Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) exists so nobody in Scotland suffers or dies because medical help cannot get there in time. People can get sick or have accidents anywhere and anytime. But in Scotland there are places where urgent medical help cannot reach people. Or help gets there too late. And when lives are at risk every minute matters. As a charity we rely on donations from the Scottish public, companies and communities to ensure that urgent medical help gets to the patient when it is needed, wherever they are and at whatever time of day.

The Role
As part of an ongoing strategy of development, SCAA is looking for a highly motivated, focussed and committed individual to help increase the profile of the service and raise the funding required to continue to provide support across Scotland.

The Partnerships Fundraiser will become a pivotal role for SCAA so we are looking for the right person to take the SCAA lifesaving message to corporate partners and help them deliver a real impact on lives across Scotland. The successful candidate will be expected to develop the role to assist SCAA in achieving their ambitious goals. They will achieve this by developing a portfolio of transformational partnerships that drive strategic growth. The Partnerships Fundraiser will be part of a dynamic team who are passionate about supporting our corporate partners, demonstrating the contribution they make to our critical service through their donations of time and money. As well as working alongside the fundraising and communications team the successful candidate will be working with the SCAA pilots and paramedics.

This role will be based either in Perth, at Scone Airport, or at our Aberdeen base, at Aberdeen Airport, where our SCAA emergency response helicopters and crew are located. SCAA supports flexible working patterns and hybrid working. It should also be noted that this role will require the successful candidate to occasionally work at weekends and during the evenings.

About You

• Experience working in a similar role managing partnerships between businesses and/or charities either within the commercial or charity sector.
• Experience of working with relevant CRM databases.
• Interpersonal and communication skills who can establish meaningful connections with our partners.
• Ability to build successful relationships with a range of stakeholders including donors, volunteers, ambassadors, board members and other senior stakeholders.
• Ability to demonstrate a commitment to delivering excellence and to implementing and driving continuous improvement practices.
• Ability to work within a team, adopting a collaborative approach to working with colleagues, whilst also able to work independently, being pro-active and self-sufficient.
• Knowledge of appropriate fundraising regulations.

Purpose of the job

The Green House’s VOICE change-making project aims to support young survivors and their family members to lead social change through creativity. Together, we aim to break the silence and create systemic change around child sexual abuse. Our approach recognises the inherent strengths and possibility of all young people. This is an exciting time to join the Green House VOICE Project, we have just secured national funding for the first time and are looking for a Senior VOICE Practitioner to lead development and expansion of the programme.

Duties and responsibilities

1. Lead on delivery of the Young People’s VOICE Groups (6 weekly), working with the VOICE Practitioner to support young people to develop group/individual projects and campaigns within each group cycle.

2. Lead on the development of the Parent/Carer VOICE group, co-producing with Parents/Carers and the Senior Leadership Team a new approach to the (currently) monthly programme.

3. Collaborate with the Family Support Team and Therapy Team to deliver regular drop-in spaces for Parents/Carers (“Turn-Up Tuesdays”) and Nature-Based Therapy drop-in spaces (“NBT Drop In”).

4. Lead on the delivery and expansion of CSA Practitioner network for wider professionals, creating opportunities to connect young people’s groups together nationally.

5. Work with the Head of Fundraising and Trustee Board to develop and deliver a quarterly co-production group of young people and parents who can support operational delivery/development of the Green House.

6. Lead on the development of a theory of change for the VOICE Project, working with the VOICE Practitioner, young people, parents/carers and SLT.

7. Work with the Research Manager and VOICE Practitioner to develop our approach to outcome monitoring and evaluation of the VOICE Project.

8. Lead on project management of the VOICE Project, including weekly team meetings, project plans, annual revision of associated documentation e.g., manuals, session plans. Working collaboratively with and taking responsibility for line management of the VOICE Practitioner.

9. Coordinate on VOICE young people led activism campaigns, working with the Communications Officer and Head of Fundraising and Communications towards the delivery of two campaigns per year.

10. Conduct Initial Meetings for young people and parent/carer’s looking to join the VOICE Project – supporting the wider TGH team with recruitment reminders/approaches e.g., attending Family Support/Therapy Team meetings (where appropriate).

11. Develop relationships with our local and national partners to enable effective changemaking for young people and parents/carers.

12. Assess risk and report safeguarding concerns in line with the Green House Policies, main up-to-date safeguarding training, and stay informed on relevant legislation about child sexual abuse and procedures.

