Background

Scannappeal is a registered charity that raises funds to provide state-of-the-art medical equipment for Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS hospitals. The equipment funded enables a step change in existing services or introduces new capabilities within our local hospitals and community health services. Statistics show that 1 in 4 of the local population has benefited from Scannappeal-funded equipment, which can now be found in every major department. The Role

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Fundraising Events Officer to join our small but high-performing fundraising team. This varied and rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by delivering and developing a wide range of fundraising events.
You will lead our programme of established events while also applying your creativity and strategic thinking to design and deliver new high-value fundraising opportunities that support and align with our mission.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the planning, promotion, and execution of a calendar of established fundraising events including golf days, annual Christmas concert and exclusive black tie events.

· Identify opportunities to innovate and develop new events with a focus on supporter engagement and income growth.

· Collaborate with the wider fundraising team to deliver integrated campaigns and maximise event impact.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers, and suppliers.

· Monitor event performance and produce post-event analysis to support future planning.

· Manage event budgets and ensure all events are delivered on time and within financial targets.

· Represent Scannappeal at events and within the community as a passionate advocate for our cause.

Person Specification

You will be an energetic and proactive fundraiser with a track record of managing multiple projects and delivering high-quality supporter experiences. You are highly organised, creative, and comfortable working both independently and within a small team.

· Proven experience in fundraising event management or a similar project-based role

The purpose of this role is to provide leadership, oversight and curation to the FYT Leadership Team, and to lead the smooth running of the FYT Organisation which supports the wider FYT Movement. 4. Work with the Finance Officer to manage the budget and finances within the parameters agreed by the Board.
5. Facilitate the effective function of the Leadership Team, enabling the smooth and efficient carrying out of the strategic priorities.
6. Provide Line Management support and supervision to the other members of the Leadership Team.
7. Develop, implement and monitor FYT’s strategic plan in partnership with the FYT team and board
8. Engage in practical theological reflection on FYT’s mission and how it is expressed.
9. Attend and contribute as required to Board meetings, working closely with the Chair and Board to ensure that appropriate issues are raised, and that any agreed action is put into effect.
10. Be an advocate for marginalised young people, the issues they face, and youth workers and projects working with them (pursuing prophetic mischief, provocation, and taking up our unique space in the youth ministry community).
11. Make links with appropriate Christian, voluntary and statutory bodies and to represent FYT in appropriate forums and pursue opportunities for collaborative working.
12. Support the active promotion of the FYT training and resource offer.
13. Lead the monitoring and evaluation (impact assessment) of FYT’s work

Additional Information

• The Leadership Team is supported by a contract with Giraffe HR that assists in the day to day running of the organisation, primarily managing the finances of the organisation.
• Engagement in ongoing, regular youth work with marginalised young people is not a requirement of this post, but encouraged. FYT will be flexible where possible in order to facilitate this.

Role Purpose

You will be responsible for building and maintaining partnerships with hyperlocal, local, and national businesses, stewarding the organisations to become Mustard Tree’s partners, and for us to be their ‘Charity of the Year’, donating to and fundraising for the charity.

You will manage an existing caseload of these valued partners, with the opportunity to proactively create new relationships and partnerships, contacting through multiple channels, creating content, and hosting, touring, and presenting to businesses.

In addition to corporate partnerships, you will manage the recruitment and stewardship of Mustard Tree’s events fundraisers, being responsible for the administration, making sure all places are filled, planning the events, and helping all participants hit their fundraising targets.

Main Duties

Corporate Partnership

• Steward a cohort of existing Corporate Partners through email updates, calls, social media activity and booking monthly check-ins, as well as sharing infographics, case studies, events information, and newsletters when useful.
• Proactively build new relationships, ultimately securing new donors, partners, and ‘Charity of the Year’ organisations. Make it clear and easy for donors to understand what we do, how they can help, and the impact they will have.
• Host, tour, or present at a minimum of four organisations per week.
• Manage inquiries, emails, and queries relating to partnerships, corporate donations, volunteering, and events, ensuring timely responses.
• Manage the partnership inbox and work with the Fundraising team on our corporate bookings calendar.
• Work with the Fundraising and Volunteer Coordinator to plan and book Social Value Days for partners and prospective partners.
• Collaborate with the Fundraising and Communications team to develop and publish copy, advertisements, social media content, and create WordPress pages relevant to Corporate Partnership and Events.
• Host Corporate Partners for their volunteering inductions and debriefs and follow up with a thank-you email the same week.
• Manage data entry and administration surrounding partnerships, including communication, contacts, setting targets, and funds raised, through software and our CRM, for example.
• Work with the Fundraising Manager to assign new and existing partners
• Provide weekly updates on targets and expected income, and work to provide accurate forecasting.

