Work pattern: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend working for events

Responsibilities of our Community Fundraising Officer:
- This role supports the delivery, growth and reach of community fundraising in a defined geographical location and supports the development and delivery of a local fundraising strategy in line with the organisation’s broader income generation objectives.
- The Community Fundraising Officer will establish, implement, develop and maximize all community fundraising opportunities, increase income, deliver exceptional supporter stewardship and exemplary volunteer management, working collaboratively with the Community Fundraising Hub Manager and Community Fundraising Volunteer Team Leader to build on past successes and develop a diverse pipeline of community fundraising events and activities that respond to local audience needs.
- The role will also build and develop exceptional fundraising relationships with supporters and volunteers within the defined geographical location to harness the power of our local footprint and raise income and awarenes
About the Community Fundraising team:
- We sit within the Community Events team
- Our team is responsible for leading and supporting community activites to drive and grow our community fundraised income.
- We currently have a team of 30+
What we’re looking for in our Community Fundraising Officer:
- Evidence of raising funds in a community fundraising environment
- Planning, organising and delivering campaigns, activities and plans including marketing.
- Evidence of working to and achieving objectives
- Direct experience of working with volunteers
- A valid UK driving license and access to a car

Finance Manager
Location: Remote. With the option to attend a co-working hub on an ad hoc basis.
Salary: £36,000 per annum FTE (including London weighting)
Contract: Part time, 15-22.5 hours per week - permanent with time available Monday - Friday.
This role will be suited to someone who is detail oriented, highly effective at financial management and controls in a charity environment, able to support non-finance managers with budget management.
You will be a strategic thinker and efficient planner who enjoys working as a core small team and is self-motivated when working remotely. We are looking for someone who is looking for an active and responsible role in a friendly and highly supportive organisation.
As the Finance Manager you will play a crucial role in helping us succeed in achieving and setting financial goals and objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:
To be successful in this role, we seek the following qualifications and experience:
- Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience.

- Must have demonstrable experience of leading a team.
- Must be a strong communicator throughout the organisation.
- Any additional qualification in charity finance or leadership.
- A desirable and genuine interest in mental health and/or addressing racial disparities in the mental health field.

In this role you’ll be both strategic and hands-on, solely managing the financial controls for this small charity with a £350k annual turnover. You will support the Director and senior management team through your management of financial processes, policy and planning.
This will include using accountancy software to process income and expenditure, producing management accounts for the senior management team and Board, and ensuring the charity reports to its key funders, including Arts Council England.
You’ll process payroll for our small team of 6 employees, taking care of liaison with HMRC as well as handling external audit and company filing.

Unfazed by working mostly alone, you’ll be incredibly organised with your time and workload to ensure processes are handled in a timely and accurate fashion. Ideally, you’ll be passionate about the work that we do both as a professional arts organisation and also as a small charity based in Bedfordshire with altruistic values.
You’ll have experience of working with small organisations and charities, knowledgeable about the areas of financial control that you will be our expert on.
The role is an employee position for one day per week, however we are open to discuss flexibility of working hours and the possibility of freelance working with the successful candidate.

Terms and Conditions

We have an excellent opportunity within the STFC BID to ensure the continued growth and success of the Harwell HealthTec Cluster, working closely with the HealthTec Development team.
Harwell HealthTec Cluster is a world-leading healthcare innovation hub founded on inter-disciplinary collaboration between physical and life sciences. Areas of focus include ageing, drug discovery and environmental impact on human health.
The objective of the cluster is to boost healthcare growth and innovation and validate novel technologies for the benefit of patients through growth and better exploitation of Harwell’s unique combination of facilities and talent.
You will lead the development at the Harwell Campus: working with cluster development partners to support new and potential investors into Oxfordshire primarily through the focus of the health and life sciences sector.
Key Responsibilities:
·Driving the definition and implementation of the HealthTec Cluster development strategy and identifying critical success factors to attract key-players and accelerate the growth of the cluster by engaging in new opportunities.
·Developing and maintaining metrics of HealthTec Cluster performance and growth and supporting a robust evidence base for economic metrics around company numbers, investment, and other agreed metrics.
·Targeting a number of high growth opportunities that fit with the strategic vision, and building partnerships that will lead to the growth and effectiveness of the cluster.
·Working closely with the Head of Innovation and Inward Investment at OxLEP to support the delivery of the Oxfordshire Life Sciences Inward Investment strategy.

Person Specification:
·Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.

Emmaus Oxford is in the process of setting up a digital learning centre to deliver accredited digital literacy qualifications to our companions [what we call those ex-homeless men and women that form our community]. People experiencing socio-economic exclusion are further marginalised if they lack basic digital skills. Your role, as digital coach, will be to deliver the course to companions in a manner that supports their individual learning and well-being needs. The role includes recording lessons learned and making recommendations on the roll-out of further digital skills qualifications and courses
The Digital Coach will be responsible to deliver the Essential Digital Skills (EDS) Level 1 Qualification Pilot Project. You will support companions to develop digital and life skills so that they realise their full potential to find employment and move on from Emmaus when they are ready.