13. Maintain accurate, confidential records of all sessions and family contacts, ensuring timely documentation using internal systems e.g., Oasis. 14. Support wider Green House service development, participate in supervision, clinical supervision and training, adhere to Green House policies, and contribute to team communication and operational improvements.

The 999 Club

The 999 Club has stood on the corner of Deptford Broadway for more than 30 years, working with and supporting the local community. Our focus now is on people who are street homeless, rough sleeping or unhoused and those who have no recourse to public funds. As the 999 Club, people who use our services are our members.

The Gateway

Our day centre, The Gateway, is open five days a week and provides a welcoming, safe and friendly space where our members can spend time away from their usual situation and sort out practicalities like getting laundry done, taking a shower, charging their phone and having something to eat. It’s where our Intervention Team are often based as part of their work, empowering our members.

The Intervention Team

Working alongside the Essential Services Team and an amazing team of volunteers the Intervention Team provide triage, assessment, holistic progression planning, advocacy and support for members of the Gateway, identifying and addressing their immediate housing situation as well as wider social, health and wellbeing issues with the ultimate aim of them finding a pathway out of homelessness.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for people who like people, who care about doing a good job and want to be part of a dynamic team, providing the best service possible. We want team members with common sense, who are assertive, compassionate, have a sense of humour and a no- nonsense, positive attitude looking to make a difference in their community.

We’re looking to recruit two Intervention Workers – one for complex interventions where there are additional factors. This would best suit someone with experience whilst the brief intervention role would suit someone with transferable skills but little to no experience in the homelessness sector.

At West London Synagogue (WLS), we have made a commitment to helping London’s most vulnerable residents regardless of faith and background. We work closely with Westminster City Council, as well as local and national organisations to identify where our resources can be best focused, where we can bring added value, and where our teams of volunteers can make a meaningful impact. 

We run 2 drop-ins each month. Our Family drop-in welcomes families with children and of all faiths and ethnic origins who are seeking asylum in the UK. We rely on volunteers to help provide a hot meal, grocery vouchers, toiletries, companionship, and advice for families who have fled life-threatening violence or persecution in their countries of origin. 

As well, as our Family drop-in, we run the monthly 'Rainbow' Group.LGBTQI+ asylum seekers in the UK face the same challenges that most asylum seekers face in the UK. In addition, they face further challenges since their sexual orientation WLS opens its doors once a month to provide a safe space for LGBTQI+ asylum seekers to feel a warm community welcome, to build community together, and to receive vital support whilst living in poverty awaiting a decision on their asylum application.

Bristol City Robins Foundation is a registered charity striving to make a positive difference for all through sport and learning. The post holder will be based at our Ashton Gate office with weekend work on a Bristol City matchday.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of Robins Lotto and coordinate regular member engagement activities.
• Lead on matchday fundraising, including the 50/50 draw, scratch cards, and bucket collections.
• Develop and deliver successful fundraising campaigns and supporter events (e.g. Tough Mudder, charity runs, corporate events).
• Coordinate fundraising content with the Communications team, including newsletters and digital campaigns.
• Steward relationships with donors, sponsors, and supporters, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
• Ensure that all fundraising activities are compliant with charity law and best practices.
• Utilise CRM systems to efficiently manage donor and supporter data.
• Work in partnership with Bristol Sport Foundation to maximise joint fundraising projects, including planning, recruiting and delivering on all events.

You will have:

• Experience in fundraising, sponsorship, or corporate partnerships (charity or sports sector desirable).
• Knowledge of event planning and supporter engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Confident presenting and delivering pitches or speaking at events.
• A proactive, enthusiastic and community-focused approach.
• Experience using fundraising platforms and CRM systems (desirable).

Our Lay Worker will work in partnership with clergy and lay volunteers to meet the spiritual needs of older people in Colchester and the surrounding areas,  including those whose independence and/or social engagement are challenged, owing to their advancing years, by:

• Offering spiritual support to older people who are living at home, in care homes and sheltered housing complexes; their relatives; and staff who look after them.

About Greater Together Manchester

Greater Together Manchester (GTM) is a visionary local charity which seeks mobilise communities across Greater Manchester, supporting churches and grassroots community leaders to create and develop social justice projects, to take on leadership roles and to engage with decision makers in order to tackle chronic issues of deprivation and disadvantage in their neighbourhoods. We also directly deliver a number of our own front-line services when this is the best way to tackle an urgent, acute need.