Events Fundraising

• Manage our existing events portfolio of The Great Manchester Run, Tough Mudder, Trafford Abseil, October Half Marathon, being responsible for their success.
• Investigate and develop new events to complement our 12-month calendar.
• Empower organisations to plan independent fundraising events and create a fundraising toolkit to support this.
• Support the running of our October Fundraising Dinner
• Work with the Fundraising Manager to project events income and build a 12-month fundraising pipeline.

General Duties

• Supporting the Fundraising Team et al, including administration, cover, and events attendance when required.
• Support the Fundraising & Finance Teams with data entry, CRM updates, and the creation of KPI data when required.
• Work within health & safety guidelines and Mustard Tree policies and procedures.
• Support other staff and departments, occasionally providing practical relief cover for work-streams, operational areas, classes and clubs.
•  Take responsibility for professional development, attending training courses as required.

About the role 

As Philanthropy and Strategic Foundations Executive, you will manage and grow a portfolio of four-to-five-figure philanthropic and trust-based partnerships, delivering flexible income to support our global and UK programmes.

You will lead our Major Donor Programme and Supporting Trust Portfolio, building and nurturing long-term relationships to deepen engagement and secure ongoing support.

Alongside fundraising, you will provide essential administrative, financial, and project co-ordination support to the wider Partnerships for Impact function, ensuring the delivery of high-quality donor experiences. 

This role sits within our Partnerships for Impact function which catalyses change by partnering with governments, institutions, multilateral agencies, high-net-worth individuals and the private sector. 

You will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Strategic Foundations, Philanthropy & Strategic Foundations Leads, and wider Partnerships for Impact colleagues to manage team processes, ensure visibility of key information, and assist managers on existing partnerships. 

In this role, you will: 

• Manage and grow a portfolio of philanthropists and trusts, fostering meaningful, long-term relationships to maximise income and impact 

• Deliver flexible funding targets by leading the Major Donor Programme and Supporting Trusts Portfolio, with a focus on donor stewardship and retention 

• Support the Philanthropy & Strategic Foundations team with day-to-day operations, administration and project co-ordination to ensure high-quality delivery 

• Act as the team's humanitarian response representative co-ordinating with internal teams and ensuring a speedy, and efficient notification to all donors of any emergency activations 

• Write compelling funding proposals and donor reports aligned with organisational priorities and impact goals 

• Build excellent internal relationships across the Partnerships for Impact team to enhance collaboration and collective success

• Proven experience managing donor portfolios and cultivating four-to-five-figure funding relationships

Principle responsibilities

1. Deliver person centred housing related support to clients that promotes their mental wellbeing and independence supporting them to progress to a life without the need for support. To work with clients in assessing their needs to create individual personal support and plans.

3. To network effectively with voluntary and statutory agencies to promote the needs of the clients. 5. Focus on client involvement ensuring that clients have their views heard and that the needs and wishes of service users have an impact on the services they receive.

6. Work as part of the Housing and Tenancy Support (HATS) Team and the wider Newport staff team to develop and deliver activities that achieve positive outcomes for migrants in Newport.

7. Ensure all work is recorded and monitored and contribute to evaluating the service.

8. Work in accordance with best practice, legal requirements, the policies of Mind in Gwent, and the policies outlined by the funders.

9. Share models of good practice to aid in organisational development across Mind in Gwent.

10.  To contribute to the work of other projects and teams of Newport Mind as when required or directed to provide cover or to develop new skills or take on new opportunities.

This is National Lottery funded role in a growing charity representing children and young people affected by the neuropsychiatric conditions PANS and PANDAS. 

The purpose of this role is to work closely with our established Youth Board to ensure that the voices of young people affected by PANS and PANDAS are heard, valued, and reflected in our work.

The successful applicant will support the Youth Board in identifying, developing, and delivering one or more youth-led projects that align with their priorities and lived experiences.
