Leap’s funded and paid-for programmes. This includes planning and overseeing delivery, coordination with referral partners and managing programme budgets. You will need work with colleagues across the organisation to ensure all organisational needs around impact, evaluation, case studies and other communications are met. 

Taking the lead role in all aspects of the project planning to ensure effective delivery of the project as well as supporting  Leap’s trainers to deliver the programme and ensure that any learning from delivery is shared.

Working with Leap's management team you will ensure successful relationships with funders and reporting requirements are met. 

Role: Finance Manager-Full time 37.5hrs per week (part time considered)

Salary: circa £34,000-£38,000 FTE per annum/pro rata (negotiable)

Role Information

The Finance Manager is a key strategic role within the organization and will be part of the Senior Leadership Team.  The post holder will work at a strategic level and attend and be answerable to the Board of Trustees in the areas of Finance, Compliance and Risk and undertake the position of GDPR lead on behalf of the organization working within the wider Senior Leadership Team that includes a CEO, Business Development Manager, Training and Development Manager and Operations Manager.

As Family Gateway enters into year 2 of its 3-year strategic plan, this is an exciting time in which the Board of Trustees, Senior Leadership team, staff and volunteers will shape the future of service delivery for the community that it serves in Howdon and Wallsend and as it reaches beyond and across the North East with its Barefoot Professional Model of service delivery with steady growth in mind.  The post holder therefore will be required to have a good understanding of the political and funding landscape and be able to form good stakeholder relationships.

The post holder will manage a small core staff team and will oversee the day-to-day financial operations within the company, including Payroll, Debtors, Creditors, and Banking. The post holder will be responsible for Budgets, Management Accounts, Taxation, and all income streams including Grant Funding. In addition, the postholder will ensure all statutory and regulatory requirements are met, Companies House and the Charity Commission. The post holder will also be the key contact for auditing, and other financial needs as necessary and will track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement. 

The post holder will also seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company and research and analyze financial reports and market trends.  The post holder will also be responsible for the management of Family Gateways assets, IT and quality assurance systems and will ensure Family Gateway is complaint in all areas of risk, governance and business.

Key Accountabilities:

• To be responsible for the oversight of all Financial Services including risk management systems and processes within Family Gateway reporting directly to the CEO.

• The post holder will stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes and oversee all IT and data functions within the organization

• Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company

• Understand and adhere to Statutory and Regulatory financial regulations and legislation, including Companies House and The Charity Commissioners.

• To oversee the day-to-day management of the organizational risk register ensuring it is up to date and prepared for sub committee

• To write and/or contribute to the writing of tenders and grant applications and where appropriate collate information to aid the reporting requirements of funders

• To manage a small core function team as directed by the CEO providing regular supervision, performance management and annual appraisals.

• Be responsible for the maintenance and management of the Contracts Database ensuring all information is uploaded or removed as appropriate and that regular monitoring of this information provides information to the CEO and other managers in order to inform sound project management delivering projects to scale, to time and within budget

• To work in partnership with operations staff and The Senior Leadership Team (SLT) supporting the maintenance of an effective IT and CRM system which in turn will measure project data and produce KPI’s.

• Liaise with IT provider to ensure Cyber Security integrity measures are in place and working effectively. Control and Monitor IT access via Role Permissions and Passwords.

• To Control and Monitor as the GDPR Lead for the organization, keeping up to date with ICO registration and guidance and overseeing a robust Data Breach Register, ensuring all staff are trained annually in line with company policy

• Produce accurate and timely financial management information on a monthly basis to support decision-making and to present information to the Board of Trustees, attending Board meetings as required

• Establish and maintain appropriate, robust and secure financial recording processes for purchasing and payment of items and management of petty cash, including Cash Floats, Fixed Asset Register, Banking, and Taxation including VAT.

• To produce and prepare annual budgets and cost scenarios for the Board of Trustees, CEO and SLT and to host monthly finance reviews with SLT

• To ensure timely payroll data is prepared, checked and processed prior to submission to third party provider and thereafter import to Finance system via journal entry. To oversee appropriate pension and insurance provision is in place on behalf of the company and that legal compliance is followed.

• Prepare ad hoc financial and activity information to support new project development plans as required

• To engage fully in management meetings, supervision and appraisals

• Demonstrate professionalism, tenacity and empathy in their work

• To undertake any reasonable task as requested in line with the senior nature of this role

• Adhere to and work demonstrating Family Gateway values and support development of the Barefoot Professional Model.

Fusion Maidstone is a health & wellbeing charity based in Park Wood.  We opened our doors in 2003 and set about developing programmes, activities and services to address the changing needs of the residents of Park Wood with a strong focus on addressing health inequalities.  Fusion works in the community to offer assistance in four key areas  Public Health, Food/Food Poverty, Social Inclusion, Mental Health.  Services are either delivered directly by Fusion or by a network of partner agencies.  We bring services to local people thereby removing barriers to engagement.

Courtesy of the National Lottery Community Fund Fusion Maidstone are able to launch their Park Wood Connects project which is a three year engagement and support initiative co-designed with the local community to support people struggling with the combined effects of the cost-of-living crisis, the mental health crisis, and high levels of social isolation/loneliness in one of the South East’s most deprived communities.  To address the growing numbers of vulnerable local residents we propose to do two things through the Park Wood Connects project:

• Reach out better across the community to make more people aware that we and our partners are here to help.
• Make more services available locally by encouraging more people and organisations to begin delivering support locally.

About the Community Outreach Worker Role
Fusion is employing a Community Outreach Worker who has a great sense of community and customer service, enjoys working in an outreach environment and who is looking to make a positive difference to the local community.

Working closely with a second Community Outreach Worker and the Community Project Coordinator you will be performing tasks associated with community outreach including identifying and directly engaging with hard-to-reach individuals and families, providing responsive and effective support, deliver drop-in information sessions, recruit, induct and train volunteers to support the project, organise and host community engagement events throughout the year.

Act as a ‘keyworker’  for the co-ordination and delivery of individuals and families support with the assistance of the wider Fusion team.
Build a relationship with the KCC Community Wardens with a view to developing partnership working.
Recruit and induct a total of 15 volunteers from the local community to assist with the project 5 in year 1, 5 in year 2, and 5 in year 3.
Organise and deliver 4 community engagement events each year of the project.
Organise and deliver a minimum of 12 drop in surgeries each year of the project in various locations.
Assisted by the Community Project Coordinator attend regular stakeholder steering group meetings
