Join CSP’s successful Campaigns and Regional Engagement team

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications professional to join our Campaigns and Regional Engagement team. You will assist in raising the profile of physiotherapy throughout London, the South-East Coast, the East Midlands and the East of England, and support our work to influence key stakeholders.

Through the development of effective communications, you will engage and inspire Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) members to promote the value of physiotherapy in their communities, whilst also building opportunities to increase the profession’s influence with local decision makers. The role also involves substantial input into CSP campaigns and events.

First class communication skills, confidence and self-motivation are essential attributes for this role, along with the ability to work effectively across team boundaries. Educated to degree level, or equivalent, you will also need expertise in at least one, and preferably several, of the following: stakeholder engagement, media and PR, online communications, video production, public affairs, writing for publications and event management.

*You must be able to travel within the regions specified and be willing to undertake some work in the evenings and on weekends. Homeworking is subject to meeting assessment requirements, which includes a minimum broadband speed of 18Mbps and a dedicated space to work from.

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact head office to arrange a discussion with Becca Bryant or Jennie Edmondson.

Why work for the CSP?

The CSP is the professional, educational and trade union body for the UK's 65,000 chartered physiotherapists, physiotherapy students and support workers; and one of the largest representative bodies in healthcare.

At the CSP, our goal is to create a culture characterised by innovation, respect, encouragement, passion and teamwork. We all strive for continuous improvement and to be the best at everything we do. We aspire to work in a way that embodies our values of learning, courage, inclusive and integrity. Our shared values are part of our organisational DNA, reflecting the expectations we have of ourselves and others. They guide what we do and how we do it, to have the greatest impact for our members. Please visit the website for further information.

We offer an excellent benefits package, including 27 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata), Christmas office closure between 25 December to 01 January and generous pension scheme with 12% employer contribution.

To enable our employees to balance their individual, family and work-life, we would be happy to discuss flexible working arrangements with shortlisted candidates (subject to business needs).

To apply for the role please click on the ‘Apply online’ tab below and complete the online application form. CVs will not be accepted.

Closing date: 10am, 5 June 2025.

Interview date: 25 June 2025, in person at the CSP London office.

If you require any adjustments during the application stage, please email the Human Resources team at Head Office.

The CSP is committed to equity of opportunity, aiming to provide a working and learning environment free from discrimination. We are taking appropriate steps to create a workforce that reflects the diverse society in which we work and live in. Therefore, we particularly encourage applications from candidates under-represented in the CSP’s workforce, including those from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, those with disabilities and LGBTQIA+ people. Please note, all candidates will be expected to actively demonstrate their commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Belonging throughout the application and interview stages. To view our equity, diversity and belonging strategy, please visit the website.