Founded as a joint initiative between the Diocese of Manchester and Church Urban Fund in 2015, Since 2015, GTM has supported 271 local community groups, provided training and support to 609 and grassroot community leaders and volunteers, secured more than £500,000 for local community initiatives, and supported 14,188 beneficiaries via our projects and programmes

Purpose of the post

To encourage the development of local churches’ response to poverty and social justice across the Diocese of Manchester, with a focus on developing sustainable projects that look to address the root causes of poverty.

To identify and link with existing community groups working on issues relating to poverty and social justice.

To help parishes work together with other sectors and stakeholders, encouraging collaboration and partnerships.

To encourage a movement for change, encouraging churches to engage with practical action, advocacy and systems change.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Development and Delivery

• Work with the CEO of Greater Together Manchester to develop a work plan for engaging with existing parish based social justice projects and initiatives, with a focus on shifting from crisis response to prevention.
• Provide a range of development support to new projects and initiatives.
• Be the contact person for parishes seeking advice and support on addressing issues of social justice.
• Keep up to date with the work of national, regional and local organisations and charities that work in this space, as well as keeping up to date with government policies, initiatives and communicating these effectively to parishes and communities. 
• Develop effective monitoring and evaluation systems that demonstrate the impact of GTM’s development work.

Revitalisation and Promotion of Church-Based Social Justice Work

• To be an informed and knowledgeable advocate and champion for issues of social justice.
• To meet with leaders from churches across the Diocese to assess their social justice work and offer support and guidance where necessary.
• Raise the profile of church based social justice initiatives and project across the Diocese and amplify the effectiveness and impact of the work of churches in tackling social injustice.
• Support parishes and church-based projects with the monitoring and evaluation of their work, allowing them to demonstrate their impact more easily and accurately.
• Develop relationships with local, regional and national funders.
• Support the delivery of the relevant training for churches across the Diocese on topics relating to social justice.
• Maintain accurate records of development activity with parishes and support parishes to record the impact of their activities.

Promote Effective Networking and Collaboration

• Develop networks of support around social justice issues, acting as a convener, bringing churches together to learn from one another, promoting good practice and encourage peer-support.
• Act as the Regional Coordinator for the Places of Welcome initiative.
• Develop good working relationships with other agencies addressing poverty both locally and nationally.
• Encourage churches to work together with other community groups, charities, and the public/statutory sector to address local issues

• Raise the profile of GTM across the Diocese, encouraging parishes to engage and support our wider work.

Person Specification

Experience: 

• Experience of working with church and community-based groups and projects
• Track record of building successful partnerships and working relationships with people at all levels, including people with lived experience

We are recruiting for Floating Support Worker who will support the Ascent Pan London Service in building sustainable referral pathways and joint working protocols with a range of partners working with survivors of domestic abuse.

You will provide capacity-building in the form of advice, advocacy, support, and briefings across the London boroughs to statutory agencies and community organizations around the needs of  domestic abuse survivors, to embed best practice across our communities.

You will have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to women as well as up-to-date knowledge of legislation relating to survivors of gender-based violence. You will have excellent casework skills, good written and verbal communication skills, clear professional boundaries and be a proactive team player.

About the Role

We are seeking an Executive Assistant to join our ambitious team who will focus on supporting the charity’s leadership and providing governance support. You will play a vital role in supporting the Chief Executive on a day to day basis, helping her to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and to work as effectively as possible. You will also work with the wider team to ensure the efficient running of the organisation.

You will be responsible for ensuring our governance arrangements work smoothly and in line with our governing documents, by assisting the Chair and Vice Chairs, scheduling and supporting Board and Committee meetings, and arranging our Annual General Meeting. You will also have the chance to get to know our network of 38 member charities, who support rural communities in every county in England, arranging meetings and events to bring them together to share knowledge and best practice.

About You

You will be an experienced executive assistant who is also familiar with governance administration in a not for profit organisation. You will be a confident communicator who is skilled at managing multiple tasks to deadline and has an eye for detail. You will be happy working remotely but also enjoy being part of a team and having the chance to build relationships with other organisations. You will have direct experience of living in a rural community or have a strong empathy with our cause.

This role is a great opportunity to play a central role in a small but ambitious organisation and to be part of a unique national network.  It would particularly suit someone who wishes to work remotely and prefers the flexibility of shorter working days.
